I guess if you like Hells Kitchen then fine. I do not particularly care of the show nor political drama. So the 19th repetition of the same lame show... not going to hold my interest. I loathe the last two months of the election cycle. In a fantasy world, every time someone attempted to call me for political purposes.. they would get electrocuted for 5 seconds. Pamphlets at the door or in the mailbox would earn you two lashes. Again, its fantasy but I think that you get the point.

The Little Mermaid from Disney suddenly black.

What I miss is how folks are forced to watch the film? If you do not like it.. do not watch it. Seems ever so simple but apparently my expectations are too high. -

Like a typical blowhard internet forum poster.. you have no objective data and therefore no metrics to back up your assertions. In SF.. the high cost of living is due to relatively low supply of available land. The terrain is very mountainous and therefore difficult to build upon. Florida has zero mountains. Second, it is surrounded by ocean on 3 sides. Hmm.. but one can build houses out in the ocean.. right? Finally, the high cost of living is highly influenced by the relatively high incomes. Like it or not.. the high tech industry (of which you use) pays very well and is largely based in SF and San Jose. That is a simple statement of fact.. like it or not. -
I fully believe that humans (or most of us) need a cause to support or rail against. We have to have some grand struggle and therefore someone to hate/despise. We can't simply live our lives and make the best of it.. Nahh. In our comfortable existence, we have to manufacture villains such as Dave Chappelle.

Toronto named best place to live.

If you want to refute what I wrote.. then list some cities with populations greater than 100K that you would not deem as a $hithole. Only place that I would deem as a $hithole is Bakersfield, CA. Have only been there once (2009) and it was simply decrepit. Not necessarily dirty or ghetto. Just looked like a ghost town where no one had bothered to maintain a building in 20 years. Every road/sidewalk was in disrepair. -
So If I was to make up some stuff now.. you would waste your time correcting me even though you would know that I am just manipulating you? And being toyed with makes you feel righteous. you also know that behind a keyboard.. no one actually has to be honest. You could prove that that 4^4 = 16 and they would defy you.. just because they can.

Well, from reading the responses to your opponents.. it seems like you have made zero headway. Hours spent posting and no payoff of any kind. Your impassioned posts are not changing their views even the slightest. "The relatively small percentage who post here unaffected by what they read, tend to be those who are HARD SELLING their own POV. AKA, they're the ones who ignore everything other than the OPINIONS they post." And you do not think that most politicos (politicians and their supporters) do not fit this? If so, you are hilarious and need to quit your day job.

Prior experience... Evidence is not enough. Folks will believe what they want to. This forum is proof of that. Your crusade falls on deaf ears. Day after day, you respond to them and yet nothing changes. Hmm... but you did not ignore the lies and presented the "truth" and yet they continue. Seems like you are getting no bang for your buck.

Is Hate Speech Free Speech?

were you meaning to say, "are a political weapon" if so, you do not understand the divide between criminal and civil law. -
Is Hate Speech Free Speech?
impartialobserver replied to Rebound's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
You are free to produce hate speech and not fear of being arrested or being prosecuted in a criminal court. Now, that does not preclude one from civil lawsuits. If you think that hate speech is prosecuted then listen to a lot of gangster rap or black/death metal.. they say some pretty dark, vile, and hateful things. -
Is Hate Speech Free Speech?

Hate speech is still speech. The law protects you from being arrested/detained/etc for such speech. Now, are you free from the consequences of such speech? No and nor should a person be. -
35,000 in net emigration over 5 years.. is not all that major. This is what happens when a place has a high cost of living... some folks get discouraged at the disparity between incomes and what they get in housing. SF, LA, and Portland are prime examples. And then they move to Boise, Bend, Reno, Spokane, Salt Lake City, Bozeman, or Ogden, UT... and guess what? Prices go up in those places
-
true.. they do argue in bad faith by using vague terminology that can't possibly be quantified. One instance of something must mean that it is occurring everywhere at every moment. That is a logical fallacy to say the least but on the internet.. there is no consequence for being nothing but a blowhard.

Fastest growing states
impartialobserver replied to impartialobserver's topic in State Politics in the United States
You have coast line in Florida but do you have mountain just opposite of this? No. the highest point in FL is only 345 feet. In SF, you can be above 345 in minutes. This shows that you have never been there, know nothing, but yet pretend to be an expert. Can you give data to back up this claim of "best economy in the country".. No articles.. only actual raw data such as a table or chart with no opinions or summarizing.
