  1. No we can't. If we could we would have already. The technology is not ready. The fact that if you test cars are able to function for short periods of time does not mean the technology is sufficiently mature. Maybe someday but we're not there yet
  2. You won the leadership convention. He's about to win a leadership review. It would seem you're wrong. He is the one they want to lead Have let's face it, the left knows it. That's why they spend so much of their time and energy including yourself trying to convince us it isn't true. If it was true you wouldn't need to
  3. Murder is the illegal killing of a human. If it wasn't illegal then it's not murder. It is a killing or a homicide. Trump contends that it's legal and therefore not murder.
  4. Again that's not really accurate. It would be more reasonable to say he's acting like a bully or possibly a slum landlord. Thanks to 10 years of liberal mismanagement he now has us by the short and curlies and he's leveraging that to get what he sees as best for his country. Our guy on the other hand is caving to him at every turn and begging for his scraps, which he's not inclined to give.
  5. The military technology just isn't there yet. A direct confrontation with the US military ends with a Chinese loss if it continues for more than an extremely short time. That's just the way it is. So the Chinese strategy is going to be more along the lines of the political methods you mentioned. If we're talking military they would seek to rush in and immediately overwhelm the forces protecting tiawan and land their forces there (possibly some pre positioned) and take control or near control and then say "hey america, we're already in control and you MIGHT be able to take it back and win, sure, but it'll cost you tens of thousands of your own men and trillions in ships and other costs, and we'll stop shipping you any of the stuff you need and at the end of the day, there's always nukes. Maybe let us have this one and we'll work something out. Or just straight political pressure as you mentioned. The threat of war and loss of American life may be enough to put china in a good bargaining position
  6. Probably. But nothing in this world is definite. That will probably happen but to replace fossil fuels we will need new technology we just don't have yet. But that will probably come too, they're working on it and they're getting closer all the time to Technologies that actually would provide the power we need in a fashion that we can use it affordably and effectively as we currently use fossils. There's no real doubt in my mind that just as we went from wood to coal, and cold oil, and oil to natural gas etc that the day will come when we move from oil to the next evolution which will almost certainly be mostly green We can all hope that it happens sooner rather than later.
  7. It's not welfare either. Lefties misuse THAT word whenever it comes to business. Nor is a tariff, you're just being weird now. Honestly by your age you'd THINK youd' have figured out how english works.
  8. Poilievre certainly as you guys petrified
  9. I accept your admission of defeat They say they're going to vote for Poilievre. Sorry about that but it looks like your leader may not be the best guy after all
  10. I'm sure Jenni Byrne will be very sorry to learn you won't be calling her And yes farmers make money on growing food, but that comes from people who buy and eat food. What's your point? The whole idea of producing something is that people who need it will buy it. Like... that's how the entire system works and it works well. People produce something, other people who need it buy it, and the gov't collects taxes on the income. So what's your point? There are no subsidies. People misuse the word. And as for the rest, yes, again that's true of literally every product out there. Including food. But without food people die. Without oil and the electricity and heat and transport it provides, people die. So it's a price people are prepared to pay. There is no difference between that and anything else. No, we can't. We do not have the technology yet to replace oil. We have enough technology to reduce our dependence on it, to minimize its use, but we absolutely do not have the ability at this time to replace oil as our energy source Someday, maybe. There's a lot of people working on solutions. But right now, no.
  11. This fro the guy who's small and petty enough to call someone 'donnie diaperman" LOLOLOL I don't think you cared about the app. He saw the ad and it didn't freak out initially. I think he's been getting a lot of pushback and commentary from his supporters and his staff with regards to the ad and he's pissed that people's reaction is not favorable to him at all.
  12. The discussions would get sillier but the entertainment value would go through the roof
  13. There's a hell of a lot of them kicking around for a group that was wiped out
  14. LOLOL " I don't make it about politics, you conservative you" Well done Dude everything with you is either political or nonsensical. And it's telling that you couldn't even talk about how non-political you are without making it political That's a special kind of stupid
  15. No it's not impossible. That's a dumb thing to say Money is made from oil in the same way that money is made from food, or selling clothing, or providing services. Specifically as far as the government's concerned money is made from oil by taxing the companies and the employees who are paid to run the oil company. This is the same as everything else And the number of people who would die if we didn't have oil would be vastly higher than the number of people who died from climate change. Without electricity, without heat, without the ability to transport goods our population would plummet. Want proof? Go look at the population before we invented all that stuff. About 10% of all of the people who have ever lived in our history are alive today and that's a result of having oil and electricity and transportation Maybe someday we'll find something to replace it but there's no doubt it saves Tens if not hundreds of thousands of lives for every life it costs Stop being a child
  16. Well that's my day made
  17. Ahem. Canadians will not be voting on who they like the best. Further, looks like carney's popularity is starting to sag And the poll you posted is the one that has them lowest, and it's STILL a statistical tie Seems like carney might be in trouble pretty quick, and that people would be just as happy to have PP as leader LOL We can hear you crying from here btw
  18. Yeah I saw that It is a shame that we now live in a country where the older generation is happy that they have their lives previously and don't have to Grow up in what Canada has become
  19. I guess you can only proclaim the end of the world for so long before you have to admit that it hasn't ended yet and isn't likely to.
  20. He's not lawfully allowed to be in the country how is this anything other than just enforcing the law? If you don't like the law change it. I've said that a million times and you have never once ever proposed to change to the law. You'll whole argument is that we should just break laws whenever we feel it's really a good idea. That's not how law works. It's a shame he was locked up for so long for a crime he didn't commit. It's not a shame that he's being deported for a law that he is in violation of
  21. You're forgetting something fundamental. They are able to do this because the voters allow it The voters can change everything during the midterms. I believe it's about 16 more senate seats and five more house seats and they have enough to impeach trump if they wanted. And I mean impeach him all the way not just in the house. The democrat voters allowed it when the democrats were in charge the republican voters are allowing it now that the republicans are in charge While you look at it as a loss of democracy, it is actually an exercise in democracy. This is literally what the people voted for, and if they don't agree with it anymore they can change their minds and do something about it during the midterms. But right now that looks like that's not going to happen. So how is this not the will of the people?
  22. Could be worse, in this day and age we're lucky if a king doesn't demand a tiara
  23. we don't call him dense. We call him 'gravity optimized".
