The only reason he fessed up is that the police probably showed him the video or told him they concluded he was in it, and were going to release the video or their statement or let him reveal his crack smoking himself. He wouldn't go this far lying just to give up if no proof was going to be shown or the police weren't going to tell the media he smoked cracked on video etc. He is an embarrassment to Toronto and to Canada. He's an international laughing stock giving the city and country and his position bad press. The media attention is also distracting to the city, his office, and his job. Any responsible mayor who loved his city would step down ASAP. How do you get rid of a mayor that is completely horrible? There should be a way to give the boot to a drunken crack-head liar. Doug goes on the offensive in the a.m. Robbie spoils the attack strategy by copping to smoking crack, Doug swoops in, forces Rob to do a media event to provide damage control so as not to tarnish big brother's provincial ambitions. Pretty obvious PR gesture. Quote
