Zeitgeist Posted February 18, 2022 Report Posted February 18, 2022 This whole national mess is a distraction from Trudeau’s accountability to pandemic policies that are a suspension of constitutional rights. Vaccine mandates and passports remove guaranteed citizens’ rights from Canadians. If there is currently an “emergency” reason to justify the continued removal of rights, Trudeau refuses to provide one. Countries are dropping these policies. Trudeau won’t explain himself, listen to or discuss opposition concerns. His entire focus is putting down the protesters whom he has publicly humiliated and falsely accused of extremism. It’s unethical, irresponsible, unconstitutional government leadership. It must stop and we must be dogs with a bone in the effort to stop him. Quote

blackbird Posted February 18, 2022 Report Posted February 18, 2022 Parliamentary debate has been cancelled for today. Good. This gives the MPs a chance to watch the police do their job and take back the streets. They will see how peacefully and methodically the police line is moving slowly to clear the streets. Bless the police. There will of course be the odd scuffle and necessary arrests. Wonder if our PM and cabinet is watching what is going on. Perhaps they could learn what they should have done two weeks or so ago. The Ottawa police certainly did not have the resources for the massive scale of this occupation. Quote

herbie Posted February 18, 2022 Report Posted February 18, 2022 Absolute shame of the CPC is that "law and order" was once a pillar of Conservatives and the right. Now they're a mere mirror image of obstructionist US Republicans who'll glom on to any policy no matter how abhorrent, immoral and destructive it is, just because the "libs" are on the other side. The delay in law enforcement has been seen as encouragement by extremists on the pipeline now to vandalize millions in property, threaten and shoot flares and flaming torches at workers on the gas pipeline. They better not "get away with it"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2 Quote
