This really makes no sense.  Unless you think residential schools abusing children gets a bad rap?

I think it is radically over inflated, and then is apply to an entire generation and all subsequent generations.

It is portrayed as the sin of the government rather than the sin of the individual criminals who did it. While it's true that the government does share some responsibility, it was not government policy to abuse children with a very few exceptions in the 40s and 50s

Good God these reconciliation BS should maybe change AA's 12 step:

go back and punch the wife you abused drunk to show her drinking had 'nothing to do with' the abuse.... I mean if you consider saying sorry is too discriminatory for white men.

Who thinks we should acknowledge this “every single day”?

You.

Show an example of a land acknowledgement that states “we” don’t really belong here?  Or do you think every land acknowledgement implies that?  If so, there’s not much point in talking to you about the topic.  Seems like conspiracy thinking.

Is English a second language to you? Do you not understand that when people say we are on the land of someone else it means it's not OUR land?

Smarter, stronger and more sophisticated?   Thats what you would call settlers compared to natives?

Yes. The natives were clearly unable to do such things as invent the wheel, and clearly weaker and less sophisticated.

Even if they were all those things, did that make it right to take land that was already someone else’s?

Yes. That was how the world worked everywhere since the beginning of time.

Someone can say something, that doesn’t make it true.  You seem really sensitive about what a few people say, even though you can’t point to anyone actually saying it.

Might makes right?  When did that change do you think?

It used to be that way, but it is definitely not that way anymore. Students are taught to hate the country and many have a very low patriotic sense. There's been a number of polls on this.

Trump breathe some life into Canadian Pride, people rallied a little bit when he's threatened to make them the 51st state. But it's actually still not very high even with that and certainly nowhere near where it used to be historically

You Trumpers hate Canada but you’re a tiny minority.

That just makes them even dumber. That they'd use them as toys and never imagine how much easier they could make life if used for transportation.

And you imagine this sentiment makes you smarter?

Maybe they figured building and maintaining roads up and down mountains and hauling wheeled contraptions over them would be to hard to make it worth the effort.  They'd need to do this themselves of course because they didn't have oxen or horses to do the work for them.

So your theory is that it's easier to haul 100 lb on your back than it is to pull 100 lb in a small cart?

Whoooo kaay

People drive 3/4 ton trucks two blocks for a jug of milk.

They'll spend $10 worth of gas to save a $1 on their next fill up.

Probably while texting how superior and smart their race is.

LMAO!

So in other words you're saying that people take the easiest path? So again, do you think it's easier to carry a hundred pounds on your back than it is to use a wheelbarrow?

True, but all you're doing is making truck owners look bad :)  it's not addressing the point.  Wheeling something is easier than carrying it.

It's true, a lot of first nations and south asians DO drive trucks.  ;)

We never used wheelbarrows to pack tail hold blocks and straps a 1000 feet up a mountain side when logging.

The block (a wheel) weighed about 90 lbs and the strap was another 20 - 30.

You wouldn't make 10 feet with a wheelbarrow.

You probably used something wheeled to get to the base of the mountain :)

And most such operations used some form of police system at some point.

If you're going to tell me there were absolutely no wheels of any sort used in your logging activities I'm going to call you a liar to your face

You think Canada is a sh*t country compared to the empty wilderness it was before?

Yes.  Wilderness is not empty.  Every tree has a purpose.

It is becoming empty land now.
