I would like to think the vast majority of Canadians have no issue with equal opportunity for everyone. But when it is stated that the public service should reflect the diversity of Canada, that's something different. It says so right on the Liberal website. https://liberal.ca/our-platform/improving-diversity-in-the-public-service/ " Diversity, equity and inclusion" brings up 13,993 results on the Government of Canada website. Liberals are often choosing candidates based on gender/ethnicity instead of pure merit. Everyone deserves a fair shot but the deciding factor shouldn't be anything other than merit.

But our border is actually weak. People can literally stroll across at various locations. Our immigration system is weak as is the vetting process. Crime has risen since 2015. And at least with respect to oil(our most lucrative resource), it is very difficult to get it to market, to say nothing of expanding development. The Liberals have failed to properly address these issues at the minimum. The border problem alone should be a no-brainer but they have done next to nothing since 2015. It is not wrong for the opposition leader to point these things out.

DEI is indefensible at any time but more so given how much the Liberals have added to the debt. Lot's of Canadians are having a terrible time putting food on the table and yet this government makes DEI a priority? It should not be used as a basis for hiring anywhere, certainly not in cabinet positions as Trudeau and Carney have done.

If you honestly believe that the CCP does not flex its muscle on Canadian soil through various means then I think you are incredibly naive. Obviously I am not privy to any hard evidence that would be in the hands of CSIS but I'll take them at their when they say China is engaging in these kinds of activities. Search Assist The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) has issued warnings about Chinese espionage activities in Canada, highlighting efforts to obtain sensitive information for the Chinese government. These activities include attempts to influence Canadian politicians and institutions, as well as the operation of clandestine police stations targeting Chinese nationals in Canada. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/csis-report-china-volt-tycoon-1.7196662
-
There is a fair bit of information out there about the extent of the CCP's activities in Canada. They keep CSIS pretty busy. Search Assist Many Chinese Canadian organizations have been influenced or taken over by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) through its United Front Work Department, which aims to control and monitor the Chinese community abroad. This has raised concerns about the extent of CCP influence in these organizations and their activities in Canada. They operated 'police stations' on our soil, seemingly without much protest from the Liberal government. They have faced allegations of harassment and intimidation towards the Chinese community. There is evidence out there, but clearly a lot of Canadians prefer to keep their eyes closed on this matter as well as many other things. China is not a friend to Canada.

What do Israelis and 'Palestinians' say when they are asked if they truly want peace?
-
I don't know....maybe by his attending their meetings???? Kind of obvious is it not? You aren't interested in finding out more about him and why he attends meetings with organizations that are most likely run by the CCP. Any politician from any party that attends events organized and controlled by the CCP is a security threat. I doubt Carney shares that concern either since he didn't immediately remove Paul Chiang for his 'bounty' threat against his Conservative rival.
-
Based on past social media posts and images. These bogus and rather numerous 'Chinese Canadian' associations are by and large extensions of the CCP within Canada. I doubt Carney has the slightest concern over Chinese foreign interference either. Remember that he stood by MP Paul Chiang even after he threatened his Conservative opponent Search Assist "Many Chinese Canadian associations have been influenced or controlled by the Chinese government, particularly through the United Front Work Department, which aims to manipulate and monitor Chinese communities abroad." Canada is lagging behind our closest neighbor in per capita gdp. https://countryeconomy.com/countries/compare/usa/canada?sc=XE34 Why are there more homeless people than ever before? Why is the number of food banks increasing? People using food banks inquiring about MAID? Health care is a mess. Food prices have gone through the roof. This is not a record to boast about. If the things mentioned above were being properly addressed, I would not hesitate to give credit to Carney and the Liberals. If Carney had managed to reach a deal with Trump(as he said he in his campaign, he was the ONLY one capable) and get US tariffs lowered, I would praise him. US tariffs on Canadian goods are higher now than they were under Trudeau. He rewarded Hamas by recognizing 'Palestine'. I'll support him when the good things he does ever demonstrably outweigh the bad things he does. Given his record to date, that doesn't appear very likely.

To be clear, mass immigration is demonstrably not better for the economy. Mass immigration does raise our GDP but in the same way that the continuous expansion of the public service does(expensive, non-productive jobs). Higher GDP but less important than per capita GDP, a measure where Canada has been lagging for years now. Not to mention the other problems with mass immigration, like the porous vetting process which allows all sorts of undesirable types into the country. Concerning Michael Ma, as more information comes out, it seems that yet another Canadian/Chinese MP has a rather cozy relationship to China. His priority will be to further China's interests. All parties need to really work on the vetting process for their candidates. Multiculturalism by it's very nature doesn't exactly encourage loyalty to Canada, but that's another story. Are there any of these Canadian-Chinese politicians who are actually loyal to Canada instead of China?
-
This is a conundrum for the Conservatives. I personally think their current policies would be better for Canada overall, as in more pipelines, much lower immigration, tougher sentencing for criminals, reduce wasteful foreign aid etc. I thought Erin O'Toole was more of a red-tory and he never gained any traction. Why vote for red tories instead of Liberals if the policies are basically the same. I do concede that the federal Liberals are virtually unbeatable. They've had more than their fair share of political scandals and a pretty poor record since 2015. And yet, it doesn't seem to matter to most Canadians who are more consumed by their hatred of Donald Trump and PP's personality than they are about the actual state of the country.

A Freudian slip?🤔 -
What advice in particular? Should he be more of a red tory? Then the Conservatives become virtually indistinguishable from the Liberals. He is always being called confrontational and divisive, but it's literally his job to hold the government to account. He's been very vocal in criticizing the Carney government for their poor record because they do in fact, have a poor record. The leftists will laugh and cheer about this latest defection while Canada continues to be mired in mediocrity. Carney is laughing too while he openly pursues his Brookfield agenda.

And the grift is still going strong. 40 chapters worldwide(mainly in the US and Canada) and they're still asking for donations. Clearly this scam is still rather profitable. Of course it was the goal all along.- 55 replies

Jasmine Crockett has a very similar vibe to a certain 'super mayor' for some reason. -

I would hope that anyone running for public office would run on something other than "Trump hates me so vote for me!" It's like Letitia James or Alvin Bragg. They literally ran their campaigns (ultimately winning) on the promise that they were going to "go after Trump". And frankly, for the public defender position, it was pathetic that she actually did insist that they hire her because she's black. -

Search Assist Mark Carney is able to meet with Brookfield executives despite the ethics screen because the screen has loopholes that allow him to participate in decisions affecting his investments, as long as those decisions apply generally to a broad group. Additionally, he has been reported to meet with Brookfield executives on personal matters, which may not trigger the ethics screen. personal matters= Carney's Brookfield shares So much for the integrity of the ethics screen.

It's not unique to the US. The rate of dependency on welfare for these people is also very high in Canada. It's mind boggling that people on the left aren't upset with this massive theft of taxpayer dollars in MN. They are literally bending over backwards to minimize it. Category Statistics Total Somali Population in Canada 62,550 Recent Somali Immigrants 8,315 Somali Language Speakers 37,115 Unemployment Rate (Muslims in Canada) 13.9% Estimated Welfare Dependency 35-50% -
Immigration; a stable genius man’s idea

Let's be honest, some people integrate nicely into Western nations. But many others do not. These people have no intention of integrating or contributing to Western society. They came for all the free stuff. Same with London to name but two. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzVJw1-YrkM -
Even if Carney is PM for another 10+ more years or so, does anyone really believe any new pipelines will actually be built? Of all the countries in the world lucky enough to have proven oil reserves, Canada stands out as the one place where it is now virtually the most difficult to build the pipelines. Same goes for many major projects. Indigenous approval for everything. Nothing gets done unless chiefs and band councils get paid off? Other oil producing nation have to be laughing at us.

On that question, I think some were clearly not happy with the verdict. I believe that although they may have been outraged by the verdict, they did not respond with riots. Just as many were outraged about the murder of Charlie Kirk, there were no riots. Quite a stark contrast to the usual response from the left.
