Dem Hate Speech...
impartialobserver replied to WestCanMan's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
the stock market is not the best metric to use for economic performance. Real GDP per capita, PPE, and real personal income tell a broader story than the stock market. A relatively small percentage of the population invests in the stock market or is directly affected by daily changes in the stock market. Everybody is affected by PPE and real personal income. -
Dem Hate Speech...

Welcome to the real world... where negativity gets you attention and votes more than policy changes, solid ideas, and such. -
First, in all wars terrible things happen. This one is not unique. Second, we are all watching this from the sidelines. No one on this forum is on the frontlines and has "boots-on-the-ground" information. Therefore.. all your information is second hand and demands that you believe it. Third.. this will not be the last time that we see this. Months or years down the road, they will be back at it. Lather, rinse, repeat.

In daily life, I do not care in the least. In sports, that changes. Biological males with years of testosterone exposure have a distinct advantage in terms of upper body strength and speed. In a contact sport like boxing.. this equates to a sizeable advantage for which training, diet, and know-how can't overcome.

the "content" that I was referring to was the opinions of the various posters. If I want news.. this is not where I go. Before you blast away.. I do not watch cable news of any kind at any time. I thought that it was just them promising too much and not delivering. Sadly, it goes beyond that. I work with them directly at times and it is always amazing how different they are in person versus in front of the camera.

Fastest growing states
impartialobserver replied to impartialobserver's topic in State Politics in the United States
its not quite that cut and dry. Typically those who move from CA, OR, and WA are the middle aged AND middle income. There reason (at least according to survey data) is high cost of living not politics. They could handle the liberal politics if the cost of housing, vehicle registration, and owning a small business were less. -
why do you need a safe space? I am the same person in real life that I am online. I could get outed and have nothing to hide. I use the ignore feature because I know that some on here have nothing to say. Its like trying a food, finding it to be nasty, bitter, etc. and deciding to not try it again. To keep consuming it and getting nothing out of it.. that sounds like a "you" problem

If you truly study the policies of some of the most heinous dictators in Europe recently; Ceaucescu (Romania), Hoxha (Albania), Zhivkov (Bulgaria), Franco (Spain) and Tito (Yugoslavia), you will notice that they were more power hungry than communist. They ruled with an iron fist and did not truly care about the lower income types.. hence the lack of true income redistribution. Yes, they were part of the "Communist party" in their respective nations but they did not follow the Marx handbook even a little bit

This comes with the assumption that everything that you say is golden and untouchable. I do not have such narcissism. My posts are not always the sole source of information out there. Ignore just lets you skip to the meaningful content. Not all content is good. When I go to a bookstore.. quite a few books are not looked at.

words are subjective. The same set of words can be read by 10 different people and you can get 10 different interpretations of what they read.
