Your comments make little sense.  Did you read it over before you posted it?  The first paragraph makes absolutely no sense and seems to have nothing whatsoever to do with my comment.  Not sure what you're trying to say there.  Don't know what natives have to do with blasphemy.

In the second paragraph, are you complaining about authoritarianism?  Not sure where in my post authoritarianism comes into it.   Don't think banning blasphemy is authoritarian or unreasonable.  What is unreasonable is course loud mouth reprobates that go around cursing and blaspheming and spitting on the street.  These people should be in a mental institution.  Obviously they were never taught anything.

I think the motive of Trudeau and his bunch these days can be the spite: not to the people even, to the fate, the Universe. They had such a great, grand plan: why couldn't it just work? Unfair. Indignity!

Just imagine: LGBT+++ celebrations followed by native survival celebrations, and all over non stop.

Happy immigrants arriving from the unknown forsaken places in uncounted millions, smiling, happy developers manage to build enough of modern apartments to give away for free or next to, just to live in this new paradise of peaceful enlightenment.

Folks transitioning for a day or few to set multiple world records in everything. The place is awed and admired globally and.. why couldn't we aim ever higher? Its wise councils are widely respected, every their word (even fart) gets written in the global annals of wisdom, before it sets.

All of this beautiful dream could have come true, like why couldn't it? The reasons why it didn't are truly minuscule, infinitesimal: pesky inflation; pesky little people worried about their little bills, groceries and apartments. Why couldn't it just work? So unfair!

Why? They have to do something. They need to feel useful, to justify (to themselves: no other checks) their exorbitant benefits. So, they'll go ahead and keep doing more of it, then still more. For your own good, of course.

To be honest I had a similar experience. There was a first nations kid and this kid was a math genius. Seriously, he was frighteningly good. Didn't do great at some of the other subjects but when it came to math he had a very promising career in a number of career paths. We hung out together now and again. I wouldn't call him a best friend but we knew each other fairly well.

His parents didn't beat him that I'm aware of, but his people who really ought to have known better because they were on pretty good terms with the community around them really wrote his ass about how pointless it was to study "whitey's" education and Very aggressively discouraged him. It was almost like the better he did the less they wanted him to be doing it. He eventually dropped out.
