Aw crap ! You mean I spent all those hours going to bars and social events spending untolds on the off chance some honey would take me home for a bout of chesterfield rugby? I could have just slept and had him make me one from an extra rib? I should have got the memo. I am gonna rip out a rib tonight and lay it under my pillow. Suckers.

Senate rebukes Joe Wilson
GostHacked replied to B. Max's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The UN is a pack of criminal liars with no credibility what so ever. Who were sucking billions of dollars out of the oil for food scam to keep themselves living like kings in their New York penthouses. Along with funding the agenda's behind their Marxist one world government. And this debunks my statements how? And if you are talking about credibility, I am sure the Bush Administration could use some right about now. -
Doesn't matter what she thought...police have the right to return home safely each night. Their's is a hazardous occupation. I'm sure they were placed on administrative leave, followed by a review or hearing, and disposition. Even if indicted for misconduct, better to be judged by twelve than carried by six to keep you happy. It is the line of work they are in. I have a right to come home in alive as well, but not at the expence of an innocent civilian in her own home. If I screw up on my job, peoples lives are not at risk, well actually they are. I drive heavy equipment at work, and if I am not on my best game, people can get hurt or killed. And if I happened to injure or kill someone at work, you can bet charges would be laid against me and possibly jail time for my screw ups, no pay, no more job, and there would be no second thoughts from any of you for throwing my ass in jail for it. So, in this case, the police officers failed to 'Serve and Protect'. These cops even admitted they screwed up, but you would still wait for a jury to decide?? It does matter what the woman thought. A - 'OH shi... they found my stash.' (reach for gun) She thinks the cops are at the door. or B - 'Oh shi .. someone is breaking into my house.' (reach for gun) She thinks a robber is at the door. Actually it doesn't matter what the cops thought either. Was it a crack house granny or do they even have the right house?? Who cares right?

Senate rebukes Joe Wilson
GostHacked replied to B. Max's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Except for the 500 tons of yellow cake the US flew back to the US that Iraq already had. But this is about Iraq trying to buy more which clearly it was. Which is what Wilson mislead the senate committee about. Except you know the documents regarding the yellow cake from Niger was fake and uncoroberated with any source. Wilson said there were no WMDs and the Iraq Survey Group came to the same conclusion. http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/03/21/iraq.weapons/ March 22, 2004 <-- notice the date people. This has been known for years and the blind still think Bush was right. And that yellow cake?? Hans Blix still hold credibility with me, for he is still saying the same thing he did years ago. The Bush Administration has changed their 'evidence' many times over the past years since the invasion and occupation of Iraq. Nice try thought. The Yellow Cake Theory is just a right wing delusional conspiracy. -
Except you know the truth of the story now that the cops planted the drugs on the woman for they screwed up and got the wrong apartment hence the wrong person. They tried to cover their mistakes by making more mistakes. I would have been more receptive to the cops confession if they came out with it at the start. It is called being responsible for your actions. Even as a police officer you want to make sure you do not kill any innocent civilians, which this case shows that an innocent had died. Turned out the woman had a gun for self deffence. I do not know of any Grannies myself dealing the drugs. So the cops screwed up, which end resulted in an innocent civilian being murdered. Those cops should face the same fate.

The US outspent the USSR during the first Cold War. The Soviets just could not keep up. They tried to keep up the military and could not afford it. Hence the collapse. It seemed to be more of an economical war than anything. Now I see the tables can be reversed. Russia is still trying to get a grip on capitolism, and with the US in a situation with a stretched military acoss the globe, and the economy seems to be tanking ( judging by my Canadian Dollar is at a 25 year record high compared to the US) things are definately changing.

If I was the bar owner, I would do the same thing. For one, it is MY bar. I paid for it, and want to serve a certain client base. Can't go to the swank golf and country club for you are poor. I do not think it is discrimination as more of a wanting to create a niche market for his establishment. It may be his downfall, but again, he is the owner and can decide the policy of the bar. You don't walk into a country bar expecting to be blasted with the latest trance and house hits now do you? This woman should shut her vagina up and just go to another bar.

I've been taking note of this in the past week myself. The US says the missile placements in Europe are to thwart off attacks from rogue states like Iran and North Korea. I can see how Russia might see this as a threat to stability in the region. I can also understand why they would want to target European facilities. The US seems to want this as part of the Ballistic Missile Defence system. Could also be seen as a strategic land gain for the US. The further the fight is from the US the better for them. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18916415/ May 29 2007 Begs to ask the question, is BMD a viable solution? Like the early Patriot system of the US?

China Again Caught Using Dangerous Ingredients
GostHacked replied to sharkman's topic in The Rest of the World
I have not purchased anything from Walmart in over 4 years. And now I am starting to think I should avoid Dollar Stores that have nothing BUT stuff from China. I am drinking coffee out of a dollar mug I got from one of those stores. (eidited my spelling) Things this cheap must come with another form of price.... -
China Again Caught Using Dangerous Ingredients
GostHacked replied to sharkman's topic in The Rest of the World
Lots of things come from China. If you stop buying anything built in China, you will find yourself with not much. Yes it is bad they are doing this. I was gonna post this in my pet food taint thread, but this will do. Both of my LCD monitors are made in China. My Logitec speakers, almost all of my pc was manufactured in China. You'd be hard pressed not to buy something from China. Things need to change I agree. Canada and the US have certain standards for things, and well my LCD says it is Canadian Standards Certified. Should I actually take its word at face value?? But like the pet food and tooth paste, some things are hard to detect until it is too late. How am I to trust the safety of anything I purchase ? -
Venezuela nationalizes oil industry.
GostHacked replied to Big Blue Machine's topic in The Rest of the World
Sorry for getting this off topic, and this is a good question which I am trying to find out about. http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story...71-2703,00.html http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6215815.stm http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=206....fTA&refer=home Looks like he is threatening to take down another TV station. But his reasons for taking those stations off the air are the same reasons I really don't watch television anymore (no cable, just watch what I want online). So you can say 'killing freedom of speech', and 'killing the opposition' here. Other than this (for the moment) I am not sure how the stations played out in support of the attempted coup. -

Has any MSM shown pictures of the weapons??? Like the weapons the US thought Iran was giving to the insurgents? Those beauties has english writing on it. I have a link about that in a thread on here. That story seemed to have died as fast as it was born. Rogue State If you can, point us to some European news articles (hopefully with an english translation) that show us this. Or are you going on what you feel and what others feel around you? Either or, I think it would be interesting to show how Iran is perceived and how by other countries or geo-political entities. The US armed the Muhajedeen (later to become Al-Queda) to fight off the Soviets back in the day. But we were fighting for freedom right? So the Muhajedeen can be free because of it? Now we have some table turning. Kind of like, 'do as I say, not as I do'. I'd really like to see video or photographical evidence to back all this up. Not just some 'field commander' or 'government official' or some other anonymous source being a puppet talking head.

Venezuela nationalizes oil industry.
GostHacked replied to Big Blue Machine's topic in The Rest of the World
I don't know.....do opportunists fill the cells with political prisoners and close down media that are critical of them? The short answer? Yes indeed. But it does not matter to this thread, personally. But I will throw this in, then get back to the oil in a later response. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6696699.stm If any member of an US MSM outlet had a part in a coup against the President, that station would be shut right down as well. Most countries would do this. But it seemed a loophole in the law that allowed Chavez to take the station off the air. -
This was on CNN.com for a moment, and now I cannot find it. Same AP article though. But I thought the US does not negotiate with terrorists??

Venezuela nationalizes oil industry.
GostHacked replied to Big Blue Machine's topic in The Rest of the World
So why not call him an Opportunist then?? And if that is the case, every leader in every country is one. Socialist is not the same as a communist. I think Chavez is thinking of the future of the country. Nationalizing the oil is a start. Let's see who else is doing this. OH LOOK!!! Venezuela's neighbor Bolivia is doing the same thing. http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/latin_ameri...ivia_05-02.html When Big Oil has oil going for 70 US dollars on the open market and Bolivians are making less than 2 US dollars a day, you can see that the money is not staying in Bolivia to help it's citizens. Imagine the standard of living that the Bolivians can have with even 4 US dollars a day or more from Bolivians managing the oil and gas themselves. Over in Chad we have the same thing http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/08/26/...usiness_1936803 But the article also points out that there has been negotiating issues between Chad and Big Oil. Accusing Chad of not allocating the money for the poor which was part of the deal. So it may be more than just taking over the oil and gas for the country, it might be cause Big Oil is not living up to their side of the deal. -
jerry Jerry Jerry. Then say Radical Islamists (a term I accept to describe the extremists), and not just Islamists (to . For I should say Fundamentalist Christians, and not just Christianists (nice word eh?) Islamists are Muslims. Islam is the religion of Muslims. So you group all of them together in this batch. Creating a nice division between US and THEM.

Orange? My bad, I read the poll question again, and it makes sense. I guess my reading comprehension that day was the suck. Iran won't use them on Israel, even if the US/Israel/anyone does not take out the ability first.

Iran planning strike on Europe: analyst
GostHacked replied to scribblet's topic in The Rest of the World
Not just this article, but almost ALL news is reported this way. Speculation after speculation after assumtion after conjecture, after projection....... then at the end of the artlce, .... none of this tripe can be confirmed by anyone for they are all anonymous. Not to mention it seems like it is an AP story. Could be a distraction was needed for all the news about the US doing covert operations inside Iran. I really don't think Iran is in a position to attack anyone. How would Iran carry out the attacks? Ground, air? The European Union is vunerable however. Brussels has control over much in Europe now and the member states have given up much for this new 'Geopol-country'. So any new measures to protect these facilities would require Brussels to sign off on it. More inefficient beurocracy for now there is another level of government in the area. City, provincial, country,(new)block union, then United Nations. The likely of Iran carrying out these attacks in Europe is slim to none. If it does happen, it will be pegged as an Al-Queda like attack, and then you can hear the talking headaches push Iran and Al-queda closer together. Just like they did with Iraq 9-11 and Al-Queda. It pays off to pay attention to the details. Buffycat, is there an english translation for that page?? I can make out about half of it, but my french comprehension is not good. -
Sharkman Again I must point out that Saddam did not have much, IF any WMDs those few years leading up to the Iraq invasion in 2003. Even the Bush Administration retracted those statements recennty. So who'c conspiracy is it? I know you are smarter than that, and have a good memory. So you should be able to come to the conclusions most of the 'loony left' has. It is not looney, and the facts are there for you to look at. But it is how it is presented that obscures the statement. Getting Yellow cake from Niger. Fake. Aluminum tubes. Fake Riverwind Exactly. Now here is one thing I will point out and it would be hard to argue against. The Lefist theories are about big corrupt all wanting control government. The Rightist theories are, terrists wanna kill us be cause they hate our freedoms. Ron Paul said it best. '..because we have been over there.'

That is the worst worded poll I have seen on this site to date. Read it carefully. It cannot be answered.

Bush Orders Secret War Against
GostHacked replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
To me it is the same as 'shooting the messenger'. ABC reports news. Any MSM reports news. The MSM should actually report more news, real news. If the CIA or a government official leaked the information, then the CIA needs to check a few things internaly. Gone are the days of reporters granted immunity for reporting such material. This makes being a reporter an almost useless job. If they fear they are getting prosecuted (like the reporter who broke the Valerie Plame incident) they won't ever report any real news ever again for fear of their job and perhaps their life. Sucks eh? The end result is less real information gets to the public regarding THEIR government. -
The U.S. never did outright armed Iran. However, Iran had purchased a fleet of Grumman F-14 Tomcats from the U.S. http://www.iiaf.net/aircraft/jetfighters/F14/f14.html Other than that I am not sure of any other weapons that the U.S. sold to Iran. Recently the U.S. prohibited any more parts sales to Iran to keep the fleet flying. This could be seen as an attempt to cut Iran off from more planes, and to dwindle the numbers of the current fleet. Some were canabilized in order to keep the rest flying. I am guessing those numbers of f-14s are getting down there, with really nothing else to replace that aircraft for the role the Iranians had used them for. This gives the U.S. a great advantage for air superiority. http://www.iranian.ws/iran_news/publish/article_22017.shtml We can also look at something called the Iran-Contra affair. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran-Contra_Affair Our old pal Oliver North of the US military had a big part in that nice scandal. Cannot say other than that, off the top of my head, about the U.S. supplying arms to Iran.

security and prosperity partnership
GostHacked replied to speaker's topic in Canada / United States Relations
Preasure from the US Government and the $ell of everything-is-missiles-now to a weak minded, selling-out-Canada of a crooked Prime Minister. Canada is more to blame for the downfall of the Avro than the US, no contest there. You still have not explained why countries are STILL developing manned fighter/bomber/interceptor/air-superiority aircraft? I thought it was all missiles now? If these were so obsolete, why are they still in production? They are definately being used around the world in many conflicts, but I thought the missile would render these obsolete?? -
Bush Orders Secret War Against
GostHacked replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
This sounds like some kind of dictator facist, or facist dictator, cannot tell the difference. And the carriers are there on rotation to replace the other 2 that left and came home last year. But I am sure you were keeping track of that. And you cannot bitch at ABC for maybe actually having a backbone and telling the public what it needs to know. More than the US and Iraq and Iran is at steak here. So why not have all the information on the subject. bushcheny Getting an idea on how big that flame is?
