There was no insult. I was pointing out that you must have difficulty understanding text while reading it, because you are misinterpreting what people are saying.

I would suggest taking a few practice LSAT tests. They do wonders for working on reading comprehension, and they might also give you a few pointers on how to be a more convincing internet lawyer.

I have found over the years that when I am posting an opinion while I am upset or angry that I leave the computer for a few minutes before hitting the "POST" button. This is especially true when the board accepts anonymous membership. It is very tempting to allow your avatar to deliver posts or statements that you would never consider making under your own real name. That is why no reputable publication would print an opinion from an anonymous author. Negative statements from any anonymous individual about another anonymous individual only undermine the credibility of the initiating individual and the board as a whole.

My comment referred to Conservative politicians that attempted to benefit from Ford's popularity early on, not the voters. Aligning one's self with a man like Rob, even two years ago, was a calculated risk. They did it to gain some con popularity in what is typically left-land, but it didn't payoff.

The billion dollars in savings claim is the most ridiculous. Removing the car tax actually cost the city money, but it did save residents $200M. However, he then counts increasing user fees by $24M as saving the city money...so he tries to play it both ways. Oh, and residents will also be on the hook for a new $745M Scarborough subway tax which he doesn't include at all. In the end his number is completely fictitious.

Which is all within his right's but it shows yet again what a bald face liar he is since he spent weeks denying the video's existence and saying that if it existed, he'd want to see it. PK years ago in Spadina where Chow was the rep. she was given a hard time by many Chinese who lived in the area who are Nationalist, i.e., they left China because of Mao. They either went to Taiwan or Canada. So many would call her a commie or a Maoist. That is where the joke first started. She handles herself on the streets and did with her own community especially the older Nationalists who called her a commie. Its always been thrown at her. It also picked up again when there was a character in the Doonsbury comic strip called Honey who was a Chinese Maoist in love with Duke. They used to say that was her and Duke was Jack Layton.

That joke has hung on her for ever and she has a sense of humour about it. It does not phase her.

John Tory is going to try cling to the mushy centre and portray himself as kind and moderate and compassionate on the social side and she is going to call him a corporate puppet rich boy and the push back will be she is big spending socialist.

That is how it will play out, 2 politicians trying to portray themselves as centralist and Tory trying to push her back to the left while she tries to push him back to the right.

I do notice some idiot handler has told Chow to use her hands when speaking. Its not her. The Olivia Chow most people know stands with her hands on her hips or crossed in front. This is someone who got very sick and went into the gym and now is in super shape.

She is not a hand flapper any more than John Tory is. Who ever said she must wave her hands to animate her message since her face is a bit stiff from her Bell's Palsy and they want her to look animated to compensate for her unemotional face because of the paralysis is wrong.

She does have a slight slur and paralysis and all these years later still has an ethnic accent that slurs certain words, but people do not mind that. she is small but she comes across very confident one on one. She has a firm hand shake and looks both men and women up and down. She looks people right in the eyes and has very good posture and her voice does not crack with anxiety

Then again you have Ford drunk in public again with his brother playing enabler and calling media bias for questioning the drinking. Its a repeat message driven home so many times it is now simply pathetic pathology.

When Ford gets called on to show how much money he actually saved and why it was him and no one else he will unrave and try bully his way out with insults and self destruct Once the I saved money myth is exposed he will self destruct violently.

I think Ford will have a heart attack or do something violent to himself before this election is over. I do not think he will make it through to the final vote without large melt-down and some sort of tragedy. The signs are all there. In fact he has put on more weight and I notice when he speaks now he closes his eyes. He never used to do that-and this is psychological symptom often associated with someone deeply conflicted. Closing your eyes when speaking can be a sign of trying to escape from who you are and not believing the message you are stating. Either way when its observed in people who are not signers or praying, its often a sign of deep anxiety and conflict and or discomfort.
