Marketing the attack on Iran through the media
GostHacked replied to kuzadd's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Iraq is proof that the United States cannot even consider a war with Iran. Or any military action against Iran. You will need a few more surges of troops to bring it to a level where you can stage an assault on Iran. But public opinion does not matter. Even if you are an American citizen like our BushCheneysomethingorother. Bushcheney Unlike that uranium that came from Africa before the war in 2003. At least we know for a fact that the uranium. Not to mention North Korea has played the US before. This is what the third, maybe fourth time they have 'stopped' their nuclear programme?? They will get some concessions from the US, and then they will start up the project again. I thought after failing at the same thing a few times, you might change tactics. But the US just keeps going in with their idiodicy. But over all it does seem like the same rhetoric we have seen before the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Keep that industrial military complex machine greased up. The more military, the less of the real important things we need in life. -
Where your federal tax money goes...
GostHacked replied to jennie's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I don't understand how a Crown Corporation is owned by the government but not controlled by the government. Does that make sense to you? It is almost like privatizing government. -

http://www.bank-banque-canada.ca/en/about/are.html Not a federal institution. http://www.bank-banque-canada.ca/en/about/...loi_boc_bdc.pdf The Minister of Finance is just entrusted the shares it seems, for the position is appointable, not electable. That trust gets transfered to the next minister. So no, he does not own anything. Geoffry -

geoffry http://www.bank-banque-canada.ca/en/about/are.html http://www.bank-banque-canada.ca/en/about/history.html The Federal Reserve is also a private owned corporate bank. Established in 1913 http://www.federalreserve.gov/generalinfo/fract/ -
Where your federal tax money goes...
GostHacked replied to jennie's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Here is something for you all to look into. The Bank of Canada is a privately owned corporation. The Government of Canada borrows money from this private bank, with interest owed to the bank on the money borrowed. The National debt is the loan plus interest. The National debt is owed to a private corporation. Your taxes are paying the interest on a loan to a private banking corporation. -

Kimmy, how does this, affect any building codes in the UNITED STATES?? So we can completely ignore this post. You all remember the huge ass fire in the WTC in 1973, 4 floors engulfed in flames. Then they made the recomendation to install fire proofing material and OMG A SPRINKLER SYSTEM !!!.... The arguments here are starting to fall apart. One claims that no fire alone can collapse a building. Possible. One claims that they fall on their own foot print .. also possible. Steel does not need to melt to start collapse, it just needs to be weakened by the fire. Claiming the fire was not hot enough to melt the beams is a dead end line of thinking. It weakens it, but HOW much it was weakened is now the real crux of anyone of your arguments. So any poster here, must now take that into account in their arguments. When some of you wanted a theory, I gave it... but then asshatery went on back to the collapse itself. I gave a pretext for why they were 'demolished' .... but no one really wanted to comment on that further... Here is what I said .... I am no longer interested in HOW it happened, but more on now why it happened.

It's cause we saw the con job for what it was? The pretext was a lie. Only the duped US population went along with the whole plan. Con job. -

What was the pretext?? But telling us the reasons for war are wrong, but the end result was what they wanted, then that is a con job. -

Sure you say it was all public knowledge. So why did not the Bush Admin tow that line instead of the threat Iraq placed on the US. WMDs, and all that stuff. ????? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZPiZYju7h4&NR=1 -
The thing is, companies take shortcuts all the time. Firestone should have found the safety concern way before they were under the gun. They let it go as long as they could to maximize profit, THEN they did something about it. Do it right the first time. Or don't do it at all.

The United States Embassy is the largest foreign embassy in Ottawa. It looks like an aircraft carrier from the side and the top. Back to your regular program. -
Every plant/tree you remove from the eco system affects us humans. They filter out carbon dioxide, that OMG global warming gas and give us oxygen. Also, the more humans on the planet, the more trees we need. Since humans have cleared enough land over the years to create civilization, we are cutting our own throats in the long run. Brings me to a book called Ringworld by Larry Niven. The race called 'puppeteers' had a global warming issue. In the end no matter what they did, an advanced technological race created one byproduct that outweighed everything else. Heat. yes, heat. Anything we try to do is not 100% energy efficient. Heat is a major byproduct of motion, light, sound. Even cooling something inside a box requires heat to be exchanged to the outside. I think this is really the issue at hand. You always seem to be warmer in the middle of a city than in the middle of a forest. Just a thought.

Osama bin Laden is dead
GostHacked replied to Topaz's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The point I was trying to make is, he does shift blame either way. You can also say Clinton screwed up, however, there was another Bush in office just before Clinton. Bush Cheney 2004 also likes to remind us all about how corrupt our own Canadian government is, and I agree with him. That is a twist on my words. SO I shall clarify that the US Admin no longer cared about OBL. For what Americans care about seem to be much different than what the current administration cares about. -

BushCheney2004... If that time comes, then I will gladly eat every bad word I have said towards and about GW Bush. I am not sure if there is a genius in there, for the line between genius and total idiot is a fine, fine line. His track record seems to prove that he is not really on the genius side of that fine line. Sulaco He also tries to shift the blame to previous administrations as well. We all know how much BC2004 loves the Clinton Administration. Sure sounds like a Bush Apologist to me. http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/presents/bin.laden/ This is comming out just in time for this thread. And shows how valid the OBL thing really is. Some of you dismiss it as it is no longer the main focus on the war on terror, but he is still the most wanted man in the United States. Or how does that work, get put on the FBI's most wanted list, but never really pursued. It is like having a huge intricate rap sheet at the Police Station, but no one there really wants to pursue the case anymore. More important things need to take place. -

U.S. Presidential Elections 2008
GostHacked replied to moderateamericain's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
I would not count out the Internets out as a medium to send out a message to the masses. Much of the youth is connected to the Internet at the freakin hip. Text messaging on cell phones, Internet on cell phones, PDA's. Have laptop? Any net cafe, hot spot, ect. The thing is about the Internet, you do not need a huge ass bank roll to get the message out to just as many people as you do on TV. So campaign money is not much of an issue. Hell, look at Mr. John McCain. Down and out it seems. Even money cannot help you if your staff decides to bail on you. Ron Paul is getting great exposure on the TV as well through these debates. He is getting the best of both worlds for the lowest dollar possible. Pretty smart strategy. I am pretty certain you will see Paul go till the last ballot is cast. Guiliani will be the next to bow out of this race within the next month. Mind you now, most of the candidates are very much aware of the Internet and how it has infiltrated our daily lives that part of your work these days involves the Internet in some fashion. Those news blogs seem to have an influence on things as well. So the candidates are aware and have that online presence to get more votes. -
Osama bin Laden is dead
GostHacked replied to Topaz's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Whoa... buttons are back, emoticons are back. Sweeet. Now. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,258817,00.html Answer me this. If you look on the FBI's most wanted list, and in regards to 9/11. The site will plainly show (unless the FBI incompetent at updating simple websites) that Osama has no link to 9/11. This KSM dude admitted to it, also because he was the mastermind of the 1993 WTC truck bomb attack. How does all this get pinned on Osama?? If the FBI does not clearly show Osama is part of 9/11 then what is Osama really wanted for?? Now just don't discard this and say I need to be put into a straight jacket for my BSD (Bush Derrangement Syndrome). If the FBI site is the truth, then Osama is not part of 9/11 and all reports since then about Osama are false. If the FBI site is lying, then major news media is telling the truth. Even at that point Bush would be telling the truth. http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/fugitives/laden.htm http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/fugitives/laden.pdf UPDATED NOVEMBER 2001 So really , ask yourself these questions. Is the FBI just lazy in not telling us why he is really wanted for? Or are they telling the truth, and cannot find anything substantial to say Osama was part of the 9/11 attacks. http://www.september11news.com/2003KSM.htm KSM is not even on the FBI's most wanted list. KSM masterminded 9/11, but not on the FBI most wanted list. OBL is NOT the mastermind behind 9/11 but is wanted by the FBI for OTHER terror attacks. Does this confuse anyone else?? OR AM I JUST CRAZY WITH BSD??? When the next tape comes out of Osama (with video, not some new found audio tape) then we can scrutinize it against what we already know and have seen. I doubt you will EVER see another NEW video from OBL. -
Let your minds chew on this for a bit. If global warming is real, and things will melt and the sea level will rise, ect ect. Why is Dubai even being built? It is right on the ocean. Sea level basicly. That shiney new city in the sand will just get washed away. But yet billions, trillions are pouring into it and skyscrapers are going up at a frantic pace. You'd think those people investing the cash in this place would want to be aware of what lies ahead for the future. If it is fact that the sea level will rise, then Dubai is in serious danger already. Tell me why would it be built if the sea will rise?

Osama bin Laden is dead
GostHacked replied to Topaz's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
But we do have many conflicting reports when it comes to Osama bin Laden. Is he dead? Is he alive? Some reports show us he died in 2001. Some say he died in 2004. So do we really know for sure? If he is dead, that is not known worldwide. Much can be gain by saying the boogieman is still alive and wants to hurt us at any time. If he is dead, another one can be created to take his place. With the pace at which the US is taking out top level Al-Queda operatives, it really could not be far off until they get Osama. Osama does/did need dialysis often enough that he probably has a medical team with him. A small one at that since he travels light and mostly unannounced. If he is dead, who can the powers that be, be made to be the next boogieman? So, if he is dead... how can that play out globaly with respect to the attitude towards the war on terror. If he is alive.... why the hell is he not dead yet? -

GostHacked replied to Topaz's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
If he truley died in 2001, why was he such a threat after his death? That was almost 6 years ago now. But yet, Al-Queda is stronger than ever. We have two major news outlets telling us OBL is dead , or by all intents and purposes may be dead. When is the last time you heard Bin Laden's name in the news in regards to current terrorist activities? http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/osama_dead.html How many times has this guy died?? http://www.thefirstpost.co.uk/index.php?menuID=2&subID=942 - Dated SEPTEMBER 23, 2006 -

Would they get upset if Non-Muslims used the footbaths?? Even as a non religious person, my feet stink. And when I am wearing sandals, the smell is that more prominent. I'd use the footbaths ..... -
How about some work on prevention instead? Cannot put a price on those few who lost their lives on this long known problematic bridge. More money clean up the mess, but no money to actually prevent the mess. That might have cost MUCH less. Now on top of the uber responsive Homeland Security (which could have received funds that was to be allocated for that bridge). Lucky for them there was an emergency to respond to. Imagine if the money was actually spent on fixing the bridge. Problems with that bridge were known back in 2001. But screw the bridges, at least we have a fast Homeland Security repsonse team that can rush to the sceen to tell us that it definately is not terrorism that caused the bridge collapse. Money well spent.

Why is my computer being disconnected
GostHacked replied to Leafless's topic in Support and Questions
Easiest solution, Leafless is to do the reply in notepad or word, then paste it into the reply. It would save frustration for the time being. Are you behind a router? Firewall? Wireless? Just throwin things out there.
