.......... sincerely hope this works out - u break it, u own it. Regime change hasn't been much of a success story the past 30 years.

- it was available, as an option - relatively young, he was going to beat it - hope was his option. coercion is having the option available and it being subtly promoted ............. or feeling self guilt having not taken advantage of it for the sake of the family. My grandfather died of cancer in Palliative care some time ago ............ at least once a day he'd confess that he felt he was a burden to the family.

haha - bet they're grateful for being off the hook tho As far as Israel went, 'don't look a gift camel in the mouth' - they ended up with a country - twice as much as they bargained for. Think how much farther ahead today the so-called Palestinians would have been if they'd have settled on the U.N. partition. Likely have ended up with flush toilets by now or more likely have been annexed by one of their Arab allies and of course still fighting for Israel's portion. Stupid is as stupid does. behold progress ........... I applaud Israel.

Economic instability is the greatest concern for women of child bearing age ......... women want to work - the days of them being chattel, barefoot and pregnant is looooong gone. Women today are well educated, independent, ambitious and political. A huge concern for young mothers is childcare costs and availability............ notice I didn't say fathers? To stimulate a baby-boom, addressing these concerns makes more sense than spending money on immigration and there is no cultural clash. Oh, forgot .............. that sounds xenophobic not to mention racist and discriminatory. Charity begins at home (?) .............. let it be so?

MAJOR Snub: CANADA EXCLUDED FROM UKRAINE SUMMIT

Struggle for survival? Being the second male monkey on the ramp of Noah's ark and baby, it's started to rain. Switzerland was likely akin.

I'm not defending MAID. However .........being at home, unconscious- catheter and shitting ur diaper while wasting away to the point of resembling a holocaust survivor is not my idea of a dignified exit. It is a personal decision ................ but is the decision increasingly being made without coercion (?) ............

Those that have accumulated great wealth arrive at the realization that they can't take it with them - they enjoy the trappings of wealth and the power it conveys but unfortunately, we all peg out - forgotten - they get it. At some point this realization motivates towards personal legacy - perhaps just a note in history but at least a mention - or perhaps something even greater - more than a rock in a cemetery. This phenom does not manifest itself in youth - far from it, generally youth are busy tilting at windmills - attempting to change the world? Pi$$ing into the wind - self righteous - arrogant (hi, Justin) I believe that Trump is at this point in his life ........ Carney (?) Carney is definitely not 'in it' for the cash ............. power, empathy for those living in dumpsters .... ah, no What's left.

Should the US enter wartime mobilization?
John Stone replied to paxamericana's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Sub launched ICBM is almost impossible to intercept ......... the platforms to launch these weapons are of course covert. The weapon itself would be multiple independent reentry vehicle designs. This type of weapon would devastate the United States or any other country. Extreme range - up to 6K miles - megaton yield - city killer. The good news is that the US. would detect the launch ..... giving credence to the counterstrike. (MAD) The ideal location for covert ICBM launch would from under the Arctic ice cap. The way to avoid any war (conventional or other) is thru deterrence - possess a rapidly deployable, standing force, well equipped and trained that makes war not worth the squeeze. If hostilities do occur a well equipped conventional force will buy time ........ escalation will occur but there will be time for negotiation. The most dangerous enemy today is likely a nation possessing a poorly trained conventional military but is in possession of nukes and the means to deliver them - fourth protocol notwithstanding. Concern should be focused on the somewhat defunct, Abraham Accords. Recent revisions seemed to have been made to allow SA the ability to enrich uranium and export the product. Personally I think relying on something like the Golden Dome for defense against these weapons is poor strategy - the detection technology will likely be overtaken quite rapidly. Real defense is from orbit - weapons in space - geo sync. -
Should the US enter wartime mobilization?
John Stone replied to paxamericana's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
............... there will be a period of escalation ........... saber rattling and the increased use of conventional weapons - breathing space (time). Tac-nucs means we're staring into the abyss ...... finger on the trigger, baby. The escalation to strategic (fusion) weapons will be sudden and massive.......... shoot the bolt. The concept of mobilization is really old school.............. def the idea of total war. Akin to the parachute analogy - if you need it (chute) and you don't have it, you'll never need it? In naval exercises ...... generally the strategy is to empty the magazine with the understanding being there won't be a port capable of rearming your hull and you yourself are a shining target.......... coherent phased array be damned. Rumor is the Cdn Army is being reequipped with new colt Assault rifles - deterrence is the strategy. Oh, Canada! -
.............. got to wonder if, deep down, the so-called Palestinians regret not taking the 1947 U.N. partition idea. Today, the rhetoric revolves around a (2) state solution - kind of gone full circle? The other thing, on reflection and communication being so advanced is, do the so-called Palestinians feel they've been punked by their supposed Arab (and other) allies? The partition was a U.N. solution, post Brit mandate.........

Is the CBC a Legitimate News Channel
John Stone replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation aka CBC, was established (1936) in Canada to promote a distinct Canadian culture and identity, particularly in remote areas where privately operated radio/television broadcast stations wouldn't be economically viable. Today, technology has advanced to the point where the need for a government funded broadcasting corporation is being questioned - it ain't cheap. So, the question really is, is the CBC providing a necessary service, at huge expense, for the citizens of Canada? -
............ the many flavors of global 'elite' determine the course of the globe.............. knowing which lever to pull, being familiar and gaining access is an advantage.

................. democracy is fickle and elections have consequences ............. likely a good epitaph for a Democracy. FWIW, more productive to rant at the Left (?)............. might force them to get out of the gender bathrooms ............ for a start .......... become competitive? It would be difficult to quantify the degree of their failure in '24 general ......... the Right 'took the anchors'.
