Nobody "opened" the goddamn border. That is a fever swamp fantasy. Border  enforcement today is conducted according to the same laws that have been in place for ages. The Biden administration is repatriating a higher percentage of migrants than under Trump, and a lower percentage are being released into the US.

What has changed is the volume of people trying to gain entry. 

The language of "open border" is a specious political ploy to inflame the xenophobic fears of nativists. But if you want to think of it in those terms, border enforcement was more open under Trump. A migrant would have had a better chance of getting into the US under Trump.

if you drill down on any of those... the Texas Sate Guard appears to be the only "force" not related to a "national guard". And thus might be independent to Texas.

But, the Texas Army, as I recall from my days in Lackland Air Base in Texas, combined with the Texas Navy in 1846 when the State of Texas was ratified as the 28th State of the U. S. A. Both Army and Navy were absorbed into that National Guard. So, any group now calling itself the independent Texas Army is just lying and deluding any followers that they are official in any way no matter who says they are.

Russia has no more right to occupy eastern Ukraine or Crimea than Nazi Germany did to occupy the Sudetenland or western Poland. If Putin wins, he will percieve the United States as weak. A Trump administration will just be an American subsidiary of the Kremlin because Putin owns Trump's balls. Putin will  inflict a second Holodomor and will turn his eyes to the former Warsaw Pact members who have since joined NATO. So, in Nationalist's words, yes, we are all going to die if Putin attacks NATO. Nuclear war is not survivable.
