So the news organization that couldn't accept Trump as president now has it on good authority that no fraud occurred, eh? Well they should be happy to have it looked at by the courts then. Trump will look even more foolish when this election gets certified.3 points

What amuses me is how the looney left media screams bloody blue murder of the "democratic" process when what Trump is doing is USING the democratic process as put in place by law to PROTECT legitimate democracy to challenge what may or many not be credible claims of voting fraud. While Trump may be a right proper A-Hole about it, he IS using and respecting the democratic process as it was put in place to do. When the Dems did this, never a peep from the media about "destroying democracy" or any such crap.2 points

This echoes what you can find yourself fairly easily by googling spending by country and then various studies of wait times and health care outcomes. Canada pays as much as many European nations which provide much better health care than we do. The Fraser Institute’s latest comparison of international health-care systems reminds Canadians what we’ll return to when the pandemic ends. The study compares Canada’s health-care spending and performance to 28 universal health-care systems (on an age-adjusted basis in 2018). Despite being the second-highest spender (11.3% as a percentage of GDP), Canada’s health-care system routinely delivered mixed to poor performance compared to our international peers. Of specific concern, Canada has remarkably few medical resources per capita. For example, we ranked second-last for acute care beds (25 out of 26), with 2.1 beds per thousand people. By comparison, South Korea has nearly four times as many beds available (8.1 per thousand) while Japan (5.8 per thousand) and Germany (5.5 per thousand) have almost three times as many. Ontario’s overcrowded hospitals — again, despite few COVID-19 patients — suddenly make a lot of sense. We also rank near the bottom of the pack for the number of physicians available (26 out of 28) with only 2.8 physicians per thousand population, far behind countries such as Austria (5.2 per thousand). https://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/opinion-comparing-canadian-health-care-to-other-countries1 point

Has anyone noticed that the PA Appeals court has ruled in favour Trump's legal team? They ruled that Secretary of State, Kathy Brookvar did not have the authority to extend the deadline for vote-by-mail participants to show their ID by a certain date. This is something that was going to be a slam dunk overrule by any court higher up the chain, so it's basically just the PA court trying to not look foolish by ruling the other way and getting immediately overturned. Still, it's a small victory. Many more to come.1 point

You're admitting to either intentionally having your head in the sand, or outright lying about one of the largest problems that our society faces - big tech censorship and fake news media. Whichever one it is there's no excuse, and for you to pop off with such a hostile response when you obviously don't have a clue wth you're talking about is utterly pathetic. Big tech actually does unilaterally decide what we see and what we can't see, shadow bans etc are very real, and that's a big problem (which you're actively a part of) and when they get inevitably busted from time to time they just laugh it off like it was an minor accident and the fake news just backs them up. If Trump owned FB you'd care, but your handlers own it and you're happy as a pig in demspeak to see freedom of speech go down in flames as long as your fake narrative is amplified. Bogus stories about Conservatives are blasted loud and long on CNN and social media and the tech giants love it, like the story: "totally anonymous sources say that Trump called all fallen soldiers and veterans losers", but when a story about Hunter Biden is verified by his own videotaped admissions, his own emails, his father's boasts & confessions, and his closest business associate on the planet spells it all out in an hour long interview that's nationally broadcast it's "FAKE NEWS - GOTTA CENSOR THE CRAP OUTTA THAT!!!!!". I get that you're here to help boost the morale of the resident sjw's on this site who have failed utterly in their attempt to drive home CNN's fake narratives, and you're a notch above the rest here I'll give you credit for that, but you're still just in over your head buddy. There are still a lot of people on this site who are just smarter than you and you're never going to be able to get us to step in line and gobble up CNN's BS. Your drivel will work really swell on apps like twitter, where intelligent counter-points are buried and never to be seen, but in a forum like this where your idiocy gets equal visibility with the common-sense/factual rebuttals you're hopelessly outgunned and outmanoeuvred. You'll give up eventually beaver. Your ego is taking to much of a beating.1 point

BF will never be able to accept and handle the truth. He enjoys living in a world of lies and deceit. It's so sad to see that people are willing to fight to have their freedoms and liberties taken away from them. Trump has not done one thing to hurt anyone. On the other hand all the democrats ever do is TO try and hurt people all of the time. He is on a roll alright. On a roll and headed right for the end of a cliff and down the steep hill. I do hope that he will soon get to enjoy his roll off the cliff. Lol.1 point

What's idiotic is that you didn't see this coming in advance from a group who got caught cheating on elections so many times in the past 2 elections, and that pushes voter-fraud-friendly changes every year. What's also idiotic is that you dismiss all the signed affidavits and video evidence going around, and act like you some how know that nothing happened anywhere. Your anecdote is also idiotic. You're on a roll and it started the second you got here.1 point

I doubt very much that those people who made affidavits, all under oath, would lie. They would all be subject and could be charged for lying under oath. A pretty stupid thing to want to do and perjure ones self. It looks to me like beaverfever has beaverfever. The deep state globalists social media giants like Twitter and Facebook as examples are in a state of panic and in fear of Trump getting elected for another four more years. They are the ones behind this coup and fraud against Trump. If Trump gets to keep his presidency Trump is ready to go after them big time. There is a section where these social media giants are allowed to get away with what they say and do without anyone being able to take them to court or sue them. Trump will make them all liable for what they say and do. If Trump does lose this election then we are all f'n screwed.1 point

1) when you quote someone, it’s a good idea to demonstrate why you quoted them. Your post has nothing directly to do with my post. 2) Richard Hopkins did not recant his story. He’s been interviewed since and gone on the record saying how pressured he felt in that interview. He should’ve had a union rep with him and possibly a lawyer. It’s interesting that they wanted to get him alone like that. It’s obvious why they didn’t want him to have anyone with him who could protect his rights.1 point

Well, that didn't take long. As usual, any discussion about health care costs and deficiencies in Canada are defended by pointing "south of the border". It is the go-to, reflexive response no matter what the context. It is the Canadian way.1 point

I fell a little nauseous about having to defend our admittedly broken sick care system, but in this case, I need to comment. Our costs in comparison with almost every other more successful G7 state are distorted all to hell because we live where we live. Our economy, our culture and our business links to the WORST sick care system on Earth are so close, we get to practice little of the good and almost ALL of the bad in our efforts to keep Canadians alive. To begin with (IMHO of course, but I think I am on pretty good ground with this) health care and sick care (they are different things) are, or at least really SHOULD be recognized as a social service. South of the 49th, it is a business partly funded by social services (medicare, medicaid, GI and government employees) backed by three big, greedy pigs on its back: lawyers, insurers and big pharma. Because of the fuzzy border between us and US, we tend to do a lot of things in the same way, pay insurance for instance, based on US ideas of liability, wages to keep med pros in, do a little prophylactic medicine (they do a LOT to avoid potential liability claims) and so on. We get the public insurance part fairly right, but totally screw up the interface between private and monopolized public delivery. And, as suggested, we also underfund and understaff but a lot of that is due to the overcost of geography - both our location relative to the US and the very large area and small populations we must serve. It is not appropriate to compare SK to SK for instance: "South Korea is approximately 99,720 sq km, while Canada is approximately 9,984,670 sq km, making Canada 9,913% larger than South Korea. Meanwhile, the population of South Korea is ~51.8 million people (14.1 million fewer people live in Canada)." Add to that SK never sees SK's -40C temperatures, and SKorea is a much more productive culture (survives - actually prospers - on very high level of value added vs. our resource extraction model with little value added) and economy, not saddled with costs such as ridiculous immigration, aboriginal and stagnant region dependency costs. Also, I suspect our dependence on both recreational and US-style prescribed addiction to drugs-for-profit is a major factor.1 point

I don't know if it's been posted elsewhere but I hadn't heard that the total number of affidavits being brought forward in the Trump legal action was 2800 as of 2 days ago. 131 in Michigan and I'll bet twice that number in PA. That's a staggering number. I seriously hope that the election process gets cleaned up in time for the mid terms. It's situation in which the campaign that cheats better and harder than the other side wins. Surely one of the leading nations of the world can do better than that.1 point

I don't think a Nov. 11 Remembrance Day ceremony is an appropriate time to hate on the PM. 1) There are a lot of people who filed affidavits claiming that they witnessed serious voter fraud and you and I have no reason to jump to the conclusion that they are lying because 2) the fact that the Dems are in favour of so many voter-fraud-friendly options and that they have such a well-documented history of cheating on the last 2 elections leaves them wide-open to suspicion. Only an absolute idiot would be surprised to find out that a former Obama speech writer was posing as an 'undecided voter' at Biden's town hall.1 point

Is it hate or disgust your picking up on ? what I see is frustration with a mix of both hate and disgust... one felt but thousands upon thousand of vets and currently serving members... All of these soldiers have picked up the torch handed to us by vets before us, and with out hesitation they have sacrificed, marriages, friends, family, watching kids being born and then growing up, and trust me it's not for the money... It starts out for love of country and soon becomes for the soldier on the left and on the right of you...even today i would do anything for those people day or night, would I pick up a weapon for my nation i'd have to think about that... My nation has let me down to many times, and not just me like i said thousands upon thousands... I don't think any vets would be turning in their graves, i think they would be looking at Canadian citizens to stand up for it's soldiers, not just on Nov 11 , but everyday.. Don't get me wrong i am very appreciative of everyone that comes out and honors our fallen comrades. I find it a little ironic that most Canadians take great interest in honoring our military one day a year, but come tommorrow those same vets will be in our courts fighting for medical benefits, and the same rights most Canadians already have... troops will be prying to the war gods, that one day our government will purchase equipment made in the last 20 years, so on Nov 11 we don't have so many vets deaths to honor.. I hope i live to see the day when Canadians have our militaries back, as much as they have yours.. This is not directed at one political party but all of them... stand up for our brothers and sisters. This years silver cross mother, son was killed bringing a 2 and hand British sub back to Canada because we cheap out.1 point

Hmm. You're not getting it, it's all of the above. The Trump legal team has dozens of affidavits across probably 6 or 7 states. Witnesses on the ground saw all kinds of illegal shenanigans and have submitted sworn statements. I don't know what they all are. I don't think anyone does, outside of the legal professionals connected to the cases. Arizona alone had almost 3000 ballots from out of state that apparently aren't military or students. They shouldn't have been counted and will eventually be deducted from the totals as they should have been in the first place. And here's the bottom line. The evidence is not being submitted to you for your approval. It's being submitted to the courts in the various states to be appealed to federal court and then the Supreme Court if necessary. You and I may never see the evidence, but the justices will, which is what counts. When the courts render their decisions, no doubt they will provide as much detail as possible. Again, there are dozens of instances of laws being broken here. We on the right are only getting snippets of them, and you who who watch only the mainstream legacy media are getting nothing, because they are suppressing this developing story.1 point

Donald Trump's latest endeavor? Asking his supporters to pay his debts The outgoing president has two ‘election defense funds’ – but the small print shows donations will go towards paying off debt Those donating may believe that the money will be used towards challenging the election result, but may have missed that their contributions are earmarked for paying off Trump’s re-election debts. It seems to be the latest episode in the Trump team’s comedy of errors. As Trump continues to refuse to acknowledge the election result by baselessly claiming that Biden’s victory was won through voter fraud, he is also calling on his base for help. Donations can be made to two different funds – Trump’s personal fund, and his joint fund with the RNC. “President Trump needs YOU to step up to make sure we have the resources to protect the integrity of the election!” the wording on both funds says, which is featured in a huge pop-up on Trump’s re-election webpage. It continues: “Please contribute ANY AMOUNT IMMEDIATELY to the Official Election Defense Fund and to increase your impact by 1,000%!” It is unclear who matches the donations. But if you scroll down, past the information about the “Left-wing MOB” trying to “undermine our election”, you’ll see some fine print. On Trump’s personal fund, it dictates that of all donations raised, only 50% will go towards a recount effort, and that “50% of each contribution, up to a maximum of $2,800 ($5,000), [will] be designated toward DJTFP’s 2020 general election account for general election debt retirement until such debt is retired”. On his joint fund with the RNC, the donations work as follows: “60% of each contribution first to Save America, up to $5,000/$5,000, then to DJTP’s recount account, up to a maximum of $2,800/$5,000. [And] 40% of each contribution to the RNC’s operating account, up to a maximum of $35,500/$15,000.” This essentially means that depending on the size of your donation, a large portion of any donation won’t go to the “recount” bid but will instead go to the Super Pac sponsoring the bid, and the Republican party. The bottom line: Trump spent a little more money than he had for his re-election – to the tune of $1.6bn – and now he wants help paying for it. https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2020/nov/10/donald-trump-election-fund-debt1 point

Canada should beware Joe Biden’s ‘Buy American’ mentality With our southern neighbours' recent election of Joe Biden, many commentators and interest groups have expressed relief at the arrival of this career politician with a calmer tone than his predecessor’s. But when it comes to economics, can we really expect a less protectionist president who will smooth trade relations with our country? Like many international trade experts and diplomats, we do not think that this Democratic victory will necessarily mean freer trade between our two countries. While the disputes in the aluminum and steel sectors could settle down, several observations lead us to think that the famous “Buy American” mentality, which amounts to favouring protectionist measures meant to help – but that actually hurt – the American economy will be the new normal. The president-elect even made it one of his campaign slogans. Within the Democratic Party, there is an anti-free-trade movement, fostered by the populist Bernie Sanders, that seems to be gaining ground despite the empirical economic evidence that discredits this 16th-century mercantilist vision. What’s more, Mr. Biden has openly admitted to being in favour of prohibiting Canadian companies from bidding on public infrastructure contracts at the state and municipal levels, something they currently can do. Nor should we forget that Western Canada in particular will probably suffer, at least in certain respects, from the results of this election. Whereas Donald Trump had approved the Keystone XL pipeline that will provide more than 2,000 construction jobs to Albertans, Mr. Biden has promised to put an end to the energy project. Although Americans would lose quality jobs and economic activity that are sorely needed during this pandemic, this could also be another tough blow for Canadians. Regardless of who sits in the Oval Office, it is hard to exaggerate how important trade with the United States is for Canada. In normal times, it accounts for 72.8 per cent of Canadian exports and 51.5 per cent of our imports. Though the fact that we share a continent naturally facilitates trade and constitutes a mutual comparative advantage, this benefit can quickly dissipate owing to coercive protectionist measures and strained trade relations, as we have seen in the softwood lumber saga, where the two governments have been in mediation for years over tariffs. Turning inward has never promoted a general improvement in living standards. Affected consumers must turn to other options, which consist of products that were presumably not their first choice because they were more expensive or of lower quality. Affected producers, for their part, have to deal with protectionist constraints and their attendant costs. Except for the specific companies or sectors protected by quotas and tariffs, everyone loses. It’s not just a bilateral matter, either, since the United States imports raw materials and intermediate goods that it processes to then sell to us. Therefore, when U.S. trade with China or Europe deteriorates for political reasons, the products that they offer us generally become more expensive. For example, the electronic devices we love, and on which you may be reading this, are made from dozens of components from all around the world, even if they are assembled in one specific location. If the trade relations between the countries that participate in the manufacture of such devices deteriorate, it is consumers who end up paying the price. Free trade is more important than ever. Two-thirds of the tourists who visit Canada are American, and the COVID-19 health and political crisis has already reduced the tourism sector’s revenues by nearly $50-billion. With continued uncertainty regarding the anticipated arrival of a vaccine and the complete reopening of our borders, the free movement of goods is a lifeline we need to hang onto. A retreat to protectionism is the last thing our two countries need. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/business/commentary/article-canada-should-beware-joe-bidens-buy-american-mentality/1 point

Yep, we'll just let this simmer for a few days until it really starts to sink in and the left collectively melts down. And it serves them right. The nomination process was orchestrated to make Biden the only centrist candidate, while all of the others were extremists, activists and just not electable. Biden was asked about his son's seized laptop and he immediately left the reporters and would say nothing. That speaks a lot louder than his weak denials about packing the court. Payback's a bitch, Biden. You should have challenged Clinton for the nomination in 2016 when you were fresh off the vice prez gig and had more political capital to spend. And more brain power.1 point
