  1. An environmentally conscious conservative who acts in a way that underscores their understanding of what the word conserve means would get my vote.

  2. Now you know why I supported David Crombie. I am purple. Blue with Red. Must agree with you and the Cowboy Wes...but my heart can bleed...most of us Canadians want middle ground fairness..a little to the right on fiscal..a little to the left on social...a spinal cord with the military..

  4. Not my Liberals. I was an activist member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada for 35 years. I worked on the campaigns of Erik Nielsen, Allan MacKinnon, Scott Wallace, and both leadership campaigns of Joe Clark. My party was destroyed when Peter MacKay stabbed us in the back. Since then I have been an independent. Had Rona Ambrose entered the race, I would be working 24 - 7 for her. My other choice would have been Lisa Raitt. Alas, the choice for leader is pitiful. But don't call me a liberal.

  5. Then welcome to the minority, all the parties jump on this band wagon, until they have been in office for a few weeks then find out our military is nothing more than a hollow shell that has been bleed dry a long time ago...it just refuses to die...and would hundreds of billions to fix … It's been this way since the 60 's there has been plenty of time to talk , discussed in great length, done lengthy research papers, even more studies and polls.... and yet here we are...The China issue this has been happening to us for over 30 years, and we opened the door and poured them a hot cup of tea...wake up call is going to happen when hostilities have started , as we are doomed to repeat our history, happened in the boar war, WWI, WWI, Korea, ….How many times do we have to let all these lessons learned go to waste.. we are either to stupid or to greedy to learn anything from our past...most Canadians got there heads up their asses when it comes to threats from around the globe. I already gave 30 plus years to this country, I'm sorry I passed on the torch along time ago, you want change all of it you pick it up and run with it. And good luck . And until this nation shows some loyalty even some respect to those that have served, and not just DND, but to all those that served in our security depts., Maybe that day will come when vets don't have to take their government to court to get some of the basic services and benefits enjoyed by all Canadians. I have no more loyalty to give to an ungrateful nation. I still have plenty of loyalty to the Royal Canadian Regiment, and to my comrades that served in it. other than that the tank is dry....

  6. The veil is lifting on why the corona numbers don't match the response, the old adage of 'follow the money' applies. There is no misinterpretation of subtle meaning, misconstruing of word definitions, no blue-grey vs. green-grey, the secretary general of the UN is very explicit in his verbiage. Couple this with the whole incompetence of WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and his incompetence now makes perfect purposeful sense: - problem (no problem, everything is groovy to huge problem with made up numbers and its the world's fault for listening to me in the first place) - reaction (global martial law, 24/7 fear-inducing stress porn, control flow of information to only point to the porn) - solution (give us a tithe of at least 10% of all your money and productivity, your new gods) watch at the 3:00 minute mark:

  9. Stealing is not charity, charity is freely given. Scripture is very clear on this point, charity is a personal choice that should not be done with great fanfare, but from the heart that God may see it as a natural continuation of His personal love and care for us individually. (see Luke 19:1-10 for the story of Zaccheus and his unforced giving)

  10. I think that people who were regarded as being nutjobs, like Howie Mandel [for his refusal t shake hands, touch door knobs, etc], will be a lot more common in the future. Personally, I never touch the doorknob of a bathroom when I leave, even if I have to be a contortionist, because I know that lots of people have touched it without washing their hands. Aside from that I'd still rather build up my immunity to things than have my immune system remain a clean slate. I also think that herd immunity is a real thing, and that it's important.

  12. I agree. Trudeau isn’t looking at the whole economic picture and weighing deaths from the virus against deaths from prolonged economic shutdown. He’s making weak-kneed assumptions.

  13. Perhaps if the Liberals weren’t so fiscally irresponsible over the last 15 years, there’d be more funding for these types of things. The Liberals have so grossly mismanaged things that Ontario is now the most indebted non country in the WORLD. Ontario spends tens of billions of dollars each year on JUST PAYING INTEREST ON ITS DEBT. That’s money that could be used for health care and other things. And now Doug Ford is tasked with cleaning up YOUR POLICY MESS. And you have the gull to complain? Get the eff out of here. You people caused this!!! With twice the debt of California, Ontario is now the world’s most indebted sub-sovereign borrower https://business.financialpost.com/news/economy/with-twice-the-debt-of-california-ontario-is-now-the-worlds-most-indebted-sub-sovereign-borrower

  16. Did anyone follow the World of Warcraft epidemic? It was so surreal that real world infectious disease specialists examined it very closely to see how infectious diseases spread. One of the things that occurs to me is that there were certain people who decided to get their rocks off by spreading the disease deliberately. As soon as they got infected they'd head for the biggest groups of people they could find to infect as many as possible. It occurs to me that could well happen with some people in real life now. Or if not some of the more nasty governments or terrorist groups could decide to do it, sending infected people into enemy countries to quietly walk around spreading the disease. Given the long incubation period they could do that for a week, then return home and no one would have a clue who did it. Or, say, put a few infected people into bars frequented by American servicemen near a base. Let them infect a lot of servicemen for a couple of weeks. They return to their base, infect others, all with no one being the wiser for weeks.

  17. Well I guess a lack of nationalism is clearly also a political act with an agenda too. Everyone's stance on nationalism has an ideological goal of some kind. "Obama is an American" is a nationalistic phrase.

  18. 1. Are you sure ? Given the level of threat, I think Canada and the US ended up working together quite well with only the president's statements to 3M as a challenge to the plans in place. 2. You know who. 3. What in blazes ? Nationalism is one of those aspects of life that's so pervasive that you can't trust any assessment about it completely. Your country, of course, but also where in that country you live, your age, your politics... it's part of identity but also an icon and tool used to achieve goals on all sides of the political map.

  20. Fewer people means less garbage. You also mentioned something about needing more people to support seniors. Seniors pay taxes and if they are allowed to continue working in their careers, they would keep supporting you.We force seniors into retirement to provide jobs for younger people and immigrants entering the work force. If we trim the number of younger people and immigrants entering the work force, seniors could continue in their careers providing decades of experience rather than being Walmart greeters or sitting at home on Easter Sunday tapping away on a computer to show you all how brilliant I am. I should be on patrol, getting double time, chasing bad guys.

  21. I cannot see as to how anyone can make heads or tails from what they have read in the bible. It's all pretty much confusing to me. The Noah's Ark story is really unbelievable. The job handed to Noah by some God like being had to be one hell of a make work project for him to have to try and complete. And trying to keep all those predators away from the prey had to be quite the task. And imagine the food that had to be collected for all those animals and birds. He must of maxed out on all his credit cards, eh? Lol.

  22. I was surprised to see this story posted on the Guardian UK yesterday: Revealed: 6,000 passengers on cruise ships despite coronavirus crisis If the companies can be trusted for accurate information (dubious), they still let cruise liners set out after a March 15th deadline, when all of these ships were supposed to be heading back to port and discharging ALL passengers! One of the ships being tracked....off the coast of Uruguay - South America, has over 60% of its passengers testing positive for Covid-19! WTF are they doing and why were these ships allowed to set sail after March 15? So, people who go on cruise ships are obviously stupid and greedy (all it takes is offering a discounted price in front of them). When it comes to the crap...literally, from these luxury passenger ships, the typical passenger is probably similar to the railway sightseers of the 1880's, who took trains heading out to see "the wild west" and shoot some buffalo, like they read and heard about from the dime novels written about Buffalo Bill and other heroes of the west. So, some of the passengers brought or rented guns for special passenger cars that had open windows on one side to shoot and kill thousands of bison that were stampeded by the train and its horseback assistants to be mowed down by the thousands by the assholes on board the train...and left for dead out on the prairie....just so they could tell everyone later they went on a 'buffalo hunt!' A pox on all their houses....literally! I've talked about this elsewhere, but the rich fat parasites who feed off of working people are in line ahead of us grabbing the lion's share of the free money for themselves, and naturally the worst case is in the US, where almost nothing is left for the majority of people. I don't think it has to be this way! And, in the aftermath I hope people can create a system that doesn't feed the parasites anymore! Because events of the past month, shows these sociopath monopolists are not the JOB CREATORS....but instead are just useless parasites who are in line ahead of us at the government trough trying to grab all the goodies before everyone else!

  26. The NDP are basically far left morons who want to fundamentally overhaul our government, they’re not in your lane at all. The Libs are anti-western Canada, and pro virtue signalling. That’s it. If someone cries, they just scream along with them without thinking. Despite 5 years of glowing media coverage the fact that they’re wallowing in ineptitude is blatantly obvious. Canadians are ready to move on. The Tories are the bad guys that the media loves to attack. Scheer won the popular vote and yet the CBC immediately came out with a story suggesting that he had to go. “It was a slam dunk victory for Scheer because Trudeau had so many scandals, etc! The fish had already jumped in the boat at all Scheer needed to do was whack it with an oar!” Funny that, because the media had never characterized Trudeau as Mr Scandal before the election was over. He has always been Mr Virtue in their stories and articles. Bottom line is, you can say any childish insult about the Tories you want, the media will run with it. They’ll lionize you. Lisa LaFlamme will roll her eyes when anyone says anything bad about you. Just remember that for every glowing, vague promise that you make you give a bunch of people a warm feeling inside without alienating anyone. For every declarative statement that you make, you definitely alienate a small voting block, you risk alienating a large voting block. By the time you’re up to five declarative statements you’ve given the opposition 5 chances to make straw-man arguments against you and you’ve alienated a lot of people. Eg, as soon as you say anything decidedly pro-oil you have instantly lost the Greta Thunberg toadies, and they’re a vocal, hateful bunch who will dog you forever. If you go against it, you’ve lost a whole province. So you promise to take a common sense approach to putting Canada’s interests first without being isolationist. “We get that Trump puts America first. Xi puts China first. That’s to be expected. But we all have a strong desire to do a lot of business. We’ll make it work.” Blah, blah, blah. You need to be extremely adept and nimble to tackle topics with declarative statements without alienating people, PLUS you need to have the media characterize your debate points and opposition debate points accurately. THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN. If you think that you can go head to head with Trudeau, speaking concisely, without getting shredded by his sycophantic media horde, I think you’re wasting your time bud. Virtue signal from the center lane. Brag about Canadians and our vast achievements and sacrifices. Brag about how successful immigrants of all stripes have been here and how inclusive our society is. Your call to action is unity and fairness. Attack incumbents for the way our country is currently divided. Attack the general hyper-partisan culture of politicians AND media. Offer strong vocal support of something the Tories say. Ditto for the Libs. All of a sudden you’re the lone adult in the room who is putting the interests of Canadians first. Promise people that their elected MP will vote with the conscience of their own constituents, the way they are supposed to, and not as puppets to the party leader. You can say a lot without making declarative statements. You need to make a career of it or you’re stuck in your day job.

  28. IMHO God created it all, and more importantly, God gave Mankind a brilliant mind so to use to make choices to obey God or rebel against God. Remember too, the tree was beautiful and great and was merely a vehicle to a means. God never said there was something wrong with the tree, itself, God merely said do not eat of the tree. Mankind disobeyed God/rebeled against God, now we all are here today laden in sin. Yes. I liken it, to telling small kids don't touch the stove when you're cooking; There's nothing evil about the stove, as the stove is great for making life easier when preparing meals ---while there's no need to explain here why me and you don't want any toddlers to ever walk over to that stove, grabbing pots/pans while people are cooking.

  30. It just sounds to me like you're trying to change the party's position on things, to promote your own uber-progressive views. It's evident too in your offer to join, if they change their views to yours. Even more ludicrous than suggesting they change their name, but at least I'm kidding.

  32. No, I don't think that's true. I think that, like the OP, all you want to do is attack western society. But the basis of that attack seems to me that western societies are imperfect, are flawed. No one has ever suggested otherwise, however, merely that they're better than any others. And unless you can demonstrate others which are better, which are more equal, which care for the down and out more, then you're argument, like that of the OP, is entirely spurious.

  33. Hey stupid. Pay attention because it's a serious question you need to consider because lives could depend on it. Why do you think leaving an infected house and just negligently going out in public is a good idea? What would your mother say if you did that? Stay the **** in the basement is my guess.

  35. We must never trust any of our politicians and the media anymore, especially that prime mistake we have in Canada who we now can call the prime mistake of Canada. They have all been bought off decades ago by the hidden government that really runs the globalist show. Indeed, 10% will just be the beginning alright. Emperor Trudeau wants Canada to have a seat on some United Nations council. And by the buffoon giving them the money they want to steal from us taxpayer's he surely just may get that seat. So, we may get a 10% pay hike in the carbon tax. 10% of our tax dollars going to the crooked UN. Canadian politicians are getting a pay hike increase while Canada is supposedly being bombarded from some made up virus. How much more do Canadians need to see and realize that they are all just being made fools of and a big con job is going on here? Maybe not use the word notion but instead use the word nation as the in the destruction of a once great nation. Sadly, I believe that the UN will get this money from the Canadian taxpayer's, thanks to this buffoon Pm leader of ours, who should have been consulted first. But no, Emperor gets to make the policies and the decisions now and given away our tax dollars to anyone who wants to take our tax dollars for free. Trudeau even gives tax dollars to other countries to help them fight this so called virus. Are those fools that voted to give Emperor Trudeau another four more years happy now? Probably still are and no doubt would probably vote for him again in the next election. Canada has to be doomed.

  37. So the UN wants AT LEAST 10% of every countries GDP....to start with. If any number of countries did happen to agree to this that 10% will most certainly keep climbing. I imagine a leader like Justin Trudeau is one who would be open to an idea like this. I hope this notion dies a quick death.

So he looks externally to blame others to detract from his coming implosion. He goose-steps but he also likes to train naked in the snow and suck on borscht right from Putin's left tit. He finds people like you to be part of the vodka addiction he has no clue how to stop.
