It does not bolster any argument. I made a simple possible notion and you are running with it like it is my main argument. Let's see the video. That would put a lot of questions ,, and possibly this thread, to bed.

We can't as you know. Doesn't mean it does not exist.

No, you made a simple impossible notion and I am running with it because I think it's funny.

This press conference isn't happening. Clearly they're playing speed chess with the strategies today...

I expect that Ford could step aside - the rehab thing would likely work in his favour at this point.

Wow, what a soap opera. I bet Carlos Danger is thinking "at least I'm not that guy!" I expect Fordy will step down soon and at least claim to be seeking help. I hope he truly does.

How could he call for the chief to resign this morning and say "all he can do is apologize" now? What a profound lack of character.

To be fair, it was Doug that did that and according to what Rob just said, Doug wasn't in the loop.

Apparently he lied to EVERYONE! over this, including Doug.

You believe him? How could Doug not know if I knew?

I'm just reporting what was said. He may have never admitted it to Doug, but that would mean he would have had to lied to him too.

Of course he lied to him. He can't speak without lying. But there's no way Doug is the last person on the planet to know he smoked crack.

He said in the conference that Doug didn't know. I believe that. This was another example of the non-PR approach that gets him elected time and time again.

I don't believe Doug didn't know just like I don't believe he has nothing left to hide. He still hasn't explained what was in the packages that were dropped by Lisi in his car.

He's pretty good at lying and appearing contrite. The bright red face helps, I suppose. But he still is incapable of saying anything true.

Doug knew he smoked crack. Doug probably smokes crack too. Doug just didn't know Rob was going to admit to it later in the day.

Ford is a liar and a crack-head. Nobody should believe this was his only time smoking crack. The only reason he fessed up is that the police probably showed him the video or told him they concluded he was in it, and were going to release the video or their statement or let him reveal his crack smoking himself. He wouldn't go this far lying just to give up if no proof was going to be shown or the police weren't going to tell the media he smoked cracked on video etc.

He is an embarrassment to Toronto and to Canada. He's an international laughing stock giving the city and country and his position bad press. The media attention is also distracting to the city, his office, and his job. Any responsible mayor who loved his city would step down ASAP.

How do you get rid of a mayor that is completely horrible? There should be a way to give the boot to a drunken crack-head liar.

The truth is the drinking is CLEARLY a problem. Doing crack once doesn't mean he's addicted to crack.

I wonder if it'll dawn on anyone in the Tea Party Ford Nation to reconsider what a real gateway drug looks like?

His approval rating went up after the scandal. It's the disengaged voters making an obscene gesture to the establishment, I suspect.

:)

As if the Mayor of Toronto is not part of the very "establishment" which they incorrectly believe that they despise.

The whole purpose of the presser was to give Doug some cover, that much is obvious.

Doug goes on the offensive in the a.m. Robbie spoils the attack strategy by copping to smoking crack, Doug swoops in, forces Rob to do a media event to provide damage control so as not to tarnish big brother's provincial ambitions. Pretty obvious PR gesture.
