And I am pretty sure that you keep playing Mario games in your grandmas basement all day long. It is time to grow up now and start acting and talking more like a real man, man. LOL.

Man you sure spend a lot of  time fantasizing about me and my life :)  I don't think about you at all.  Not that i'm not flattered i guess, just not interested.

One aspect to wokeness that I am not so inclined to agree with is discrediting movies/music from the past. Yes, those were created at a time when blacks/browns/women were viewed in a lesser light. However, that does not mean that are not well done in some cases. Just take it with a grain of salt (as the saying goes) that it was made in 1972 or whatever. Societies change.... not going to get it right from the beginning.

That is because you appear to be always living in a liberal fantasy world. What more can I say. But, you must be thinking about me all the time because you do  spend plenty of time replying to my posts. I am flattered also, just not interested. ?

I agree.
In 1830, if you wore clothing in America, it was made from cotton grown by slaves.

Today, you’re reading this on an electronic device that was made by slaves. Have we really come so far? If we truly want to be Woke, and I think we should, we should care about ourselves in the world today.

While I agree with not naming US military installations after Confederate generals, I don’t think this should extend to every slave holder in all of history. There are suggestions to rename Berkeley, California and the university in that city because George Berkeley owned slaves. I think that’s going too far and it pretends that we care about exploitation in the past but not in the present.

In the slavery days, slavery was in. Even blacks owned black slaves in America. No black is a slave in America today. Those blacks that want reparations today needs to dry the phk up. Stop with your whining and wanting pity and go get a life and a job just like white folk have to do. I must say though that I am getting pretty fed up with all of this anti-white crap going on in America. ?

Robocop has the mind of a lefty liberal troll. He speaks before he thinks. I do not see you as a troll. Just saying. ?

In America, for example, the fiercest debates have become cultural rather than economic and this has created contradictions within both major parties. Republicans still have many major donors who are focused on getting their taxes down and governments neutered but their voters are increasingly blue collar with no interest in cutting back entitlements. Democrats have also journeyed far from their union roots (in the North) and now find themselves supported by a fractious coalition that includes nearly anyone except those white union guys.

The politicians have it all worked out. It's the people that have not worked it out yet. The politicians always look for something that will divide people up into many groups and then push those groups with the help of the media to cause division. Our politicians and the media are not our friends. They are the enemy of we the people. If our politicians did the job that they are supposed to be doing by trying to unite instead of dividing, we would not be at each others throats and fighting with each other. They divide, they conquer, and we the people lose. It's a win-win for those liars. ?

Precisely so.

If you want to start a news website, it better push some extreme fear or else it just gets lost in the noise.

We used to have three news networks and now we have 10,000. It results in a lot of extremism.

And if you are going for non Republicans, broadcast inflammatory Trump stuff.

But worse than that... Even the so called serious channels like Five Thirty Eight only focus on the election horse race.

538 is run by a statistician.  That’s his area of expertise, so it’s not surprising. Election analysis and, I believe, baseball.

I wouldn’t describe 538 as extremist at all. I’d describe it as “niche.”

No, but it's a serious site.  I listen to their podcast too.. but it's only about the race.

All we get from the lying and fake media in Canada is that all conservatives are pretty much a bunch of extremists and terrorists. And when the many non-thinking for themselves, the Joe and Mary six packs, hear those two mentioned above words from the media, like CTV, CBC and GloBull, they will believe their lies and bull crap without question.

Canada seems to have way too many people who cannot seem to think for themselves, and seem to prefer instead, to allow the lying media to do the speaking and thinking for them. They refuse to question anything told to them by the Canadian media. They will agree with what they are being told w/o question.

Canada would still be a great freedom loving country today, if it were not for those no-minds mentioned above who appear to not give a crap about anything but themselves. Canada is full of me-me-me buffoons and is getting worse. ?

The lawsuits against DeSantis’s “anti-woke” agenda are piling up, and Florida taxpayers are the ones paying the price.

Quote

In Ron DeSantis’s wars on free speech, the LGBTQ+ community, Black history, Black voters, pregnant people, and immigrants, the victims are clear. The other people being victimized by the laws being signed as part of the Florida governor’s absurd “war on woke”? Florida taxpayers, who are literally paying for the lawsuits that follow.

The Guardian reports that “lawsuits from various communities whose rights have been violated have been stacking up against” against DeSantis, and “residents [who] are already struggling with costs of living” are being forced to cover the tab. “The list of legal challenges precipitating from DeSantis’s unconstitutional laws is endless,” Democratic state senator Lori Berman told the outlet.

“We’ve seen Floridians rightly sue many if not all of the governor’s legislative priorities, including laws that restrict drag shows for kids, prohibit Chinese citizens from owning homes and land in Florida, suppress young and Black and brown voters, ban gender-affirming care and threaten supportive parents with state custody of their children, and of course, all the retaliatory legislation waged against Disney for coming out in support of the LGBTQ+ community,” she said. And fighting these suits—which falls to taxpayers—does not come cheap.

As usual, culture wars FROM THE RIGHT.
