Sure !! - take a gun point it at the attendant and you can probably get your gas for free!!!! Because yelling at the gas station is clearly EXACTLY What i mean!!!

Why do left wing nutbars always insist on reducio ad absurdum? Most people grow out of that by age 7.

Enough = the number of times they say no +1.

Oh absolutely - its guaranteed for sure - go gett'em big guy!!!!

God its' amazing you can figure out how to even pump gas.

Now if you're finished being dumber than the gasoline you want to buy - maybe get serious and do your job as a citizen in a democracy and push for change if you don't like it.  That's what living in a democracy is all about

It is incredibly comical that you think that my one complaint... all by itself.. is going to get the price to come down right now or in the near future.  My one complaint is all that it takes. If I am so powerful.. then why have my other complaints mostly been ineffective?

The gov't is aware of how many people are on social media saying that they suck or saying "It's to save the planet, stupid!"

If they're not it's because they're not worried about losing the next election because it's in the tank.

That is not the point. One person's complaint is not going to cause gas prices to come down. My complaining on a given day is not going to cause the price to come down. Needless whining and complaining and getting nothing out of it is not my style.

Just like your vote counts, your social media chatter counts.

The number of likes and shares that a Trump tweet, Rob Reiner tweet, Occupy Democrats Tweet gets matters.

That's why shadow bans and the like were so important over the last few years. Shadow banning very effectively people's access to on-point information. When 20M people are all online talking about Trump's dalliances and saying what a misogynist he was, the last thing that the Dems wanted to see was replies outlining the seriousness & legitimacy of Bill's rape accusations and Hillary's response to them. They needed their narrative to rule and they needed their own skeletons firmly locked up in the closet. Twitter did that for them.

Your social media interactions matter.

The MSM and politicians know right away what they can get away with, what narrative is resonating with the majority of lemmings, what's not, etc.

When people are on all the social media outlets voicing their support for vax mandates, fascist politicians put their foot on the gas.

You can do more to support fascism in 2023 than the avg German could in 1935, and you can do it in real time.

Well first off you're kind of a whiny biatch so people may not have realized it was an ACTUAL  complaint...  :)

So you can agree that my ONE complaint does not change the outcome all by itself.. Yes or no.

Not saying that my one contribution does not matter. It is more a question of how much it actually does matter. To stay on the topic.. lets say that I was on social media. Heads up, I do not use social media as a political tool in any way. But lets say that I did... my one single like, comment, etc is likely only one of 100k. 1 of 100,000, just take a breath and tell me with a straight face that 1 of 100k is going to change the outcome.

Hmmm... so intellectual. So lets put your theory to the test. I will write a letter to my Senator and if the gas price goes down SOLELY based on that letter.. you win. If there is no change or the price goes up, you lose.

Does your vote count? Yes or no...

Your social media account is arguably more powerful because it's in the moment. It has an effect, however small, right on policy outline day, not 3 years later at the ballot box, after the propaganda campaign has erased most of your bad memories.

You're thinking of yourself as a mere stone and ignoring your ripple effect.

When you click like and/or share something on FB, other people see it. Depending on the number of friends you have online, how active they are, and whether or not the content you are sharing is shadow-banned (only allowed exposure to a limited number of people), anywhere from 5 to 500 people will see it, and potentially share it to potentially hundreds more people.

You're a link in the chain between people in different cities and provinces. What you share makes a small wave. What you don't share dies with you.

This is bigger than your vote imo. Your vote may or may not be counted, you may be in an area where the vast majority of people vote 1 way or the other so maybe your vote really doesn't matter, but your social media account does connect with people. If you could influence 5 votes in an election cycle, you could stay away from the ballot box and still have 5x the impact that you would if you only voted.

I love how you can never answer simple direct questions... Why so cowardly?

So you can agree that my ONE complaint does not change the OUTCOME all by itself.. Yes or no.

Let's give you one more chance to show that you are a real man and not just some snowflake that hides behind a computer screen. One word answer..

As for myself, I use social media as an outlet for news on my hobbies; rock music, craft beer, and sports. Notice that politics is not in there... of course, you would not.

Do you see that you can't make a point that's not in the form of a childish insult?

Do you understand that if your lone complaint could unilaterally change policy decisions then that would make you, and you alone, the ruler of this country?

Your point that "you can't change the outcome all by yourself" was silly. The only accurate response to it would have been insulting, so I chose to address a more realistic form of the same statement.

I could hurl back sandbox insults as well as anyone, I just don't want to be that person.

You added this after I already started replying:

Interesting. Politics isn't in there.

Ummmm, ok?

of course, you would not.

I'm pretty sure that anyone could notice whether or not "politics" was in this list:

"rock music, craft beer, and sports."

Your attempted insult lacks oomph.

and as expected... you can't or will not answer a simple, direct question. It is my bad... I expect that folks can back up their supposed bravado online. So adamant and so outspoken but yet can't answer a simple direct question.

It's as good an answer as anyone could give to such a ridiculous question.

"ridiculous".. that is code for "I am a coward". Its ok, you are one of many who talk big but crumble when asked a yes/no question.

Like I said, right wingers have MANGLED the definition to fit their partisan AGENDA.

Can you imagine future students of history reading about the candidates for President showing their fitness for office by proposing to ban Drag Shows and keeping trans girls off the volleyball team?  There will be splainin' to be done.

Well they do actually but obviously reading is a bit of an issue for you.

The links also prove again and again that companies suffer badly from 'going woke' and it hurts them in their pocket book.

And they're from a wide variety of mainstream AND specialized publications - not "The Rolling Stones", which of course is well known for it's business and financial reporting :) LOL

Typical sealion - you were wrong, you relied on ONE heavily bias article (might as well have quoted fox news) from a partisan source that has no experience in financial reporting and imagine that - they were wrong.

Businesses by the hundreds if not thousands have discovered that if you go woke you do indeed go broke - unless you're a publication catering to that crowd.  Companies that try it usually flip hard back the other way as soon as they realize what's happening.

Now you look like a fool. Next time do some actual research instead of grabbing one headline that's an exercise in confirmation bias for you

Um no your articles don’t at all contradict the examples I cited, they’re a collection of spurious claims and unrelated anecdotes from cheesy overtly partisan right wing tabloids that have much less credibility than Rolling Stone.

Like a good little brainwashed MAGA your uncritical thinking doesn’t allow you to understand what you’re reading.

There's been nothing intellectual OR honest about your replies.  You twist what i and others say entirely out of shape. Presumably because you know you're wrong so you HAVE to change what was said to something you think you can win.

Pathetic. And childish.

Acting surprised that people are not taking you seriously or are treating you like you were 7 years old should come as no surprise. Frankly - it's giving you more intellectual credit than you deserve.

Grow up, and people might start treating you as if you had something valueable to say. Right now it's just like watching a puppy chase it's tail - amusing in it's own way but nobody is impressed by the puppy's "intellect".

Oh please. It's such a pathetically desperate wail pretending that the truth isn't true that it's painful to watch.  :) Especially the part where you claim that "the rolling stones'  Is a more reliable source on business than the New York Post :) LOL

ROFLMAO - like a good little brainwashed leftie you lose your mind and start foaming at the mouth the moment you're provided proof your ideology is wrong :)

This is why the left is considered to be more like a religion these days.

Sorry kiddo - dozens and dozens of examples show that get woke go broke is a pretty accurate saying and MANY companies have suffered doing so until they changed their ways. Its becoming more and more recognized that it's not ok to be 'woke' if you want to be in business any more :)

THat's what happens when you ignore reality like you do,

Unlike you and WCM.. I can and will answer yes or no questions.. even if I do not like the answer. No need to "beat around the bush".

No you don't.  And you have to 'creatively rewrite" the answers of others to mean something different.

You're a dishonest player here.  Don't cry that people treat you as such.

Your responses are equally ridiculous. I post something that is somewhat immutable such as the sky is blue, 2+2= 4, Regina is the capital of Saskatchewan, etc. One comment, post, vote, complaint does not change the outcome all by itself. You know this to be true. Can you say that? No.. the reason as to why is quite simple.
