I think she's off a little bit, i'd say he's more like 15. He's got that whole "i just stopped trading pokemon cards and now i think i'm so cool" thing going on Old enough to be slightly embarrassed that my little pony is on his playlist but young enough that he doesn't know how to start a lawm mower

How do you trust a prime minister who doesn't believe investing in Canada is a good idea?
-
Like what. Umm... if they're taking it out of their paycheques that's STILL our employees paying for their health care. Most american workers have health insurance that comes off their paycheques too as i understand it. Not sure where you were going with that. Also our workers aren't just tariffed, they're BANNED from working in the states without special permits. If something is subsidized by the employees then it's not subsidized. And in fact our workers don't subsidize their own jobs, they subsidize health care for poor people who don't have a job. So in reality our workers are TAXED, not subsidized they actually have a DISadvantage compared to us workers, not an advantage. Our oil is somewhat subsidzied, or was, but you get that at a 20 percent discount already. So there you go. There have been things in the past that the us claimed was subsidized and either put tariffs on or limited the volume allowed to be sold etc. There's never been a time where there was NO american tariffs on some products. But it's just as reasonable to allow us to have anti dumping tariffs as well. Remember a fair bit of us eggs and cheese and milk is allowed into canada with practically no tariffs and the us has NEVER EXCEEDED that amount ever. But they would have in some years if they could dump their excess onto our market and that's why we have that. Trump wants to expand us agriculture and use canada as an 'overflow' zone where if there's excessive production we have to buy their goods even if it trashes our own industries. That's not really ok.

Hell yes. Consider the christian school kids. Just as a refresher, what happened there is that a bunch of kids were waiting for a bus and some first nations people literally walked up to them got in their face and started yelling at them and the kids just stood there not engaging and smiled back like they were amused. Their bus came and they got on and they left. They never approached the first nations or initiated any contact and we're not anywhere around them when waiting for the bus CNN and nBC specifically took video of this and altered it and edited heavily. They made it look and reported that the kids went up to these first nations who were just trying to hold a ceremony and deliberately disturb them and got in their face and were smirking and smiling an inch away from their nose on purpose to disrupt them. They claimed the christian kids were racists and trying to interfere with the first nations people who were just innocent people trying to get by and did nothing to provoke this. And they said this many times. It resulted in threats against the kids, their school etc That is 100% the exact opposite of what happened. The kids hadn't moved an inch, the first nations approached them, the first nations got in their faces, the kids tried to ignore them and they were the ones being harassed and all of this was caught on camera by other people. When the truth came out cnn and nbc tried to claim they didn't know the footage wasn't legit, then eventually admitted they were the ones who'd done it, and were sued for millions. The final settlement was kept secret but it's reported that it was well into the tens of millions to help these kids who's lives they tried to ruin. Many of the other 'edits' are the same. They very deliberately edited the trevon tapes to make him sound racist when he never said anything racists and only responded to police questions. Sorry but if "who was suing" was your defense, you lost that one hard.

There is no such thing as a 'blind' trust. Everyone knows that. Carney knows what he owns. He knows he has a huge stake in brooksfield for example and he knows how that company works. So he knows damn well whether a decision is going to benefit brooksfield and him or not. That's just how it works. And you can cry like a baby to your heart's content but that doesn't change.

it pretty much does. IF the subsidy stops, it would cost more to produce or they would have to produce less. that's WHY the subsidize. It means they can afford to stay in business at a lower price. without the subsidies it would cost more but they'd be in business But people would pay more for their eggs. Which is fine, there's a strong argument to be made that it's worth it for a gov't to do that to guarantee food availability and secure the food supply chain. I'm not saying it's bad, And in fact that same thinking is what lead to supply management in canada - protect our farmers and guarantee they stay in business. BUT it is unreasonable to allow your subsidized products to compete with our non subsidized products. And it's DEFINITELY not ok to allow the us to dump massive amounts of overproduction that happened as a result of those subsidies on our markets. And that's how things stand. It's pretty reasonable, we don't want anything that you don't want for yourselves. Supply chain and food security and independence.

DAMN it man i've got to sleep tonight you know! -
We all agree and wish you would stop. But at least you recognize you have a problem and that's half the battle

Yes according to international agreements. IF it wasn't the case there'd be no need for agreements. A fish in American waters is an american fish. We agree between us to control the catch so everyone can take a fair share but that's an agreement. It's no different than water - we allow a certain amount of our river water to cross into the US for their use, but it's OUR water until it does and we don't HAVE to do that. And as usual no examples no cites and you're just full of shit again. Can't refute a single point so ... this. Pathetic. My head is fine. Yours is the one that's exploding. Must be all those preteen hormones

Well here's the thing. You can go soft and stroke trump's ego and that can sometimes work. Or you can go hard and punch him in the face like any bully and actually we've seen that work too. And we can debate over which method would be best. But you can't do both. You can't have a prime minister who's playing the soft approach and then have a premier who's picking fights. That does not work. You have to have a national response and a national strategy and if that strategy isn't working then that person has to be held to account but they shouldn't be interfered with. I get Fords frustration. Carney isn't getting results and the automotive sector is being abandoned and the steel industry is getting clobbered and ford is looking at massive job losses for his province and he's getting frustrated. But this isn't helping.

If they're caught in Alaska they're American fish. And no thousands of jobs in businesses were not lost. Again not true but as always you pretend it is so that you can excuse the federal liberals which you absolutely adore from their bad behavior. And I would point out that indeed it was the federal liberals Who refused to back Glenn Clark's fight with regards to the salmon. Harper on the other hand managed to secure a very Canada positive softwood lumber deal and negotiated other settlements that benefited Canada. The ballot box absolutely matters 100%.

No, nobody considers war a game except trump who seems to think that it's all about cards Nonsense. And having arrival does not mean that you're particularly competitive, just that you see someone as an impediment to achieving your goals. Again, most billionaires don't need other people to fail in order for them to achieve what they want, if it happens to work out that way then that's how it happens to work out but they don't require it. Pretty much everybody who qualifies can get into med school and the fact is while some people may not make it you don't need anyone else to fail to achieve your goal. If you get into a medical school and nobody else who was qualified was turned away you still achieved your goal and your happy. Do you see the difference? A competitive person needs the other people to fail in order to feel that they have succeeded. And ambitious person does not need the other people to fail, and if they do oh well and if they don't great. All they care about is achieving their goal they don't care about whether or not anyone else achieves theirs. Carney isn't terribly competitive. He is opportunistic. The liberals realized that they were failing horribly and we're going to get slaughter ed and looking for a white night who could keep them in power and they're simply was nobody else so they grabbed carney. Take a look at his leadership race, it was basically three other people standing around saying how great carney was for a week or so and then they elected him. I would agree that the vast majority of people who become prime minister or president are competitive. Trump certainly is, it's not enough for him to be president he has to be the best president ever and everyone else has to be crushed. But sometimes you can get an opportunist who grabs an opportunity that they see Like I said, you can be both. But at the end of the day somebody who's competitive needs other people to fail in order to succeed, somebody who's Ambitious does not require anyone else to fail, all they require is to achieve their objectives. It's possible other people around them may fail in the course of that but it's not something that they need to have happen in order to consider themselves successful

Which would be fine. Products containing poultry and dairy aren't restricted, americans can sell as much custard and chocolate milk as they like. But American subsidize their farmers, and the tariffs are in place to prevent Americans dumping excess production into Canada. It's always p*ssed trump off and he obviously wants it gone
-
The size of the industry is shrinking rapidly. IF this was the ONLY recent reduction, then sure not a big deal, But it's not. It's the continuation of a series of brutal blows to the industry. And nobody's suggesting that it should be subsidized but at the end of the day this is the game the libs bought into, and like it or not 1200 jobs lost is going to hurt like hell as we're moving into recession and especially in a province that's already taking the brunt of the blows. You can try to blow it off as nothing but its' pretty serious As to stellantus they did retool and were supposed to open that factory again in just a month or two. The workers had all been told the layoff was temporary and they'd be hired back shortly. Now those jobs are gone. Sure, it's possible to talk other countries into building more here. China is a possibility but lets not forget toyota and others already build cars here But "assembly" when the supplier is across an ocean is always more expensive and difficult. As it is car's being assembled in canada have parts cross back and forth across the border 6 or 7 times, and there's a reason for that. You can't just 'ship' those parts back and forth across an ocean like that And ev's are undesired. The people who want them are a small percent of the market, maybe aroudn 30 percent. And that market has been serviced. Unfortunately the liberal gov't bought heavily into the whole "EV" thing and still has an ev mandate hanging over the car industry, which they've out and out said is harming the industry more. So despite your claim, this is a big deal. This is going to hurt canada bady. And Carney has abandoned the industry and has no particular plan to address it

The population didn't increase 40 perecnt since 2023 ffs. What a stupid thing to say. ANd lots of Canadians will do the job. We don't need the TFW program at all

More meltdown and meaningless drivel, more admitting you're wrong and you can't cope with it As I've proven, your memes are just lies you tell yourself to try to cover your own failings and stupidity. It would have taken 10 second of your time to realize those were lies before posting. Still can't find those 800,000 rental homes the gov't sold eh? LOL .... meltdown. We know. Honestly kid, we can here you crying from here. This is why people don't believe you're an adult. Now did you actually have anything to add to the conversation or are you just going to sit there and cry to yourself and hissy fit?

In isolation, by itself, nothing new. But when you add it to the growing pile of closures and slow downs which I believe is now up to five or six major announcements it becomes part of a larger trend and to an industry already reeling from massive job losses every single new job loss is a major blow A snowball doesn't have much of an impact, but an avalanche does even though they're made of the same thing. And that's what we're seeing, an avalanche of closures and job losses with no apparent end in sight.. And it impacts Ontario the most obviously. Steel and copper also impact Ontario a great deal.. And it's Ontario starts to suffer pretty quick the rest of us are going to wind up feeling the hit as well So every new job loss in the auto industry right now is going to be a major deal
-
You make a compelling case. One time he got mad i was right about something and spent about 3 weeks posting nothing but anal porn at me. I really do believe he's a young person, probably just in his teens. You just generally don't see older people have these weird melt downs and constantly repeat posts trying to teach others a lesson.

We're not talking about a 'game', and most endeavors don't have just one winner. An ambitious person may want to be a billionaire one day. He doesn't care how many other people are billionaires, as long as he is. An ambitious person may want to be a doctor one day. That's pretty ambitious consideirng the costs and education etc. But he doesn't care if there's other doctors. A competitive person may want to be the prime minister - he wants to beat everyone else and there can be only one. A competitive poker player wants to win ALL the money. He wants to be the only winner, the last man standing. The two are very different. Having said that you can definitely have people who are both You need to get out more
