Well it IS obvious but the question of compromise is something that everyone should consider, not just the "left" - which is a term I dispute. A bit of a quibble here, but I do think the president has more influence over gas prices than groceries.. I don't think common sense policies have much to do with it, but clandestine political deals with Saudi Qatar and so on do.
