Trump and allies plot revenge, Justice Department control in a second term

Quote

Donald Trump and his allies have begun mapping out specific plans for using the federal government to punish critics and opponents should he win a second term, with the former president naming individuals he wants to investigate or prosecute and his associates drafting plans to potentially invoke the Insurrection Act on his first day in office to allow him to deploy the military against civil demonstrations.

In private, Trump has told advisers and friends in recent months that he wants the Justice Department to investigate onetime officials and allies who have become critical of his time in office, including his former chief of staff, John Kelly, and former attorney general William Barr, as well as his ex-attorney Ty Cobb and former Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman Gen. Mark Milley. Trump has also talked of prosecuting officials at the FBI and Justice Department.

In public, Trump has vowed to appoint a special prosecutor to ‘go after’ President Biden and his family.

We won't see "weaponization" of the DoJ without EVIDENCE unless Trump gets elected again.

Of course Trump has already convinced the MAGA CULT that there is no evidence against HIM.

The GOP is the FOS Party.
Only one party’s Presidential candidate promises to “lock up” the political opposition.
Only one party’s Presidential candidate is complaining that being investigated is a “witch hunt,” that subpoenas of his children are “unfair”, and who regularly attack judges, prosecutors, witnesses and jurors.
Only one party’s Presidential candidate fired Justice Department officials for investigating his political allies and not investigating his political enemies.

Joe Biden and his son are being investigated by a Federal prosecutor who was appointed by Donald Trump. Biden could have fired this prosecutor; this is the custom when a new President comes into office. Instead, Biden kept Trump’s prosecutor and he hasn’t said a word about it. He didn’t complain when the prosecutor requested and obtained special prosecutor status.

There is no evidence, no tweets, no records of any communication between Biden and any Justice Department official who is investigating Trump and no communication between Biden and the NY and GA prosecutors.

There is EVIDENCE justifying Trump's indictments.

Where is EVIDENCE against Trump's POLITICAL ENEMIES?

None was found against Hillary. None against Biden. Certainly none against Milley, John Kelly, and former attorney general William Barr, and his ex-attorney Ty Cobb.

IOW, you're King Troll.

But Trump has ANNOUNCED HIS PLANS, to weaponize the DoJ.

And that makes the MAGA CULT HAPPY. ?

Trump and allies plot revenge, Justice Department control in a second term

Advisers have also discussed deploying the military to quell potential unrest on Inauguration Day. Critics have called the ideas under consideration dangerous and unconstitutional.

Donald Trump and his allies have begun mapping out specific plans for using the federal government to punish critics and opponents should he win a second term, with the former president naming individuals he wants to investigate or prosecute and his associates drafting plans to potentially invoke the Insurrection Act on his first day in office to allow him to deploy the military against civil demonstrations.

....

The discussions underway reflect Trump’s determination to harness the power of the presidency to exact revenge on those who have challenged or criticized him if he returns to the White House. The former president has frequently threatened to take punitive steps against his perceived enemies, arguing that doing so would be justified by the current prosecutions against him. Trump has claimed without evidence that the criminal charges he is facing — a total of 91 across four state and federal indictments — were made up to damage him politically.

“This is third-world-country stuff, ‘arrest your opponent,’” Trump said at a campaign stop in New Hampshire in October. “And that means I can do that, too.”

Special counsel Jack Smith, Attorney General Merrick Garland and Biden have all said that Smith’s prosecution decisions were made independently of the White House, in accordance with department rules on special counsels.

Trump, the clear polling leader in the GOP race, has made “retribution” a central theme of his campaign, seeking to intertwine his own legal defense with a call for payback against perceived slights and offenses to right-wing Americans. He repeatedly tells his supporters that he is being persecuted on their behalf and holds out a 2024 victory as a shared redemption at their enemies’ expense.

We see it now. Heck some have been convicted of crimes for manufacturing evidence.

I have little doubt trump will seek revenge. They started it, now they get to reap what they sow.

Biden's mob started it, Trump's mob will finish it. That much is obvious. Spin all you want, it is what it is.

Only conviction was for modifying an email wrt Carter Page not being a CIA asset

Quote

Kevin Clinesmith, the former FBI lawyer who altered an email during the Russia investigation that was used to justify the surveillance of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, was sentenced to one-year probation on Friday.

Clinesmith, who worked for the FBI for four years, pleaded guilty last summer to falsifying the communication during the early stages of the FBI's investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 election and possible ties to the Trump campaign.

The document was altered to show that Page was "not a source" for the CIA, even though the original message from the CIA indicated otherwise. The CIA had earlier told investigators in a memo that Page was an "operational contact" for the agency from 2008 to 2013 and provided information about his contacts with Russian intelligence officers.

Actually a number of trump's enemies HAVE been indicted - the Dems and Hillary got fined as well for being dishonest about the Steel dossier  and of course we know about he convictions at the FBI.

I  suspect there will be much more to come if he gets back in, which is precisely what they're afraid of

Al Capone threatened to do similar in his day, he went to Alcatraz Prison anyway, continued his threats, spent time in solitary confinement a number of times, eventually he died there. He was sent there for " cooking his books", committing tax evasion and tax fraud, witness tampering and witness intimidation. Sound like Trump?  Yep.

Sounds like the bidens too to be honest :)

Capone made one mistake - he didn't become president :)  So he coudlnt' pardon himself or get someone to do it for him.

If trump delays his trials till after the election, things get interesting.

I have tried to warn you dumb-ass Libbies...but you press on to this day.

Odds are Trump will be the next POTUS. Republicans are set to vote with your mail-in bullshit in droves. Then show up at the polls in droves.

Independents have no intention of voting for 4 more years of failure.

You've shot your wad Libbies and now...you will get exactly what you deserve.

The good news for you spent limp noodles is...now your women can quit poking your butts with that dildo...because come-upin's is gonna plow right into you.

Enjoy that...

Sure kiddo :)

Did I hear correctly that James, Hunter AND old Joe have been subpoenaed?

By this time next year, Joe will be an albatross around Libbie necks, and Republicans will be enjoying a lot of "payback".

It is inappropriate for Canadians to tell Americans how to vote. That being said, whether President Trump or President Biden is elected in 2024, nobody can say they didn't know who they were voting for.  They are going to get the government they want.

The rest of the world will have to deal with that. It might be a good idea for Canada to start laying the ground work to ensure good relations with the next Administration. In other words, be careful what you say.

Maybe you perverts should stop weaponizing federal departments against your political rivals.

Now Trump is telling his supporters there is NO NEED TO VOTE. He's got plenty of votes. LMAO

AKA, he's off his rocker, or CHEATING on a scale grand enough to flip the election. ?
