  1. The opposite is true. The longer the killing goes on the more the international community tends to become impatient. If you kill everybody right away then it's too late for them to say anything and they tend to move on. Sorry but you're 100% wrong That is factually incorrect. Abstention is a valid option and that's why it's built into the system. If it was their job just to say yes or no then there wouldn't be an option to abstain. Abstention is not smiled upon and should be used sparingly and infrequently but it is a perfectly valid option. The fact that you don't like it does not change that fact
  2. As a gun owner who lived through the creation of and implementation of an actual gun registry, I can say 100% that this is not a gun registry. It's not even close
  3. Exclusive: BBC ‘doctored’ Trump speech, internal report reveals A Panorama programme, broadcast a week before the US election, “completely misled” viewers by showing the president telling supporters he was going to walk to the Capitol with them to “fight like hell”, when in fact he said he would walk with them “to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard”. The “mangled” footage was highlighted in a 19-page dossier on BBC bias, which was compiled by a recent member of the corporation’s standards committee and is now circulating in government departments. Apparently this kind of thing is common and this is the problem with the left wing media these days. While they love to pretend that it's the right that changes stories the fact of the matter is the left wise even more. But with their cot the left wing supporters kind of just blow it off has nothing and then scream about how fox is fake news. Really this kind of deliberate editing to create a story that doesn't really exist should be punishable under law. The freedom of the press is the not the freedom of Deliberate lies
  4. Child, if you cannot refute the facts in the story then you don't get to claim the story is invalid because you don't like the source. Stop acting like such a buttwad. You know better. As it stands they happen to be right. And it gets worse Canadian governments spent $158 billion on green economy but created only 68,000 jobs: report - The Hub That's about 2.3 million for each job, and no guarantee those jobs will last any length of time. In fact as I understand it many have already evaporated, And with the difficult economic times ahead more are on the chopping block. That money included subsidies for EVS which have stopped and now the EV manufacturers are leaving. If you actually care about the environment and you hope one day that the liberals will get back into power after they inevitably get kicked out this time then it would be wise to take an honest look at what happened and demand that future liberal governments that you would like to see elected and sure that any of their policies don't destroy the economy or take hundreds of billions of dollars out of the economy at a time when we desperately need money to pay for critical programs We're running 70 to 100 billion dollar deficits right now. You think that $160 billion dollars would be nice to have in our pockets maybe?
  5. Were you unaware that there is a potential conflict between china and North America regarding Taiwan? If you don't even understand the basics of the conversation I'm afraid you're not able to participate in it. Go read a book
  6. All the time. She gave almost everybody money, all the people that supported her were paid massive dollars. That's how she managed to go so over budget, she paid literally everybody to be her friend and say nice things about her I mean there's no law against it, but I do think there should be a law that says if you're a media source and you're presenting something as an interview you should have to disclose up front whether or not you directly or indirectly received a benefit from somebody in relation to the interview. You want to take 500k for doing the interview fine, but tell the viewers
  7. If that's what they were doing all the Palestinians would have been dead a year ago.
  8. Well the reality is so far they've been doing fairly well with that. More news today of canadian companies packing up and heading south. Like I said you're trying to compare somebody saving a couple bucks on a product to having a good job with benefits and you just going to lose that argument. I think in time it will become fairly obvious that the tariffs were negative overall but that time will take time to get here I think ads attacking trump directly are a mistake. But I absolutely think that there are all kinds of ads that we could come up with which show why terrace and specifically tariffs against Canada are a negative idea and make America worse again. And I would be all over doing that and putting pressure on trump going into the midterms
  9. But that ran out. He never became a citizen or as I understand it it landed immigrant And now he's committed a crime that he's admitted to and the law says he could be deported. It's possible the US owes him for the imprisonment. There's not really enough here to determine whether it was false imprisonment or simply a lack of evidence or the like. If it turns out that his case was compromised and he shouldn't have spent time behind bars then absolutely the united states owes him a big huge amount of money. That doesn't mean they owe him the right to stay in the country. He may very well find himself a very wealthy man living in india. The system is doing its job and they are considering whether or not there's grounds for a review of his deportation. If he is in the country legally and shouldn't be deported then he will win and there you go. If not he will have to leave. I'm not sure I see why any of that is a tragedy. He's exercising his legal rights, the government is exercising theirs, and absolutely none of this has anything to do with the fact that he was in prison for a crime which he apparently did not commit.
  10. Calling him carnage the destroyer is akin to those people who insist on naming their timid Little Chihuahua that shivers all the time "Killer"
  11. Oh look, the liberals are having weird sexual fantasies about the guy who's kicking their ass again
  12. The right column is the reasons Canadians are losing their jobs. It must be some sort of liberal math that makes you think " Wow I lost my excellent job for $100,000 a year plus pension and benefits but at least I saved an extra dollar 25 on a cheap t-shirt from china"
  13. Have you met the population? Don't be so quick to vote against it......
  14. And it never worked. And trying to make it work usually worked out badly for those who were insisting that it should You realize you just made my point for me In every part of the world the majority of people live in the cities. The reason we only have a few cities is because we have a low population. We have more space than the united states but a lower population in California. People need to do things for a living. They need to be able to make money. So unless you're a farmer you're going to want to live somewhere that you can get a job. Almost all of our land is habitable and comfortably so. We just don't have anyone to habit it at the moment. The first locations have been living in those areas for hundreds and hundreds of years without even the benefit of technology so yeah. And with global warming less of the American land will be good and more of the Canadian land will be good. There's actually some interesting papers out there pointing out this will be a net benefit for us. We also have a shockingly huge percentage of the earth's fresh water. We have massive mineral deposits that Americans don't have. Coastline and access to blue sea ports although not decisively so. To put it into perspective, we could have a growth. Which fueled a hyper-strong economy for about a hundred years before we even began to stretch the amount of room but we've got. America does not have that luxury.
  15. Ruh Roe Carney..... Doug Ford says he doesn't recall Mark Carney asking him not to run ad | Toronto Sun Carney told trump in the press that he told ford not to take that out. Now magically ford doesn't remember saying that. I'm not sure throwing forward under the bus is going to go over all that well Russia is why Europe has never flown one flag and in fact flies about 20? I take it history is not your specialty
  16. Yeah. It's a bad line to cross and sure, it's possible the democrats may choose to cross it first but that's something you should let them do and then own it. But the polls still have the democrats behind the republicans. So it doesn't seem to be hurting them much
  17. Europe would like to see you outside for a moment. And fail/ You've been failing for 200 years. The good news is at least we won't try to make you the 11th province. We've got standards
  18. In a democracy a perception problem is an actual problem. Democracies and government systems only work at the people believe in them. People don't have any faith in the legal system or the electoral system or the government checks and balances then everything falls apart. There's an old saying. If you know with certainty that you are not a twat, but everyone else thinks of you as a twat, then it doesn't matter if you're right. And let me remind you that a fair number of people who are like-minded as you were screaming like crazy just a couple of years ago that the election had been stolen and the system was rife with fraud and rigged. Now it's the democrats who say that kind of stuff. Nobody has faith in the system. In Canada we hated Justin Trudeau and Justin one elections with less of the popular vote and his competitors twice. But no matter what you never heard people saying that the system was rigged. Carney totally cheated his way in by abusing the system and still everyone accepts him as prime minister and even though they may think he's a complete slime bag who won using slime bag tricks they acknowledge that he is the legitimate prime minister About 40% of America does not accept that trump is the legitimate president doing a legitimate president's job. And whether that's perception or not that's a problem
  19. All of what I said is true. And yes, trump has one for now and we have a completely lackluster leader who was probably bought and paid for by trump before he even got elected. That's our bad. But that's today. History is going to be a lot longer than just today. The pendulum always swings buddy.
  20. Opposition parties are never responsible for bringing down the government on a budget. Passing a budget is the job of the government whether it's a minority or a majority. They have to negotiate and come up with a compromise budget that at least enough parties to pass it will support. If they fail to do that then the government failed, and they will hold the only responsibility for causing the government to fall in an election to occur. The public will have to decide whether or not they had some sort of good reason but 6 months into a new mandate and the government can't negotiate a deal? That's going to look horrible
  21. I think you may have made the typo then in all honesty, You said: "We are still have no elections like always down here. " I thought you were making a clever joke that the elections are Rigged. I take it what you meant to say was that we still have elections like always and that the no was a mistake. Fair enough But it isn't. For at least the last three elections the losing side is certain that The Winning Side cheated and more importantly is illegitimate. And that's just getting worse There will always be a certain percentage of people who think that an election had cheating involved, and there will always be a certain amount of cheating for that matter as long as the majority of the people believe that the system is fair and honest and free you're okay. But it's gotten to the point where the majority of people don't have faith in the election unless they won. And when that starts to happen democracy begins to crumble. Democracy only works as long as people believe in it
  22. Because we don't call every single thing in the world Marxist or communist. In fact despite your rantings it actually doesn't come up very often. But everything is racist. MATH is racist. All conservatives are Nazis and fascists. Everything is a genocide, etc etc etc If a conservative call someone somewhere a communist once then there's 100,000 democrats: Half of the world nazis five times a day It doesn't take people long to realize you're dishonest and then they don't listen
  23. LOL so your argument is it was always fake but now the paint is peeling off? I guess you could kind of make that argument if you wanted to and see how it went, but the bottom line is the American system works because people have faith in it. And the indications are that for the last 20 years faith has begun to fail and at this point is at a critical stage. When nobody believes in the laws, and nobody believes in this system, and they feel disenfranchised with no hope of resolution, that's when you get lots of political violence and people picking up guns and shooting police officers they disagree with. And then it goes downhill from there. When you make peaceful Revolution impossible you make violent revolution inevitable. JFK said that. The American model is deteriorating. And I don't mean with just Trump or Biden, it's been walking towards this for a little while but certainly escalated heavily under Obama and you have to know that the next democrat to get in will be the democrat version of trump and we'll go even further
