My 2 cents.... Carney is spot on in saying 'we accept the world for what it is, not how we wish it to be'. So while I agree that China's human rights record leaves a lot to be desired we're also not in a position to forsake 130B in trade because of our high moral standards. Ask any business owner or the people employed at those businesses if they would forgo their equity and livelihoods so they could feel better about their moral decisions. Not likely at all.... Your affection for Trump and anything to the right skews the understanding of what he's done and wants to continue doing to many Canadian's livelihoods and our economy. We'll be just fine with the US when all is said and done but we also need to better diversify our trading relationships so we're better positioned for the next US president that tries to break our economy. 1 Quote
