After 4 years of seeing Hillary Clinton, Climate Barbie, Greta Thunberg, Whoopi Goldberg, Maxine Waters, AOC, Sen Hirono, Ilhan Omar, Joy Behar, Madonna, Elizabeth Warren and Nancy Pelosi on TV I heartily concur that all (Liberal and Democrat) women should be forced to wear the full niqab. It's the dark sunglasses and the gag that should be optional (ie, mandatory as well, but with the appearance of being worn by free choice). Where do I go to convert?2 points

Good for you. Question and challenge everything. Listen I can tell you if we say anything students complain. The moment they do not get a mark they like they file a complaint that we are racist aholes. I just went through 12 accusations all found false that took 3 weeks to investigate all precipitated by one ahole who did not like the mark I gave him hiding behind the race card. Its a fact of life. Freedom of speech is dead. If someone like me says anything it gets thrown back at us in a different context and meaning. Students illegally and without consent tape and film us with their cell phone and add and delete. I had a student tape and film me knowing another was. The other who wanted to complain to me sent in his cut version and I had the other one to back me up. Its ridiculous the lengths students go today to complain when they do not get a good mark. That is another issue. Is it racist though for me to say we have absolutely watered down the standard of education to accommodate international students who pay big bucks to go to our schools amounting to 7 billion a year? Is it racist to say they often can not read or write English at grade 5 level and I am told not to fail them? Its it racist to say the schools now cater to international students as a cash cow and its destroyed the school system? Is that racist? I am the first to commend and assist good international students and they exist. Am I a racist to say otherwise and point out the bad ones? When is a generalization a deliberate act of hatred or bigoted? We all debate that. It depends on context and intent. Hey I whine to Argus all the time about his getting to general in some comments about ALL Muslims but is it racist if he or someone suggests Islam is used to justify terrorism? I am no more or less racist than anyone on this forum. We all have opinions even Taxme who I know is in my subjective opinion a genuine white supremacist but as much as I disagree with him he has a right to his views. Oh face it we live in a censored society obsessed with imagined slights and victims. Cherry's "you people" was a clumsy reference to all of us who came to Canada and all of us did. It was a clumsy reference certain people can use to make themselves feel outraged. His comment was right. We have numerous Canadians new and not so new who have come to this country to enjoy its benefits and refuse to acknowledge the price paid for those benefits. I am a friggin "you people" and I totally agree with him. I am not racist. I hate everyone. As for you just because I disagree with you or vice versa is no big fng deal. We debate right? What happened we can't disagree with people without having to censor them? The people I like the most on this forum I debate all the time. Its a sign of respect. It shows them you listen to what they write. Arguments and disagreements are great. Its what its about. Quite frankly I do not think Cherry gives a damn about his being fired.2 points

Maybe they're hipsters with beard. I still do not believe that you have experienced what you are saying. I come across people from many religious and ethnic backgrounds since I live in Vancouver. I'm active in the community, so there are many opportunities. My wife and children, who are as white looking as they can be, are also out and about in the community. They have NEVER experienced anything you have described below. So this is why I have a very difficult time believing what you are saying. Here are your so-called experiences: - My children were young and not once, but twice I was at a local park and Muslim women come running into the playground to separate their children from my children. - And another Muslim woman in my neighborhood, whom I treated to a special event along with her children, asked my husband how he lets me dress in a bathing suit in front of other men? - And then another tried to convince my young daughter that she should be wearing a Hijab. - And another said that all women should save their hair and skin for their husband because this is the proper way of behaving....blah blah blah - Then sometimes when I go grocery shopping, I can't tell if they are smiling or giving me dirty looks with the Burka on. Really Teena? Seriously? C'mon. You think this is facebook and you can just post bs memes and not be called out on it? From the comments you have made on this forum about Muslims, Teena, and your consistent stereotypes of what "Muslims" do, like the comments above, to me, it sounds like you are full of it. You are only here to propagate the stereotypes and to increase your hate for a diverse group of people. Shame on dishonest hateful people like you.1 point

Canadian conservative nationalist patriots in Canada today appear to freak out the likes of Trudeau and his leftist liberal elite globalist ilk. It is so true that most patriotic Canadians are too afraid to step up and out and would prefer to continue to show their cowardice by locking themselves up in the closet. Communists, Muslims, and terrorists seem to get the attention and get to be in the good books with Trudeau. Trudeau has no problem with having those anti-Canadian culture and tradition people and groups around. I am amazed that these Muslim women who now live in some Western country would have the nerve to walk down some Western street wearing one of those black Halloween costumes today. It is as plain as day that these Muslim women have no plans of ever wanting to try and assimilate into Western culture. It would appear as though they would prefer to want to give the finger to Western culture and traditions. Anyone who immigrates to another country and wants to live there they should adapt and assimilate into that countries culture and traditions. Some come to Canada because they say that they want to become Canadian, but that is a flat out lie. Once many of them get here, they want to keep their culture and traditions in their newly adopted land, and try to even push their culture and traditions on the host country's people. Canada is one country that allows new immigrants with different cultures, traditions and values to walk roughshod over ours. Hate laws are a sham, and are there only to be used against those people I mentioned above. The rest get a free pass. Quebec has the right idea. Leave your Halloween costumes at home, and not bring them to work. The funny thing about this is that the Anglophone media and politicians in the rest of Canada have not said or used the word racism against Quebec? Let Alberta or BC try that. The Canadian MSM and politicians would go ballistic on those provinces. This again shows that Quebec can say or do what it wants to do or say, and the rest of Anglophone Canada will crawl under a bridge and hide and refuse to comment. They will say well that is Quebec's right to do so, but no other province in Canada will be allowed that right to do so, and instead can only expect to be criticized by the media and politicians outside Quebec.1 point

Not so fast. The following countries have state churches and call themselves "Christian" states because they either call themselves that or have state churches: Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Denmark, Greenland, England, Faroe Islands, Georgia, Greece, Iceland, Liechenstein, Malta, Monaco, Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Zambia not of course mentioning the Vatican City because you mentioned it when you technically said canon law. I think though its safe to say all the above states have sufficiently evolved to separate the church far more than many Sharia law states but in all such countries church organizations still have much influence in the institutions of these nations, including hospitals and schools with government funding and for that matter the Catholic Church still has strong influence on the educational and health institutions in many provinces. I agree with you or anyone who says for a democracy to be able to properly function it must be neutral and therefore separate itself from specific values that would cause it to treat some less favourably than others. As a Jew my issue is not with Christian institutions or even having people say Christianity played a pivotal part of and remains a pivotal part of Canadian culture. I think myself it is stupid to deny Christmas or the role of Christianity in Canada or the fact the majority of Canadians are Christian, specifically Catholic. While my ancestors are linked to massacres committed by people in the name of the Catholic Church this does not mean I should not respect the religion and its values and traditions. The only part of Christian values I remain silent on is the concept of saviour. I believe the term as taught by Jesus meant we were all born to be saviours of the world depending on our actions. I see him as teaching a lesson we are ALL children of a greater essence sent to either heal or wound. Its a minor argument. I know some blow that out of the water to say if I do not believe Jesus is the ONLY Messiah, I go to hell, but I believe most Christians get what I say, understand my beliefs do NOT contradict or attempt to contradict their views and we agree on all the same values which were and remain the same in all religions which is to treat people as we want to be treated and through our actions either create positive or negative effects that move on and impact on may others n a good or bad way. I disagree with those shutting down Christian celebrations in the name of political propriety at Christmas. No Christian ever told me not to celebrate a Jewish holiday why would I tell them not to?. I am happy they do. Genuinely. Since when is being Christian offensive or improper? If it is a time people can reflect on higher values and makes them grateful to have family and realize material value is not the only thing in life, why would I want to censor that or act upset about it? Our Canadian history talks about a lot of bad things Christian institutions did particularly with aboriginal peoples which I do not downplay. However for years government off loaded education, health and any social service on the Catholic church who took it on and taught, fed and sheltered people which was a good thing. The fact that some perverted the intent and service of good Christians does not make me throw out all the good with the bad. That said I do defer to Christians who feel betrayed by their own churches but that is their spiritual struggle I must respect as between them and their churches. I just don't want any of them to feel if they were hurt I do not care. I care but in a way that respects them and innocent people who still believe in Christianity. That is all. I am just saying people who have been hurt have a right to hold the people who hurt them accountable. I hope the Catholic and other churches and for that matter all organized religions reform themselves and clean their acts up. All organized religions are corrupted by secrecy and layers of power. Hopefully Islam will evolve as Christianity did and Judaism before that. Y'all ask me we all have a far ways to evolve before we stop killing each other in the same of our Gods, saviours, prophets.1 point

Don't get me wrong, I of course have a certain bias based on personal experience, and yes to say I don't have any predisposed opinions on morals would be intellectually dishonest That being said, my values are based on secular morality, which essentially is based on empathy and well being. Though I believe in a certain objective morality, this philosophy promotes a subjective analysis of each individual situation Again, im not implying in any way, shape, or form that my ideology doesn't inform every decision i take, so because of that i take extra care to make sure my inherent bias is accounted for. A trick I (or anyone else for that matter) use is to simply put yourself in the place of the person(s) who's opinions differ from yours to try and see how, and why they came to their conclusions(empathy) Partisanship is a different matter all together, it intentionally uses that bias without even attempting to correct for it, partisanship makes one think they already have the only answer before even evaluating a specific topic or issue. That i can honestly, and without reservation say that i am not. You said " Activism is impossible within legit academics" what do you mean? Academics is about as far from my wheel house as you could get, but as the rest of your post was thoughtful and reasoned I would very much like to understand.1 point

It's very clear through your leaps of logic that you can't handle the truth of my remarks. Why do you think I'm white? Clearly you haven't read my many commentaries on inner-city poverty, jerrymandering, and racist court practices, especially plea bargaining in many U.S. states. You hear what you want to hear. The truth is that Cherry is calling out a failure to respect the soldiers who fought to protect the peace we have today. "You people" is a poor choice of words because, at worst, it's a reference to recent immigrants. Is there anything wrong with ascribing some blame for the disrespect he sees towards vets to people who recently came to Canada? Why is that wrong or racist? He said that it isn't a matter of race or colour when he clarified that "you people" could be Scots, Irish, or English people as much as anyone else. You hear what you want to hear. My defense of Cherry rests in the fact that we are so fast to throw out a man who has become a central figure in a great Canadian tradition, Hockey Night in Canada. He may not have all the current perfect "woke" graces, but clearly he has shown good graces and respect for many groups in the past. He has also done great charity work. The ageism on here is clear, especially from you. I wonder how you would feel being put out to pasture. As for all your psychology jargon, you'd be surprised at how far modern medicine has progressed. I'm sure you can find suitable meds to support your needs. Also, you lost the right to invoke the Golden Rule in support of your arguments when you equated Christianity with homophobia Remember that? When you have finally extinguished all the heroes and cultural traditions in the name of your particular form of socially engineered politically correct puratinism, don’t ask for protection when the next generation of cultural revolutionaries decide that you’re no longer relevant and need to be sacrificed for the greater good Cherry’s dismissal on Remembrance Day is part of the same cultural wave that brought you euthanasia and campus speech shaming. More people think that Cherry shouldn’t have lost his job than those who think his comments warranted firing, but those voices are drowned out by the fringe Canada is ruled by the special interest fringe. Don’t worry Jacee, the people will continue to swallow your bs We’re all trying to pay the bills and are scared to take up the cause of resisting in case we upset the puritans.1 point

The Scheer Conservatives have lost their will to fight for Canada anymore. They have become so politically correct that if someone called one of those Scheer conservatives a racist they would run like hell for the hills. They do belong in the closet, the bunch of wimps. Hey, if they want to say that I am a member of the KKK, who cares. Right there you know that you have won the conservative battle. When they start calling you names, then you know that you have grabbed them by the marbles. And then I would snap back and call them a Stalinist commie, and then ask as to who is their favorite commie hero? Is it Stalin or Mao or Pol Pot? Some would probably not even know who Pol Pot was. Those commies are nothing more than a bunch of commie red guard ANTIFA thugs, and who are only brave when they have a dozen of their ilk with them screaming and yelling at you. They are the intolerable, bigoted fascists but are too stupid to see it. Go one on one with them, and you soon will be sending him/her back home to mommy crying. These commie thugs are the biggest bullies and cowards going. But back to the topic. So, why on earth would feminists want to tell women to veil up? I don't get it. I thought that all good and real feminists would be against the veil. This is Canada, and what I believe that Quebec is doing here is saying to every religious person out there to leave their religious beliefs at the job site door. Religion needs to be kept in houses of worship, not promoted outside those houses. I am personally offended when I see a Muslim woman walking around the streets of Canada all covered up from head to toe. Hey, if Canada has now become a country of offended people, than I might as well join the gang of offended people, and be offended over something that I do not like to see. Works for me.1 point

I like HRH Prince of Wales, but Canadians are insecure about being ruled by the British Crown, so I'm sure they come up with reasons not to like him. The province is looking at widening the reversing falls area, but they have been studying this for decades, widening the falls would take care of most of the flooding that occurs...I grew up here as a kid, we have always had problems every year with flooding, always in the same areas, yes some years a worse than others, but most of those homes that are in your link have always flooded...and yet every year those home owners rebuild in the same place....every year they get hand outs, it's just another form of welfare...if they took it seriously they be gone by now.... I can remember getting 6 to 8 feet of snow every winter, shoveling roofs was a common practice, we had flooding back then and we have flooding today when we get 1/2 that in snow of rain....The dam controls the river levels here well that and the water flow restrictions in St John....that contribute to the flooding....you can call it what you want, We dammed up the river without really doing a full assessment.... and after 50 years they are looking to solve the problem...1 point

Don Cherry is a Canadian icon. A straight shooter who does not pull any punches. Support the troops and remember your war dead by wearing a poppy on Remembrance Day has always been a Canadian thing since the years after the First World War. Don Cherry said and did nothing wrong by reminding the people of Canada to do so. It is so typical of the Marxists who have run Canada for years now to imply that there was something more sinister about Cherry’s comments because they are using the opportunity to again make their point by twisting his words to suit their agenda. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and all of the liberal politicians and sympathizers want a Canada that puts Muslims 1st. Remember Trudeau's father and former Prime Minister of Canada Pierre E. Trudeau was responsible for forcing “multiculturalism” into Canadian culture, a disastrous mistake for Canada and Canadians but a great policy for further dividing and conquering the Canadian people along racial, cultural and ethnic lines. "Multiculturalism" is just another term for “Cultural Marxism” imop. To any patriotic Canadians reading this I say wear your poppy till Christmas and support Don Cherry and support a Canada free of these vile Marxists who think they own you and the whole country.1 point

The story is about two policemen, one from Québec, one from Ontario, that have to work together to solve a murder case. Both men are the cliché of their respective province. The Quebec cop is sloppy, always borderline in his work, the Ontarian is well dressed, very stuckup, too much by the rule... At one point, the english cop ask the french cop about his swearing and he the meaning. So he teaches him all the words and combinations you can do. While he is explain this to the english cop, he is also beating up the ass of a bandit that is also swearing. The movie is bilingual with subitles, but I think they did both versions for 20% of the scenes. It reduces the quantity of subtitles. So you can rent the english version and 35% of the movie will have french. It's the same for the french version. I recommand it to you. The story itself is so so, but the dynamic of the two men is very funny. There is also a Bon Cop Bad Cop 2, that happen many years later and part of the movie is in USA. So the english cop thought he would have an advantage over his Quebec colleague, but it turns out that despite the language, when he crosses the border, he is no longer home. Do not worry, the movie does not promote multiculturalism.1 point
