The Canadian mainstream media isn't pretty left leaning? Okaaaay. Trudeau is not entirely to blame for inflation. But printing more money, drastically piling up more debt, doesn't help to drive down inflation. Mass immigration didn't help things. Way more people chasing too few homes and apartments helped to really drive up the cost of housing. 'Carney isn't Trudeau' No, just his trusted advisor to that should count for something.

The pendulum has swung to the right. Eventually, it will swing back to the left. Maybe in another four years, perhaps longer. A majority of states and citizens were not happy with another four years of Biden type policies as Harris indicated she didn't plan to do anything different if she won. I would argue that the radical policies were those of Biden and Harris. Prior to Trump winning again, Democrats were in control for 12 of the last 16 years.

Yes, Trudeau is stale. But it's not just that alone. There are well founded reasons for his unpopularity. Affordability may be the biggest one. It's air question to ask, how are Canadians better off today because of Trudeau? 'Carney is fresh' Maybe to you he is, but he was also advising Trudeau for around 4-5 years so this political outsider thing doesn't fly. That 'fresh' line is what helped get Mr. Sunny Ways elected in the first place. Carney does have one big advantage over PP. The mainstream media will be firmly in his corner.

I vote for the party that I feel would be best for the country as a whole. I have voted Liberal in the Free Trade election because I had big concerns about it. Eventually, the Liberals came to embrace that free trade deal. The Liberals have sometimes adopted Conservative policies. It was Mulroney that started really upping immigration levels(bad policy), Liberals embraced it. They stole wage and price controls in the PET era(bad policy). I'll never vote Green or NDP because I've already experienced Bob Rae and that soured me on them forever. Greens are nut jobs. I held my nose and voted for Ford only because the other two parties are even worse. With politics, it usually boils down to voting for the best of the worst.

Mark Carney's cllimate change fanaticism laid bare.

I can say with a large degree of certainty that my carbon footprint is much smaller than that of most Liberal or NDP MP's. It's smaller than the vast majority of celebrities that are always going on about climate change. I bet it's smaller than David Suzuki's carbon footprint. Mark Carney likely has a massive carbon footprint with his lifestyle. And now it's going to get even worse. He's not going to travel on the cheap like a Javier Milei. -
Countries that currently have operational F-35's: UK, Italy, Netherlands, Australia, Norway, Israel, Japan, South Korea.(And of course the US) Countries awaiting delivery: Denmark, Singapore, Belgium, Poland. I'm no expert in aviation, but it is likely that every new generation of fighter aircraft has loads of software that would be under the control to some degree from the country of origin.

You're being vague. How much of a decline would you like to see? What modern conveniences would you like to have taken away? -

I'll probably regret asking this, but what non-capitalist country should we be emulating? Will we be living in huts? I assume travel will be a thing of the past, no planes or cars. -

As usual, the West has to carry the burden. The Liberals are really pushing EV's which are still rather pricey...but last October they slap 100% tariffs on much more affordable Chinese EV's and steel and aluminum. Mixed signals? -

I'm sure Carney will emulate Trudeau and be flying all over the world with a huge entourage to spread the word. -
Here is a better speech

Carney will not do that. He will however, continue with the same climate change zealotry as it was under Trudeau. Canadian emissions bad, Western emissions bad, Chinese emissions perfectly fine. -
Speaking of bribes... Hunter Biden says his art sales plunged since dad left White House, bemoans LA wildfires — as he claims he’s broke in bombshell legal filing Hunter Biden says he’s just a starving artist now that his dad’s not in the White House anymore. The former first son claimed he’s millions of dollars in debt, nobody’s buying his art and he lost his house to the Los Angeles wildfires in a bombshell legal filing in which he asked a a federal judge to drop the laptop hacking lawsuit he slapped on a former Trump White House aide. The embattled former first son, 55, said he has managed to sell just one piece of art — his catalogue is mostly colorful abstract paintings that have been compared to “hotel art” — since December 2023. He raked in nearly $1.5 million during dad Joe Biden’s campaign and the early years of his administration. “In the 2 to 3 years prior to December 2023, I sold 27 pieces for art at an average price of $54,481.48, but since then I have only sold 1 piece of art for $36,000,” Hunter Biden’s attorneys said as they laid bare his apparent financial woes. https://thefederalist.com/2025/03/07/if-the-biden-family-business-was-built-on-anything-but-access-it-would-be-thriving/ Perhaps it's just a downturn in the art market right now?😉 Based on his latest court filings, it’s clear that Hunter’s ability to rake in the big bucks without the “big guy” has vanished. With his father no longer wielding the levers of power in Washington, major money shakers, both foreign and domestic, no longer see any reason to invest in the former First Son’s escapades.

There was another country that put on a 100% tariff on Chinese EV's in order to protect their own auto industry. https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/china-electric-vehicles-tariff-trade-canada-1.7338087 The 100 per cent tariff on imports of Chinese-made EVs (and some hybrids), including cars, buses, trucks and delivery vehicles, takes effect on Tuesday after a 30-day consultation period over the summer. A 25 per cent surtax on steel and aluminum imports from China will kick in on Oct. 15. While the move is meant to keep cheap, well-made electric cars from China at bay in order to grow and protect Canada's nascent EV sector, critics warn there could be a number of consequences, including to environmental goals and other Canadian sectors as a trade war looms. So the Canadian government clearly felt they were justified in applying this hefty tariff.

https://www.npr.org/2024/07/08/nx-s1-5033234/columbia-deans-texts-antisemitic-jewish-students-protests Three deans at Columbia University have lost their jobs over what the university is calling disturbing texts that “touched on ancient antisemitic tropes.” Columbia says the three individuals are on indefinite leave, and will not return to their prior positions. The three were texting each other during a panel discussion on Jewish life on campus last May, mocking and disparaging students’ complaints of antisemitism. The texts were recently released by a congressional committee investigating antisemitism at Columbia, and were first reported by The Washington Free Beacon, a conservative website. Susan Chang-Kim, formerly the vice dean and chief administrative officer of the undergraduate school Columbia College, was dismissive of the students’ complaints, texting that it “comes from such a place of privilege… hard to hear the woe is me.” Cristen Kromm, formerly the dean of undergraduate student life, texted vomiting emojis and wrote, “Amazing what $$$$ can do.” Matthew Patashnick, formerly the associate dean for student and family support, suggested Jews on campus were just trying “to take full advantage of this moment. Huge fundraising potential.” The above was from NPR so will a certain someone respond with NPR LIES?
