How did this thread become about right-wing radicalism? That’s become such a bankrupt tactic, painting anyone who raises concerns about government abuse of power as radical and far right. If you don’t have concerns about Trudeau’s 72 secret orders, half of them in the last two years, I can’t help you. Why this need, MH, to spin for Trudeau?5 points

The policies that have just come out of the WEF in Davos are truly horrifying. They expect students to disconnect from reality much more and learn through virtual reality in order to fear monger children into staying home to fight climate change. We know how inhuman online learning has been these past two years for mental and physical health, socialization, etc. Of course Zuckerberg’s Meta will be the infrastructure. It’s yet another example of unelected, unaccountable elites deciding how the masses should live so that the extremely privileged can do as they like in an environmentally pure refuge. The pandemic provided the excuse for overbearing, radical leftist governments to implement social controls and mandatory programs in health and education. Canada is at the front of this movement. I’m not sure there’s much hope for the Canadian public to push back, as the social conditioning through government communications, policing, and state-funded media is so pervasive.3 points

1. They may indeed be influential, as is the Fraser Institute and any other think tank. And let's not even mention paid lobbyists and political contributions. WEF is another more flaccid version of these... Why be afraid ? 2. You mean like Climate Change ? Are you going to credit WEF for the governments of the world enacting climate change ? 3. Learn about the world from other sources than conspiracy sites...2 points

1. The WEF is a symposium - they don't enact 'policies'. 2. No 'decisions' are made... this is a paranoid conspiracy fever dream.2 points

Yup this is the first modern western democracy to openly violate constitutional rights and turn towards dictatorship. Each day that these mandates continue to remain in place is an affront to freedom and cements Trudeau’s international reputation as a tyrant.2 points

What are you talking about? They couldn't recommend for pregnant women before the Data was in. They don't have to test it because it's a done deal. It worked.2 points

People who are extremely elderly with extremely serious health conditions also die from covid, so you get half-marks. There are no "anti-vaxers" in this argument. The term anti-vaxer is already in use for people who refuse to get their children vaccinated for diseases which are still around and which could be fatal to them. And when I say "vaccinated, I mean the actual definition of the word "vaccinated", they get vaccinated which makes them immune to the diseases in question. There is no covid vaccine. To believe that there is a covid vaccine is to lie to yourself. We have a covid Pflacebo. Read and understand: the people who take the Pflacebo still get extremely sick. True. The people who take the Pflacebo still pass covid around like a joint by a campfire. True. The people who take the Pflacebo still die in large numbers. True. In fact, over 1,000 triple-Pflaceboed people died of covid between March 10th and April 10th in Canada alone. Did 1,000 people who were vaccinated against every other disease known to man die of those diseases in the last 10 years? Keeping score Pflacebo vs actual Vaccines: Covid "vaccine": 1,000 "triple-vaccinated" people DIE of covid PER MONTH in Canada. Smallpox and Polio vaccines: Zero people who are vaccinated against polio and smallpox people die eac month. Less than 10 people who were vaccinated against smallpox and polio died in Canada in the last 360 months. Hmmmmm, 1,000 each month vs <10 in 360 months. Is there a difference?????? In summary: Smallpox and Polio have vaccines. People who refuse to use them or give them to their kids are called anti-vaxxers. Covid has a Pflacebo. People who don't take placebos are not called anti-vaxers. Therefor, you're using the word incorrectly. Now you know.2 points

About 21 years ago, my wife and I bought our first house in Toronto. At the time, I thought we'd paid too much for what we got. But it was all we could afford at the time. Over the next 10 years, we watched house prices begin to sore. So...we bought 2 more houses with our equity. We have 3 kids and each will get a home with a relatively small mortgage. I plan to use my...now really healthy equity position...to buy 1 more place. A retirement home for my wife and I. Something on water, with some land to grow veggies, maybe keep some chickens and rabbits. A place our kids can bring our future grandchildren to learn to swim and just...get away from it all. We saw this coming...or better yet...my WIFE saw this coming, and so we prepared ourselves and provided for our kids. I don't take vacations. I don't buy expensive cars. I live well below my means because...I would hate myself were I not to pass a reasonable life on to my own spawn. So if you're in your late 50's and in here complaining that housing is too expensive and people just can't afford to buy a home anymore...you missed the boat. But hey...I suspect you have a lot of pictures from your expensive holidays and drive a nice new car, eh? At least there's that...2 points

I thought I saw this somewhere.... More wishful thinking from the conspiracy crowd... https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/new-pfizer-docs-vaccines-pregnancy/ " this warning was issued in December 2020, just as the vaccines were being released. The agency has since revisited and removed this warning."2 points

Yes gasoline is at 4.95 a gallon another record high for joe and he has the record low approval rating of any president in decades. Food prices are up another 15 to 20 percent . record amount of illegals highest inflation in 40 years a crime wave across the nation . The dooms day clock is the closest its been in decades . Biden sure is a pace setter for the democrats .1 point

They tried to make Trump out to be a horrible president on the MSM in the US, everything that he did was "racist and stupid". But islamic state was ground to ashes, Al Qaeda was gone or they were in hiding, the war in Afghanistan was winding down quite nicely, the economy was doing well despite covid, he got a Pflacebo, there was a wall going up, illegal immigration was going down, and no new wars were started. The planet was very stable and improving - there was even a normalizing of relations between Israel and an Arab nation. On the down side, violent crime and Fentanyl deaths were still too high, but violent crime wasn't climbing like it is under Biden. Trump didn't do awesome in those areas but he did far better than Sleepy Joe. Now, in addition to Bidenflation, the war in Afghanistan went to hell, Al Qaeda is back, the border went to hell, the Pflacebo hasn't had any effect on covid, but maybe worst of all, Russia and China have announced their new alliance and there's a major war in Europe. There could be a major war in Asia soon as well, because China keeps talking about invading Taiwan. This reminds me of back in 2019 when Willam Devane's commercial would come on Fox News, and he'd say "In these uncertain times it's wise to invest in gold and silver..." and I'd lol. Sonofabitch. I'm not laughing at all now. These are absolutely uncertain times. To say that uncertainty in NA spiked between 2019 and 2022 is an understatement. 2019 was Hakuna Matata and 2022 is that famous AC/DC song.....1 point

A US gallon is 3.79 litres, so $4.95 USD/gal would be $1.30 US/litre, which is $1.63 Cdn/ltr. It wasn't so long ago that gas here in BC was $1.63... according to Google it was Oct 31 of last year. It's $2.26 here in BC right now. $1.8 US per litre. That's $6.82/US Gal. Gas in California averages $6.40/Gal. Gas here in BC is ~ 6% more than in Cali and 38% higher than the US avg. The left coast. Sigh.1 point

1. Yes 2. Of course??? I have a sneaking suspicion had we a Conservative government right now the travel mandates, and the vax mandates would be a forgotten nightmare by now. They spent like drunken sailors. I know. ALL of my kids AND my wife were getting paid 2 grand monthly. Had they actually "followed the science", those shutdowns would have been very short lived. Harper's surveillance back in 2001 or 2...was a result on 9/11 and the British attack I believe? 3. Fake Conservatives...like you? 4. Yes. I do hate Pixie-Dust. And I don't want to just defeat him. I want to embarrass him. I want his dad to roll in his grave.1 point

They also had a duty to protect their employees. The protesters were in violation of Public Health Orders and were therefore not allowed on the premises. They were trespassing. It was their actions, not their views that forced the mall to close.1 point

1. They expect and really believe that these policies will be implemented in countries. You really are naive to the WEF influence, incredibly so actually. 2. You keep telling yourself that but I know with 100% certainty that you’re wrong. Trudeau has adopted most WEF policies, as the plethora of evidence shared on here for the past 3-4 months shows. Get your head out of the sand!1 point

They don't have politicians mandating the closing of shopping malls in minus 30 weather over political views. Very sick these folks tried to freeze out the convoy in the name of "safety" from a flu bug. Mayor Watson should be in jail for attempted murder as should Trudeau if he was involved in the mall closure1 point

I've lost count of the times I'm written off as a left-wing radical whenever I raise concerns about our government's secrecy and abuse of power. Why should any conservative with the ignominious audacity to do the same be treated any differently?1 point

When people begin to realize it is not government that allows house and property prices to soar, and understand it is the consumer/buyers/clients that are driving prices up, then maybe something will happen. When prices go up, it seems more and more people want to get into the home ownership market and drive the prices up by bidding higher and higher for the homes. The government cannot tell you or them not to buy a house. The government also cannot tell the owner of a property to lower the prices or accept less than is being offered.1 point

I will start by answering your question directly, then I may ramble a bit, hahahah Is science necessary for faith? No That being said, the interjection you have just quoted me on was in response to someone completely misrepresenting science in an attempt to discredit years of intellectual pursuit, based solely on his limited interpretation of an ancient text I completely agree that when speaking about origins religions can, should and (when speaking to reasonable people) mostly do speak almost entirely on a metaphysical level ( which I honestly have little time for) As for share in common, first it's pretty hard to find someone else in the same pew at church that have the same view on metaphysics as you never mind the same denomination, or religion or just any other person of faith, but the idea of going through the world with any strong presuppositions seems closed minded to me, I try to limit mine to reality exists and we all share it. I will say I do appreciate the original poster views, as they lead more people out of the oppression of religion than any non believer ever could.1 point

That's how you authorize voter fraud is it? By mocking outrage at Trump wanting the RINOs and Neo-con Republicans to support voter integrity and investigate an obviously rigged election. As far as suspicion goes I notice you have none as to how a guy who couldn't fill an auditorium during his campaign could get a historical record number of votes in the actual election. Not to mention a metaphorical, tropical rainstorm of suspicious activity and outright contradictions to historical precedent in elections and just plain common sense.1 point
-
There are questions about how and if it was properly justified when introduced. But continuing them now has no least grounds in the science or reality. This is as voluntaristic and arbitrary as it gets in Iran and China. Here, the precedent. In a G7 country in the 21st century a majority government can impose on the society entirely arbitrary restrictions with no checks, accountability or recourse. And you'll have to live with it now, indefinitely.1 point

I used to listen a lot to Lowell Green on CFRA radio in Ottawa and I often heard people calling in with the suspicious "You know, I'm a Conservative but I really have to call out Harper (or any Conservative policy) for going too far!" I couldn't help but shake my head at the obvious trolling?. I made a mistake in a previous post in that I incorrectly referred to Jan 6 as an insurrection, my bad.1 point
-
You have a very cavalier attitude about the effects of voter fraud. Nothing to see here , just move along. Not just the 2020 election, many elections. Gee, Why Can’t Trump Accept Defeat Like the Democrats? - Ann Coulter I'm not in the camp that believes the Jan 6 insurrection was the most egregious, horrible undemocratic travesty in the entire history of the US. A relative handful of nutjobs got out of control and it wasn't an orchestrated coup by Trump. They are being severely punished as well as others that were acting peacefully. Judge asks prosecutors why Jan 6 protesters are being treated worse than BLM rioters (bizpacreview.com)1 point

I believe that I can safely say that MH has had his head in the sand since he was five. Just saying. The movie Two Thousand Mules explained it all very well as to the fraud that took place in the last American election. Sadly, there are some members here, no names will be mentioned, believes that conspiracies do not exist when in reality, conspiracies have and will always be a apart of this shitty world and they happen pretty much every day. Anyone who believes otherwise has to be just plain stupid. Just saying.1 point

Let's take a step back. It is clear all of our positions are firmly entrenched and nobody is going to change their mind. The most important thing is, regardless of opposing views, we owe it to each other to respect other opinions. For me, further comment on this topic would be redundant. However, I am not beyond redundancy.1 point

It is sad that there is so much demand for this stuff but Republicans aren't really talking about closing down the border so much as actually enforcing existing laws which makes sense. Once again much of the blame for the fentanyl epidemic can be laid directly on China and the weak Biden administration. How much do Hunter Biden's business deals with the CCP influence his fathers stance on China?1 point

The Prime Minister has little or no Constitutional authority aside for membership in the Privy Council and the Ministry. The Queen has approximately the same constitutional authority as the President of Germany. I don't recall any instance the President of post-war Germany has involved himself in any German political decisions. The same rule exists in many of the leading nations. Japan, Norway, Germany, Sweden, etc. all have heads of state who hold the authority and the heads of government who exersise the power. Normally, the Head of State is above politics and acts on the advice of the government. Only in extreme circumstances does the Monarch intervene. Of course it is all moot. We are a Constitutional Monarchy and that will not change.1 point

You've got it. What is happening is that people who have no hope of understanding the complexities of real world issues invent simplified conspiracy theories so they can feel like they're taking part in the discussion.1 point

Here's a solution that you always ignore: stop being a stooge for MSM bullshit. It would be one thing if you watched it and tried to glean what few facts you can from it and ignored the rest, but you gobble it all up hook, line and sinker, you act on it like a good little boy, and then you regurgitate all their BS far and wide. "WEAR MASKS EVERYWHERE! CLOSING OUTDOOR PARKS IS A GREAT IDEA! BANNING FLIGHTS FROM CHINA IS RACIST AND INEFFECTIVE! NOTHING WILL WORK BUT THE VACCINES - THEY WILL BE SAFE, EFFECTIVE, AND THEY WILL GET US TO HERD IMMUNITY! THE ACCINE SIDE_EFFECTS AREN'T BAD! NOT THAT MANY VACCINATED PEOPLE ARE DYING! PEOPLE AREN'T BEING FORCED TO VACCINATE, THEY JUST LOSE THEIR JOBS IF THEY DON'T TAKE IT!" Honestly if you look back over your posts you're on the idiot side of history all the time. You watch CTV, regurgitate their screed, get proven to be an idiot, rinse, repeat. Dude, the only way that anyone can even be a leftist is if they have a short memory and can't feel shame.0 points
