I can see Trump winning all of those states except Nevada. It will be fairly close but Clark County (Las Vegas) is heavily Liberal and it accounts for 75% of the state's population and 79% of its voters. The mostly rural 14 counties (17 minus Clark, Washoe (Reno), and Carson City) are insignificant when it comes to this.

So, in short.. I am correct. Well, not exactly surprising. When you work in government and have the unfortunate task of occasionally dealing with the public.. we occasionally get folks like you. You know who is worse though? the politicians. The same guys that you (and others) hold in such high esteem. They are amazingly inept at this stuff either but they love to dictate the rules.

Battle over Water Rights
impartialobserver replied to impartialobserver's topic in State Politics in the United States
precisely. the big takeaway should be that they were negotiated before most of the SW's population growth occurred. The agriculture that currently draws from the Colorado was in its infancy. The only sustainable outcome is that less CO river water is allocated to Southern Cal and Western AZ. This will mean a loss of population and/or a loss of non-seasonal fresh fruits going to American consumers in January and February. For those who say, "Well then TX and FL can take up the slack".. simply do not know the nature of certain fruits. -
Back to the topic, It is probably not all that relevant that Johnson is religious. It will only come up when a bill directly affects freedom of religion. As long as they keep it out of schools, I usually side with freedom of religion. For instance, in my hometown of Boise, we have a 10 commandments statue/exhibit near the main public library. I have no problem with it and would vote to have it stay there. Also, to the Northeast of town on a plateau named Table Rock, we have a large cross. There was a ballot initiative to have it removed. Guess what? I voted to have it remain there. Also, I was part of the march to have it remain untouched. Why? It does not affect one's daily life at all. It is a decoration upon a hill, if you do not like it then do not look at it.

I have maintained that Trump probably wins this time. All it really takes is close losses in key Midwestern states to turn to close wins. The red states will go with Trump. I do not like Trump but my approval means nothing. I can see the writing on the wall. I can also make the most of my existence regardless of who is in office.

At work today.. I must have met WCM's doppelganger. This joker calls up to scream about how his Unemployment Insurance claim benefits are not as high as he would like. Over the span of 20 minutes.. he gave this elaborate story about how it is due to him being a patriot and anti-vaxxer. I let him have his moment and then I asked why he only worked 6 months out of the last 15.. he spitted and sputtered about how he had this issue and that. I then told him that it is a simple math calculation based on wages earned. It is not subjective and at the behest of some gatekeeper. He could not accept that.. that was not fantastical enough. His low benefit amount is 100% tied back to his low amount of w-2 wages earned. But too much propaganda on his part.. he can't fathom such a cold, hard, unfeeling explanation.

Game, set, match... "It's "a CNN talking point" at best. Get it?"... your default response to everything that you disagree with. If you are so smart.. you would not always revert back to the same tired line. Even a minor leaguer would have more than one pitch.... you have no curveball, slider, changeup... just a fastball down the middle of the plate that any respectable player can hit out of the park. Advice... try something new.

Just because my first example was about a priest does not mean that there are not others. Cherry picking on your part does not preclude the fact that every one of my posts in this meaningless, worthless discussion has included something about how you need to know more about someone than just their religion. Interesting.. how you have yet to refute my claim that you would by default view someone as a good person if all you know you about them is their religion. Therefore.. I must be correct.

I know some Christians who are fine individuals. However, I can decode your game. If someone walked up to you and told you that they were Christian... you automatically (by default) view them as moral, ethical, hard working, etc. and even when they show their flaws.. you look the other way. I have no default and put everyone under the same scrutiny.

and the actions taken by Hitler between 1924 and 1933 (which faithfully follow the motivations written in Mein Kempf) do not align with modern day America.. not even close. But the armchair expert (you) who has not read any of Hitler's books can't be expected to know this. "CNN Talking points"... Game, set, match.... Second time, of your own volition, that you have put that out there. So besides being a p1ss poor analyst.. you would be a terrible lawyer.

The OP is trying to paint this picture where modern America is going to end up in a situation similar to, if not exactly the same, as WWII era Germany. Supposedly, the game plan is the same. Well.. if you read Mein Kempf and Zweites Buch (both written by Hitler), it is clear that the end goal could not be more different than anything the modern American liberal espouses.

No.. you just never know someone from the outside. Apparently, here is the difference between us two. You see the packaging (being religious, owning a truck, etc) and decide to trust them by default. My life experiences have taught me that the packaging does not tell you the full story. Knowing one aspect of someone tells you virtually nothing.

when I read the garden variety, "You are anti-semitic" post, it generally boils down to this. I do not like you so by default, you are anti-semitic or racist. The so-called evidence is spurious at best such as your candidate voted against some sort of funding bill that would have sent money to Israel. So by proxy.. you the Democrat voter hates Jews. That logic does not work on me.. Apparently, it does you.
