And how do you feel about Xi of China? Progressives never seem to have much to say about him. Sometimes a progressive will openly say China happens to be the country he admires most. Do you consider Trump more of a threat than Xi?

You make it sound like Mark Carney is already the de facto leader of the free world.

Liberal Party Takes Lead in Polls

Let me clarify. The feds take the money from Alberta, then hand a huge chunk of it to Quebec. Are you trying to say that Quebec does not get massive equalization payments? -

Why does Alberta have to fork over billions to Quebec in the first place? Quebec has more people, they are also rich in natural resources, and they are not landlocked. -

We can look at the same person and come to radically different conclusions. IMO, Ford is a buffoon that can't control his mouth and I'm not talking about the buffet. His threats to cut off power to Americans in winter were disgusting. He won the last election primarily because the other main parties had pathetic records while in office. Ford was merely the best of a bad lot. -

No wonder Albertan's feel the way they do. Alberta is irrelevant except when they have to fork over all those billions for equalization payments right? -

Carney was a bit heavy handed with GFANZ (Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero) in his tactics in the investment world. Forcing other financial managers to play by his rules or face the consequences. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/mark-carneys-gfanz-targeted-bombshell-070000655.html?guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly9kdWNrZHVja2dvLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAADVe6BuJfguhGnglIV8_YqlpQPvBuIvr1vOIpPmnXNzBpnDyjtpdoHvha7-wXh30ja2jrVCTuprVJhuBb6w9FmtVWt0DFtYUYid-1uCfj_YYXrm5BiAP6q4G8FoWXnsav5ivl5eg3cLJIRawrAIE1ztpP6z6sBlpRGZHUi0pkpTY&_guc_consent_skip=1743115010 The report claims that the "climate cartel imposes these radical policies by weaponizing ever-escalating pressure tactics…" on corporations. One of the tactics is forcing companies to make "immaterial disclosure of carbon emissions," a tactic being pushed in the US and Canada. Net-zero or bust if Carney wins. -

I have heard that this particular photo is most likely fake and it should be taken with a huge grain of salt. However, there are some other photos of Carney looking pretty friendly with Ghislaine Maxwell that seem to be genuine. I personally wouldn't put too much into those photos either since it's not uncommon for wealthy elitist big shots to hang out together. There are other things in Carney's history that should be more concerning to Canadians. Like his history of embellishment, his less than stellar record at the BOE, GFANZ and cartel-like methods, his obsession with net-zero for the West but not for China, his ties to China... -
Citizen of Canada or Enlarged U.S.?

For anyone that thinks it would be ok to be a US citizen including Canada, what would it be like if Kamala Harris had won? -
The Liberal party is a big tent party and everyone is welcome....except people that are even remotely conservative lol. It was a meteoric rise for Stephen Guilbeault, an eco terrorist to Environment Minister. I guess he learned that it was easier to join a willing host to push his agenda on the population rather than engaging in 'disruptive' activities. I would wager that he still supports certain methods like destroying Tesla's as a means to destroy one particular individual.

It seems that a lack of French for Ruby Dhalla and Chandra Arya was a rather big deal for the Liberals. But with Mark Carney? Nothing to see here folks! How will the other candidates react? Will they all gang up on Poilievre and ignore the no-show Liberal Prime Minister? The sitting Prime Minister, refusing to do a televised French debate.

Certainly part of the reason they started the movement was for personal enrichment. They promote falsehoods like police specifically target blacks. They totally ignore deaths from black on black crime. -

But the BLM leaders are Marxist. What do they stand for? It's safe to assume they stand for...Marxism. But like most Marxist leaders, they have also become fabulously wealthy along the way. -

Many progressives think blacks aren't capable of getting their own ID or that they aren't up to speed on the use of computers. While discussing the need to bring AI technology jobs to Black and brown communities at the Milken Institute Global Conference on Monday, Hochul said, “Right now, we have young Black kids growing up in the Bronx who don’t even know what the word ‘computer’ is.” https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/ny-gov-hochul-slammed-after-saying-black-kids-don-t-know-what-computer-means/ar-BB1m1Nbv White liberals are pretty racist. -

I think there are an awful lot of people on the left that share her views. -
The federal government will spend $46.5 billion on debt servicing charges in 2023/24, which is nearly what the government expects to spend on the Canada Health Transfer ($49.4 billion), and significantly more than it expects to spend on child care benefits ($31.2 billion). It's only money right? Let's just keep on borrowing more and just pass it on to the next generation. https://www.fraserinstitute.org/sites/default/files/federal-and-provincial-debt-interest-costs-for-canadians-2024.pdf

A big population is no guarantee of more prosperity. The Liberals have a mass immigration policy now and our per capita GDP has fallen. Carney likely agrees with Trudeau about us having no core identity so he'll continue to bring in people that don't share our values. 100 million people AND net-zero? Yeah right.

Canada may be screwed since it seems that a lot of people are suddenly perfectly happy with the very mediocre current government. A Liberal win will be great for the US. The following was from the Epoch Times. A Fifth of Canadian Companies Eye Relocation to the US Amid Tariff Concerns: Poll Some Canadian companies are considering a move to the United States as a strategy to evade tariffs and protect the future of their businesses, a new survey suggests. Nineteen percent of the 283 Canadian companies that participated in the survey indicated they would consider relocating part or all of their production to the United States to safeguard the sustainability of their operations, the survey from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Canada found. Many of the businesses considering a move south of the border were from the industrial and automotive industries. “While a lower percentage—19 percent—are looking at moving production to the United States, this is still a fairly significant number that does raise concerns for the Canadian economy,” the report said. “It’s also notable that the percentage considering this action rises to 37 percent among respondents in the industrial manufacturing and automotive industries.”
