  1. I would put a specific question to you, do you consider the BLM/Antifa riots as being left-wing violence?

  3. It seems there is no legal requirement for ICE agents to show identification according to this link. https://factually.co/fact-checks/justice/ice-identification-requirements-search-arrest-c4c2fa "Federal rules and current reporting show no single clear statute forcing ICE officers to always display identification at the moment of an arrest; multiple lawmakers and news outlets report that ICE is not required to show badge numbers, wear identifying badges, or refrain from covering faces, prompting bills and congressional letters asking DHS to tighten rules." As I said, ICE agents would get doxxed like crazy if they were required to show ID. Clearly many illegals are refusing to comply when ICE shows up, and there is the additional threat of protesters getting physically involved. Sadly, force is often necessary in certain instances. What do cops do when someone gets pulled over and they repeatedly refuse to comply with lawful commands to exit their vehicle? They break the window and drag the driver out, kicking and screaming. If ICE is prohibited from using force as necessary with these people, then it becomes virtually impossible to remove anyone. I think it's reasonable for any nation to determine who should be allowed to come into their country.
  4. I never defended those that acted violently on J6th. The majority were peaceful. BLM/Antifa riots? George Floyd riots? Far more numerous from the left. It's absurd that BLM/Antifa riots aren't considered as coming from the left.
  5. It was kind of an international custody dispute. The boy's mother drowned on a boat leaving Cuba and he was rescued and brought to Florida where he eventually ended up living with an uncle. The boy's other relatives in Cuba wanted him back which ended up in court where it was decided he must go back to Cuba to relatives there. The uncle refused to comply and hence the government sent in the heavy hitters. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elián_González Incidentally, the 'masked thugs' that you referred to are covering their faces for their own safety. If they showed their faces, it's pretty much a certainty that the left would dox them. There are loonies on the right and there are loonies on the left. The difference is, there are more on the left and they have no reservations about resorting to violence as a means to an end.
  6. True enough. But in some countries, cartels have very $trong connection$ and enormous influence on their respective governments. And those governments routinely turn a blind eye to what the cartels are doing.
  7. This photo is from the Clinton era. I agree that drug lords should not get pardons. To be fair, Trump is not the only president that has given pardons to unsavory characters. Some pardons are probably fair while others are not.
  8. Does the merit of the action in question depend on who gives the orders? I bring this up because on the subject of deportations, Obama deported more people than Trump has to date and back then, there was hardly a peep of protest about it while it was happening. And if those narco boats were heading to Suriname and ultimately destined to end up in Europe, there are still a lot of lives saved the decision to destroy those boats. I don't have a lot of sympathy for those engaged in the drug cartel business when they lose their lives. They have caused an enormous amount of harm to societies all over the world.
  9. Politicians of all stripes have an uncanny knack for accumulating a lot of wealth while they are in office, well beyond their political salaries. On the debate stage, Carney had publicly singled out and praised a particular company(Westinghouse) that he has shares in. Carney is fully aware of which companies he has shares in and therefore which policy directions will boost those shares. I counted at least 5 major US oil companies that Carney has shares in from that list. His support for more pipelines in Canada is lackluster at best since there are so many conditions that must be met in order for pipelines to proceed. It's unlikely that any will be built as long as he is PM. It has been suggested that he opposes Canadian oil because it would be more competition for his Brookfield shares in foreign oil companies. Yes, it's just the way things are that politicians have a giant leg up on the rest of us when it comes to enriching themselves.
  10. I am just pointing out a number of Carney's big initiatives will benefit Brookfield, and therefore, himself. Modular nuclear reactors-Brookfield, modular homes- Brookfield, heat pumps-Brookfield, carbon capture and other net-zero schemes- Brookfield(in a MASSIVE way) to name some. I'm not sure if any other Prime Minister in our history has had as many conflicts of interest as Mark Carney currently has. This channel does more of a deep-dive into Carney's many conflicts of interest. https://www.pressreader.com/canada/vancouver-sun/20250410/281938843746045 In 2023, Brookfield spent US$5 billion to acquire HomeServe, a British home repair multinational that has leaned hard into heat pump refurbishments. In 2023, Brookfield spent US$5 billion to acquire HomeServe, a British home repair multinational that has leaned hard into heat pump refurbishments. Carney's links to HomeServe have got him into trouble as recently as October, when Britain's the Telegraph reported that Carney had been actively lobbying the British government to increase heat pump subsidies on Brookfield's behalf.
  11. How many people would have died if that boat reached its intended destination and offloaded its cargo? One country sending deadly drugs into another should surely expect to face some consequences.
  12. Like most people posting in here, I'm no expert in the field of aviation. But from what I've read on this subject, the F-35 seems like the better choice for Canada. There is something else that must be considered. Many of Mark Carney's major policy initiatives just so happen to be beneficial to Brookfield. As we all know, he has a considerable amount of shares (mostly in American companies). If you scroll down to page 10 of this link, you'll see that Carney has shares in Lockheed-Martin, who build the F-35. https://prciec-rpccie.parl.gc.ca/Lists/Declarations/Attachments/43657/Appendix Summary Statement - Annexe Declaration Sommaire.pdf This fact alone is probably the most important consideration with this huge procurement. This video was pretty interesting. Both former fighter pilots discussing the pros and cons of each jet.
  13. You might be correct about that lol
  14. The profits could have been much more had all those oil and gas energy projects not been cancelled because of Liberal hostility to that sector. Energy East, Northern Gateway and on and on.
  15. We have lot's of oil and gas reserves so why not use it? I realize that isn't going to change much if Carney wins. He's already said he's keeping C-69 aka the no more pipelines bill. He is committed to net-zero for Canada while he has invested in pipelines in other countries.
  16. Supply and demand? And think of all those high paying jobs that could have come from all those cancelled projects. We know Carney has no problem with the foreign pipelines he's invested in, he just doesn't like the Canadian competition.
  17. What would energy prices be like today if all of these projects from 2015-2020 were not cancelled?
  18. I'm pretty sure that 1% you speak of includes Mark Carney.
  19. No thanks robo, Canada already has enough leftists here lol.
  20. In the video I posted there is also a mention of the US investigating GFANZ which Carney is also involved with. It has to do with antitrust violations. So the situation has the potential to get nasty for Canada if these guys escalate things.
  21. One channel I like on YouTube is Moose on the Loose. He had a great segment today in which he discussed whether Carney has some kind of leverage over Trump which is rather complex. It has to do with Qatar-Jared Kushner and his Middle East deal-and how it's related to Brookfield. Apparently Qatar is one of the largest investors in Brookfield. Qatar has the world's largest LNG company so their stake in Brookfield means that they want to keep the LNG competition down. Which could explain Carney's reluctance to help Canada's oil and gas sector. Pretty interesting to watch. On a side note, guess which asset management company happens to have a lot of environmental violations? You can scroll to 12:40 in the above video or the link below. https://violationtracker.goodjobsfirst.org/?company=Brookfield&order=pen_year&sort
  22. And Carney is going to hit those same Canadian steel and aluminum plants with the industrial carbon tax, increasing the cost to everyone, or driving those industries abroad.
  23. Wishing you a very speedy recovery!
  24. Lower costs? Are you sure about that? Certainly not for the price of housing.
  25. I would disagree in that I believe China is the biggest threat. Trump may be a threat to the radical leftists more than anything but I acknowledge he is certainly shaking things up. He has always been correct that the US has to carry an unfairly large burden when it comes to providing military security. China is going to interfere in our current election and the Liberals will do nothing about it. There was even a Liberal candidate(Chinese) calling for his Conservative opponent to be turned over to the Chinese Consulate General for a bounty. It's pretty clear what country Paul Chiang is loyal to, and it's not Canada. https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/federal_election/liberal-paul-chiang-apologizes-hong-kong-bounty He hasn't resigned nor has he been kicked out yet.
