  1. Rwandan genocide is a good example of African tribal genocide.
  2. ............ far more to do with geo-economics .......................... which by extension translates to global leverage - hegemony.
  3. Indeed. We're ALL interlopers if you go back far enough......................
  4. ........... arguably if Pierre hadn't repatriated the Constitution in 1982 the U.S. would be discussing Canada's future with Great Britain.
  5. I'd argue Africa is more tribal discrimination than racial discrimination, lol
  6. yeah, all political hacks pi$$ down ur back and tell u it's raining.
  7. Arguably with Greenland being p/o North America / Western Hemisphere, the Monroe Doctrine can be referenced quite easily. to wit........... The Monroe Doctrine is a U.S. foreign policy that opposes any foreign interference in the Western Hemisphere. Trump, although terrible at explanation, is correct in stating that Greenland is strategic and likely soon Russia will be testing the northern defense. No question China has designs on an arctic 'silk road'. Denmark is likely playing a weak hand regarding Greenland becoming a country - that is the purview of Greenland's Parliament. ........... a few speedbumps to accomplish this but the 57K (ha ha) population have shown they desire sovereignty? A country of 57K? Politically, it is a wedge issue ............. to be exploited. Denmark's control over Greenland could easily be interpreted as Colonialism. National instability is the squib to political change .....destabilize Greenland - leading to a referendum on 'separation' and go from there ......... used to be CIA 101
  8. I just have a difficult time imagining people in the streets applauding U.S. bombing of their country? And then of course there is the Regional concern. What is the upside - democracy? bwabwabwabwa.
  9. Who would deny that this is unprecedented? Trump's administration is fueled with the unprecedented. ............. likely suck to be on a fixed income tho.
  10. Proxy war, post WWII demonstrated a degree of finesse - deniability. Soft power? Agree, Trump demonstrates none of that.... 1815 as you know resulted in significant changes to Europe.
  11. "No man ever went broke overestimating the ignorance of the American public" / P.T. Barnum I listen to Tucker - enjoy his show - for me it's entertainment........ The guy is a genius in terms of communication.
  12. Iran's strategy is likely to provoke Trump into bombing ......might(?) (likely) unite the Nation........... against the 'great Satan'. The regime is going to take the gloves off over there - negotiation didn't work too well.......... Plan B on deck. Laughable to think the spin is the population has fond memories of the Shah. .................85? Tik - tok. Then the fun starts.
  13. ............. some would argue Margaret had more of an influence than dad. Totally agree that Justin would have failed miserably if he didn't have his dad's coattails to ride on, that and the facade match with Brazeau .......... suppose the poor quality of opposition should also get a nod.
  14. ............. just be grateful she's running for an encore in the House, not the Senate.
  15. There is a parallel between Ashli Babbitt and Renee Goode in that both their bluffs were called and they paid for it. Both of those shootings were huge political fodder for the hacks - and they did, and WILL, exploit the recent without mercy - it's all politics - win/lose? 'Don't tread on me' in this most recent is that the Left is implying (???) that if ICE wasn't present, doing absolutely no good what so ever, then Goode wouldn't have been killed - demanding ICE vacate the city tout suite and the tooter the better? "Don't tread on me" - to paraphrase, 'get the fk out'!
  16. Doubt there'll be enough virgins to service the martyrs that will result from this. Daresay it's coming.
  17. Based on what I saw the agent can be seen holding up a phone in his left hand as he walked around the front of Good's SUV in the moments before the shooting? Putting training, right or wrong aside for a moment - No-one in their right mind stands in front of a running vehicle with the intention of preventing it moving off the spot - unless the shooter had pre-planned his reaction, judged the shoot, weighed the odds. Unprofessional in the extreme. All this is speculation of course - but he is so far away from SOP that anyone with any degree of training can't fail to critique the shooters actions. Def NOT to be used in any training flic. Lack of discipline is also demonstrated in the manner he revealed his features while walking away.
  18. Political Right hope that the Left runs on a platform of impeaching the President. It would make a mockery of their, 'affordability' concern priority? yada, yada, yada, yada Trump is the type of guy that fits the description, 'u can't shame a person that won't be shamed'. Impeachment - meh! Who cares ....... but it would just be more useful distraction - diversion from meaningful legislation.
  19. I look at it not from the perspective of right or wrong but winning strategy, winning the midterms - the political optics? In politics I think you need hacks that can be convincing with spin - not sure the Right has that now - esp on this issue. A 24/7 news cycle is a huge advantage when a pivot is demanded - Trump is an absolute master at this. Curious to see what legs this has - seems to be going National. I do believe the shooter had poor discipline - a political disaster.
  20. The current political landscape in the U.S. reflects a complex and destructive interplay of ideological and affective polarization which contributes to the feeling of being trodden on by those political hacks in power. It is a sentiment (?) that can be stoked and used effectively politically - it works. It worked for the Right political hacks and now it's working for the Left political hacks. Contributing to the sentiment amongst the Left now, is the judicious use of Executive Power (E.O.)....... arguably and considering the paralysis of Congress they're likely a godsend to getting anything done - and the President is perfectly in his right to implement this end-run around those useless debating fools.
  21. .......... supposedly Trudeau initially was trending towards 500k immigrants a year. Take a breath and just speculate on how that number would affect the status quo of a country with a population of what, 35 million. How in the name of all that's holy could that number ever be absorbed? Whatever National feelings based on history the country might have had would likely evaporate. They say that Canada's best culture is found in it's yogurt - how much more true would that be with those immigration projections? Was that guy (Trudeau) completely bonkers, incompetent or immature? All three?
  22. RE: actually listening to their instructions. Q: How do you get Canadians to clear a pool? A: Ask them politely - 'will you please get out of the pool" baaaa, baaaa, baaaa. 'Don't Tread on Me" has special significance in the U.S. That attitude is likely what fueled the wanna be Republic in the War of Independence.
  23. .............. fk'n odd that this is now the Left's banner.
  24. Those that study these things would agree that Western democracy is on the decline. A lot of this decline can be attributed to social media (state sponsored) and it's deluge of rhetoric (domestically driven) Those democracies that still exist, exist and govern (??) under a cloud of suspicion. Once sacred institutions are now questioned severely - there is an increasing lack of respect to say the least - probably justified. One wag is quoted as saying that Democracy has a tendency to commit suicide - it votes itself out of existence? The United States today is the most powerful (Constitutional) democracy in the World, measured by any metric. However, the U.S. and a host of other countries Achilles heel is their system of government - whether the white cat or the black is in control. Time works for those that have a wish to make democratic countries, irrelevant as a geo-political player. There is no heaven per se, heaven is here on earth - we're just fk'n it up and will continue to do so. Increasingly, the United States, is a misnomer.
  25. ................. if this guy can't avoid being baited he should put his hands in the air and back away from the mic.
