Britain now the worst hit country in Europe. That was always going to be inevitable. A very densely populated country and a huge global city as their capital is a bad mix in this situation.

The way to re-open and stay open has been demonstrated by South Korea, but I doubt we will be willing to 'violate our privacy' in that way, and I know the Americans won't. Which means there will be second waves and big ones. If you want to defeat it you need intense contact tracing, including electronic, and so far Canada has shown little interest in contact tracing, and the US less.

From data sharing and border closures to targeted contact tracing, some policies have proven more effective than others. Countries that were hit later by the virus are at an earlier stage in cycle of the outbreak and have a distinct advantage: insight into what succeeded and failed in other countries in Asia. However, public health specialists who spoke with CNBC said they’re not confident U.S. officials are taking note of what’s working and what has failed overseas. They predict the virus will likely bounce back in the U.S. as it has in Singapore and Japan.

“This is a tough, tough virus,” said Dr. Dale Fisher, the chair of infection control at the National University Hospital and the National University of Singapore. “All it takes is one infected person and it spreads like wildfire.”

Best evidence of contact tracing efficacy and argument for implementing it. I hope BC does and makes it mandatory along with vaccination.  People who refuse can go live in their own fenced off enclaves and or immigrate to a jurisdiction that will accept them.

We've put up with the quarantine-the-country BS and now that facts are coming out above the din f sheer hysteria and panic we find this:

- 85% of all deaths are in old age homes. This age groups represents about 1% of the population.
- Most likely it is under-reported as these are reports by the government, and for public-run homes. Private homes which have covid deaths are not counted among the 85%.
- Canada has the worst death rate in old age homes among the top 14 western nations.

We are shut down but only in word not deed, yet ignore where the real problem is. Government spokesmen, can you explain?

If CNN gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

If you missed something on the Cultist Narrative Network, don't worry, the dolt horde here will make sure everyone hears it.

Beats skulking around like a miserable old c**t with a chip on his shoulder, and just wait until that chip is patched into Lefty Central Commands contact trace database.

It is amazing how fast our lives have changed completely. Only in January people were talking that there is some virus going on in China, should we be worried about it, but many if not most people said that there is nothing to worry about.

Still in February life was normal even though people already were more worried. Only in March did hell break loose.

Only a few months ago we would have associated the word curfew with some third World dictatorships. The idea that many western countries would learn the hard way the meaning of the word would have been unthinkable only a short time ago.

Now look Cougar, I get it. That Dr. Tam is annoying....you would think for a physician she made enough money to fix her teeth let alone buy shampoo to wash her hair. I get it. But you have to calm down man. Do you own guns? Should I have Mr. Trudeau come get them?  Man that was funny. I needed that rant. Thank you.

I think testing should be a condition for returning to the workplace, as well as daily temperature checks and, where possible, some form of a contact tracing app that provides anonymity to the government but tells the user where there are nearby recent cases.  Otherwise we keep people spread out, require masks where social distancing isn’t possible, and get back to work:
