  1. More like creepy. Watching Zuckerberg testify at the hearings certainly creeped me out. LOL

  2. That’s the thing. They were not given the opportunity. Poll workers would call dem voters only, only in big cities. Those in smaller communities were out of luck. And what about the 15000 that showed up to vote in Pittsburgh, but their vote had already been cast? 15,000. That city is going to pave the way for Trump’s win, I’m telling you.

  4. I think you have that pretty much spot on. ANY religious fundamentalist/fanatic from ANY religion can and often IS picking and choosing the worst part of whatever storybook their cult/fantasies refers to that suits the agenda of their faction. Muslims are little different from Christians for the most part - tolerance is preached to and given credence in most major religions, and intolerance is similarly a common trait of fundamentalism.

  5. And President Trump had a major news conference this morning. He says they’ve got witnesses. The MSM doesn’t believe it(I suggest this would be a good time to start looking for other news sources because the truth is starting to come out), but at the same time wants names. Yeah, the names should be released so antifa thugs can hunt them down and threaten their families. I’m at work so can’t give any links, etc. Way to go Betsy.

  6. That's a dumb Idea. It'd a dumb idea for them to go there, but for them to be forced to go there is...i don't have the words for that stupid.

  7. Democrats partied in massive gatherings after the election, now insisting that thanksgiving should be cancelled. These people are the scum of the earth.

  8. Don't know what news you are listening to, but here's the restrictions for red zones in Quebec ... https://www.quebec.ca/en/health/health-issues/a-z/2019-coronavirus/progressive-regional-alert-and-intervention-system/level-4-maximum-alert-red/ No inter-household visits, unless it's someone who is single, a caregiver or labour. No organized sports, no large gatherings except for church and funerals, with no more than 25 attendees of which a register must be kept. Maybe make sure your info is accurate before jumping to conspiracy.

  9. So, the Michigan Court of Appeals has rescinded their 14 day extension for the receipt of mail in ballots. Nice of them, 2 weeks after the election...before a slam dunk appeal forces them too.

  11. I hope so...I really do. However, the fix is in...done by experts, as Joe Biden informed us in one gaffe. Go big or go home, eh? If you're going to cheat to steal a Presidential election, make it so widespread that any complaints from the opposition will be greeted with skepticism...doesn't have to be BIG...just widespread...and enough. Complainers...sore losers...conspiracy theorists...pile on the negatives. Say the opposition is trying to steal the election...already lost...won't concede...breaking the law. I hate to say...it has worked a few times before...

  12. i'll guarantee I've spoken with more recent new immigrants than anyone else on this forum. They speak english surprisingly well, especially Indian students coming here to study, they push English really hard in India, most who come off the plane are fluent. The ones without english these days are typically refugees, understandably, and the few who come under the parent program (typically aged 60+). The large majority of immigrants to Canada are also fairly young, i'd say typically under 35. The immigration program used to allow people to sponsor anyone in their family, like siblings, but that's no longer allowed.

  13. This simple-minded assessment would make sense if economic orthodoxy, The Royal Bank and Stephen Harper were in on the plan to secure more votes for the Liberal Party. Hint: they may NOT be !

  14. RIght-wing is in the eye of the beholder. I would take a mainstream Canadian view on where it is. As for differences In policy in 2019, I see quite a few here, starting with budget deficits which are a non-trivial matter as we may find out in this country soon enough: https://newsinteractives.cbc.ca/elections/federal/2019/party-platforms/ No serious party is going to run on a Bernier-style policy platform in Canada because the votes are simply not there, as was recently demonstrated. Whom would you prefer: Trudeau or O’Toole? That’s the choice you will have to make. Yes, immigration is a big issue across the West and should be a concern for all parties and factions within parties these days - even US Democrats will be looking at it again in light of theIr poor congressional results - but Trump has done a lot more than build on reasonable worries about illegal immigration and even the scale of legal immigration. Some of the ‘good people’ he refused to disown in Charlottesville were chanting “Jews will not replace us”, a bizarre preoccupation of some white nativists. He constantly panders to these extremists and that is extremely dangerous in a multiracial society. The US does need immigration reform and such legislation would require require bipartisan support which he didn’t work to achieve.

  15. You just said Canada isn't multicultural it's a melting pot. How the heck is it a melting pot when most ethnicities don't want to mix? A melting pot would be people choosing where to live not based on the ethnicity of their neighbours. Much of the GTA is racist as hell. It's sad.

  16. Look what is happening in Europe. France, Germany, Sweden and elsewhere They were not selective in choosing their immigrants. I am not suggesting to select based on skin color. No but select based on potential future contributions to Canada like education, assets for investment, and more importantly cultural compatibility like respect for human rights, other religions and respect for women. Keep out those trash who do not believe in those values especially respect for and equality and liberty of women. I am not sure Canada is fully following those guidelines at the moment and this may mean trouble down the road we don't wish for Canada.

  17. Yet, look at the difference between even the posters on this forum. There's a lot of diversity of belief on even, though most of us claim to be Canadian. I know, you'll come up with claims about attitudes toward women and gays, using the most extreme examples you can find to support your claim. You'll not consider thst born and raised Canadians from European backgrounds exhibit misogynistic attitudes toward women - even trying to control what they wear, beating and killing them if they are disobedient. Many non-immigrant Canadians also disapprove of homosexuality, and until fairly recently (1970s) we would jail them; as recently as the 90s, beating and killing gays wasn't entirely unusual. Just this year, we've introduced legislation to outlaw conversion therapy. Just as Canadians have a diversity of belief, so do immigrants. To other them by using the most extreme examples of behavior to define them as unacceptable in our country all is not a "Canadian" value, imo.

  18. It is not about telling anyone what to do, or that someone enjoying it or not. If we make claims to be a "nation" and have a "culture" and live in a "society" then, one would expect certain conditions to be met: Definitions: Nation - A nation is a stable community of people formed on the basis of a common language, territory, history, ethnicity, or psychological make-up manifested in a common culture. - in other words we are not a nation Culture - the customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social group. - in other words we have no Canadian culture. Putting 100 different cultures together does not make 1 new culture. Society - an organized group of persons associated together for religious, benevolent, cultural, scientific, political, patriotic, or other purposes. - forget about the religious, cultural, scientific or patriotic reasons. We qualify as a society only under "other purposes" namely economic reason, escaping war zones or making money.

  19. The votes were not treated equally. This is a legal, constitutional requirement. This is only one single charge out of dozens, some far more serious. You don’t have to prove your case to me, the SCOTUS will decide for both of us and America. You don’t dare to watch the video, do you? Continue on, then, in your game playing while the simple truth eludes you.

  20. Wow. In the above video linked to by betsy, 17,000 provisional ballots were cast in Pittsburgh. 15,000 of those came into vote on voting day and were told they had already voted. The video has dozens of different examples of nonsense like this. Another example is people in democrat cities were allowed to "cure" their faulty ballot, but in other areas of the state, or in republican heavy precincts, they were not given this opportunity. This is documented and has many witnesses. It's exactly what won the Bush\Gore legal case for Bush. And there are dozens of different ways in which the votes were shifted to Biden. If you are pro Biden, I dare you to watch the video.
