I can think of numerous ways that CDN kids are being exposed to far more harm. Child car seats for one. Televison. Advertising. People do stupid things all the time. Maybe these parents were not worried for they knew the snake was rendered harmless.

You propably eat a good deal of farmed fish but do not know it. I am guessing it can be used for other things in our food supply. The amount of mercury and melamine would have been diluted to the point where it is not a concern. But for me and many others, this is little comfort.

This is just another excuse. It happened before, so what. I guess people are not for change or for good then. Anyone in a military uniform, US, Canada, UK, ect have a standard to hold up. Not living up to it? Take off the uniform. A police officer would be held accountable for these kinds of actions so why not a miliraty person? How about this, if 1 in ten said something about it. I have been doing some reading on the whole tainted pet food scare. And this really is a scare to me. Melamine is used in wheat gluten to up the percentage of protien in the product. Many pets have died because of the tainted pet foods and countless more got very ill. Now it seems like it is trickling over to the human food supply. We ban certain chemicals for obvious reasons.Other countries don't. But yet we import food from those countries that DO use the banned chemicals. Kind of odd is it not? I see how much product goes in and out our door on a weekly basis. It blew my mind when I started and still blows my mind every day I am in there. Thousands and thousands of products sold every day. Fruit and vegetables from all over the world. New Zealand, Chilie, Argentina, China, Cuba, .. we even get oranges from Israel?!? Long trip, hope it's fresh. Now if you look at what you eat on a daily basis. How much meat, dairy do you eat? A good deal of what we eat is processed. Frozen dinners, anything in a box really. Contamination can come from anywhere, where standards for the food chain are shakey at best. Scary stuff is it not?

Back in my day, I believe there was a popular song that dealt with this issue. Not concerned about health and saftey at all?? Besides I am part of management here at my work, so I do have an obligation towards the saftey of everyone in the warehouse. I have had several guys actually thank me for my actions. Time and a place for everything and smoking pot on your lunch break is not one of them. I used to live in Sudbury Ont. Most of the places I worked, you did not fear management, but your fellow worker. If you messed up, a good deal of them are on your case about it. If it was not solved, you had to follow up with management. I live in Ottawa now. Different mentality here. No one wants to snitch for fear of reprocussions. I stand by what I did 100%. It was the right thing to do. If someone got hurt (and when driving a 3000lb machine with a couple tonnes of grocery it can easily happen) then the company is liable for it, because people know the others are stoned. Now what is even funnier is that I am telling people I am the snitch. Not afraid to tell everyone that I was 100% right in my actions. So don't screw up and you wont get in shit for it. Do the job you were assigned to do and do it to the best of your ability. Don't even try, trying is for loosers. This applies to those military guys as well. You have to know that each and every member of your team will have your back. when it comes down to it. You need to know you can trust these people with your life. If they are not acting in terms of the uniform, then they should not be wearing it. Stop making excuses and set a high standard for the military. If you keep on making excuses, then you are just as bad as those in the feild committing these unwanted acts and with those who don't say anything when they know they should. I recall when wearing a military uniform meant something. Have pride in your job and don't be an ass. Well, when you send out your military, you want to make sure you have the best of the best to represent you while in the field correct? Remeber, these guys commit these acts, creates more terrorism and eventually it will come back to bite you in the homeland ass. Just because it happened in WW2 does not make it right. Again stop making excuses.

Last week I got 3 people fired for smoking pot on their lunch break. Being high does not bode well when you are driving grocery pallet haulers that are the weight of a car, plus a few thousand pounds of grocery. If you do not report it, you are just as guilty of the crime as the person committing it. I had a responsibility for the crew in terms of health and saftey. They violated it big time and had to be let go. This is very dangerous thinking. So what if they torture, So what if they damage things needlessly. When you are trying to bring FREEDOM to the Iraqis, you should be setting the standard high. Yes you must take the moral high ground when trying to change the view of the enemy in how they see you. The more it happens, the more enemies you WILL create. So in the end, it is in your best interest to stop being a prick and rat on any soldier who does not stand up to the code of conduct needed when wearing a US MILITARY UNIFORM.... or unless you are just wanting to look like a soldier, but act like an ordinary thug. If so, shame on you for thinking like that. You must be better than them to show them that life and things can be better. You must set the example. Everyone there in a US MILITARY UNIFORM is representing the United States of America. Every single one of them. You don't think that affects the outlook on soldiers? If the surge was to really work, and if it was a solid plan, then 100,100 troops would have been sent in to finish the war once and for all. 32,000 troops will not quell the violence in Iraq. And since they cannot get 100,000 troops, (recruiting is low) this surge will not help overall one bit at all.

I don't know a lot about money/currency apart from videos I have watched on the subject. But basic math shows me that something is missing and many are not getting full value of the dollar. I am not even sure the Official story would stand up in a court of law. Nothing is impossible. Now it comes down to what is more probable/plausable.

From what I know about money and economics (and it is not much), something is missing here. It used to be that the amount of currency that is in circulation must be backed up by hard currency like gold, silver, ect. If you have more money out there than what you can back up in with hard currency, then when people come to cash in their stock, they are either not going to get the whole value of it, or maybe nothing at all. 100 lbs of gold for sake of argument is equivilant to 100 dollars. A pound of gold is one dollar. The current cirulation of money out there is much more than 100 dollars. There are 11 people each with 10 dollars in their pockets. Someone is going to get the shaft, or all of them are going to be getting less gold than what the monetary notes are stated as being worth. So the math does not add up. Now inflation comes into play. Is inflation needed to counteract the deficit of backed up hard currency for the circulation of monetaryt notes? So we raise the value of what the gold is worth in order to compensate for the deficit of hard currency to paper money? Most of our transactions now are paperless. Electronic money transfers. Credits if you will. Cashless society. This is what you are 'virtualy' worth now. Paper money will eventually go out of circulation to be replaced by an electronic system. Credit card. Debit Card and the like.

Well they did not accomplish their goals, and that was to get back the captured soldiers that Hammas inistially took, then something else happened, Israel crossed into Lebanon possibly, and Hezbollah captured them. We know the outcome. No soldiers captured, came home. And they did not kill the enemy. I am not saying this is right, but Olmert should have pressed on untill that happened. The population of Israel would have been more supportive. But again, war can only go on so long if you are not making any progress eithe way. Iraq never had a snowballs chance in hell of resurecting it's programme. First off, a hit in the 80s from Israel took out one facility. I think this is very interesting. Not enough fuel for a uniform symetrical collapse. If anything this may accelerate a non uniform collapse. The side that is structuraly compromised should start collapsing first. And since most of the fuel burned up in the initial fireball when the plane hit, I do not think there is enough fuel for even this scenario. Again I am no engineer.
