........ the objective x 3.000,000 pages The volume is not the delay ........ the delay is the strategy. . Imagine dumping 3,000,000 electronic copies that look like the reference all at once? ah, NO! I would agree that the 'delay' is political fodder for the black and white cats and honestly, they're grateful. Hacks, brother.

......... China's method of crowd control. An autocratic abyss would have been in Mao's era. China today is an international player - their economic strategy in the form of 'silk roads' extends decades into the future. Doubtful any Western Nation with a population (and history) akin to China could have done so much and gone so far in the tenure that they have been a country and not a conglomeration of district warlords, invaders and imperialism. Fk'n miracle. China is stable - I attribute that to their political ideology - and I don't applaud it. In comparison look at North Korea.

CBC edits out embarrassing Carney footage
John Stone replied to CdnFox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
...............these days the stench of rhetoric is more closely focused on the internet. -
A pauper doesn't 'demand'? To use a phrase, 'Canada had no cards'? China took the opportunity to poke the U.S. in the eye .... I'd remind you that China doesn't 'elect' - there is no public pressure to do anything. China's 'win' was political, not economic. I'm sure you'd agree that Justin could never have negotiated like Carney - but then he was such a fool he wouldn't have wanted to.
-
Why?? The PM is the sharp end of party policy? There has been some changes since Justin had the door hit him on the a$$ Not to mention the fact that China could have been ..................... ungracious ........ but the chance to poke the U.S. in the eye was likely too great. ........ advantage; China.

I understand Canada manufactures vehicles - very cheap E.V. imports will likely cut into the market.

Lol I think you are putting lipstick on a pig re: China. Any domestic comfort they enjoy has been on the backs of Western investment / technology / science Those with only a modicum of knowledge re: China's history would agree, that China has been akin to the rise of a Phoenix. I would rather have a stable albeit Communist country feeding 1.5 billion people than an unstable, nuc power with 1.5 billion starving people. Nixon and Kissinger deserve much credit (Pyrrhic?) - that said the alternative of locking China out of global economics would have without a doubt led to war.

How Hitler Destroyed Democracy in 53 Days

.............just 35 million people, 10 provinces, gained sovereignty in 1982, second largest country in terms of geography? Existence depends on the price of Canola, soy beans. -
Carney China Deals -Liberals Losing Votes In Quebec

How ironic that China appears to be Kanada's saviour. -
............ all these folks are within the law claiming asylum The backlog of asylum cases awaiting a hearing is over 2000000. This backlog to receive mentioned 'hearings' to determine legitimacy has led to delays of over 6 years. Are those claiming asylum breaking any law? No Is there a National feeling of being punked? YES! Who is to blame? Political hacks. Justin Trudeau, although criticizing the U.S. for denying immigration was very quick to implement the so-called, 'safe- third-country-agreement'. The Quebec immigration crossing ( Roxham Road) in Quebec was closed, March 2023, by the Federal Government citing the STCA - in response to Quebec political pressure.

How Hitler Destroyed Democracy in 53 Days

Democracy, with the support of the Catholic Central Party, allowed the Nazi to pass the 'Enabling Act' - which outlawed all other political parties. -
............ representation of the volume of rhetoric the electorate is exposed to. How ironic that volume vs political savvy is an inverse relationship Is the internet a threat to democracy? Quite likely and with A.I. taking center stage shortly .......... even more of a threat. The pundits say that the U.S. is in decline - but I'd wager it will be eaten last.
-
Isn't Alberta an ally now ....... the entire Western p/o the country? Seal Team six waking up the PM in the dead of night has proven to be successful.

The concern in the Middle East is not a regime killing their citizens - that is a red herring. The concern in the Middle East is a regime vaporizing other countries citizens. Nuclear proliferation is a spectre hanging over the region and beyond like the sword of Damocles. Contrary to popular rhetoric - Iran's nuclear program has not been deterred - deferred maybe. A nod to the precision demonstrated by the the U.S. but that attack would have been disastrous without the IDF not taking out the anti-air before the attack.

Blockade the St. Lawrence?

Unless Kanada knows it can bear the unbearable it will continue to run scared. Imagine there will be some blowback to the E.V. tariff settlement from the U.S. Oblique threat to their automotive industry - a direct threat to Canada's.
