I understand. That's why you like to misquote me. You don't seem to like the reverse tho But i guess you think it beats actually trying to defend your indefensible positions. -

But i have. WIth cites included. And saying "I will run again" is announcing his candidacy. He would formalize that later but that's literally what it means. And he made that announcement in 2020 LONG BEFORE THE INVESTIGATIONS as i already demonstrated with citations. Your own quotes show the investigations started WELL AFTER he announced he would seek to run again. So you're lying. Big surprise. And this is why we can't trust anything that comes from the left. I provided you with explicit quotes from him saying I will run again that were made in 2020 and you're trying to pretend that an investigation in 2022 somehow came before that. And we're supposed to believe that evidence provided by the left is beyond any reproach or question 🙄 You can't even be honest here for 5 seconds. And the decision to proceed with charges was made as soon as he officially announced what he had already stated was his intent. The timing is crystal clear, as soon as he couldn't back out and was fully committed they fully committed to pressing charges. The investigation happened after he announced that he was looking to run again. So it's hard to look at it as not being a political move on the part of the democrats. Despite your lies the timing absolutely indicates that it was based on his intention to run not on actual prosecution of a criminal. Now we're supposed to believe that a report from a man who was hired to find him guilty is accurate because it says "I bet I could have found him guilty" . Yeah, no bias there at all. If trump had actually done something illegal it could have put charges in place 2021, certainly by 2022. Instead they waited till 2023 to bring the actual charges and didn't even begin that process until after he had announced he would be running formally and officially. You see the time line. "I MAY RUN" .... start investigation just in case. "I"M DEFINITELY RUNNING HERE"S MY PAPERS". - formal charges and we'll set the dates of the trial to completely interfere with his fundraising and run up to the next election. Democrats always try and lie their way out of simple truths. And that's why they were punished at the last election in the states and why the left wing is going to be punished in the next elections in Canada. You people cannot tell the truth to save your life -
At Alberta university, more proof we're watching DEI die in real time | National Post Meta, the world’s largest social network, just decoupled from “diversity, equity, inclusion.” At the University of Alberta, president Bill Flanagan also shut down DEI at his institution. “It’s about excluding, or highlighting what divides us, rather than what unites us,” is how he described DEI’s effects to me on a Zoom chat a few days before Meta’s announcement. After months of consultation with faculty, staff and students, Bill launched the new year with a bold announcement: The U of A is replacing its spin on DEI with a new mandate focused on building access, community and belonging. Exactly. Get another example of another woke policy that people have realized does far more harm than it could possibly do good. Good riddance to bad rubbish

Carney bans independent media from campaign launch
CdnFox replied to CdnFox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It's not a strange idea at all. In fact it's been to court already in Canada. Remember when Justin Trudeau tried to exclude the rebel and claim it wasn't a legitimate news organization? And they took the government to court and won? If you allow one media source then you have to allow all media sources. If your claim is that you don't have to actually be in the same room with a politician to ask questions then nobody should be in the room. Only a woke left-wing dictatorial type would suggest that somehow it was strange to think that excluding some news sources while allowing others would be a fair and reasonable practice in a democracy. That is absolutely asinine and you should be embarrassed for suggesting it -

Sure, if we just gave the carbon tax another couple hundred of years we'd see right? 🙄🙄 If it can't make a noticeable significant difference in 10 years, it's not going to in any reasonable time. You were told this. You were told it would not work and it would lead to people being sick of paying for "Climate action". The liberals never even thought it would work in the first place. If you expect something to work you put targets in place and then you monitor to see if those targets were hit. they didn't either. They never had any goal in mind and they never checked to see how it was doing and admitted as much directly. You and the left had your chance to deal with climate change. You had your chance to show that something that we could do could make a difference. You had free run and could have gotten away with anything. But you blew it and simply used it as an excuse to steal people's money and tax them further to no benefit and now they're fed up and it's your fault -
You're trying to spit hairs and it's just a losing cause. If canadian kids had the choice, canada would be just like america. As you've said you don't care about the facts, you simply refuse to believe anything other than what you believe. So i'm sure that when you look at it your brain twists it into some sort of acceptable format or you. But those who dispassionately look at it see that the young people are starting to think that canada is broken and they wish that they lived somewhere like the us. And many of them are acting on it. Emigration to the states is up tremendously and 'politics' is a very often cited reason. And when it's not politics its "Canada is broken" reasons like they can't afford a home or there's no health care. And the number of natural born canadians who are leaving is the biggest precent increase. Emigration from Canada to the U.S. hits a 10-year high as tens of thousands head south | CBC News Every single sign shows clearly that young canadians are losing faith in Canada and would rather be american or live in a country more like america. And the numbers are going up. And rather than address that you'd prefer to stick your head in the sand.

Sure kiddo. As i've proven. the timing of the charges were politically motivated. And you said the investigations took place before trump said he'd run in the next election. False Trump 2024: President Seriously Considering Run, Sources Say : Biden Transition Updates : NPR Even before he left office he was saying that he would probably run again and continued to do so. So they knew he was going to run again likely when they 'sort of' investigated. And they kept that in their back pocket till just AFTER he officially announced is bid, knowing that this would put the trial into the 2024 election cycle. The only thing that ruined their plans was the judges saying that their charges were not legal. Ooopsie. Otherwise he'd have been fighting that court case and spending the time and money on his defense right up till the election start. Trump said he was going to run again in 2020. But your'e trying to pretend he had no intention despite his mentioning it NUMEROUS times before 2022. That is a lie. Trump intended to run again, trump was clear about that, the DOJ held these charges until they saw he really was going to run again and then they charged him. They could have charged him a year earlier but nope, waited a full 2 years from the election date when this supposedly happened and then, after he announces he'll be running again for sure, THEN they drop the bomb If you can't tell the truth, you can't expect anyone to respect you. -

Wow! You worked up the courage to get over your fright and actually speak to me! Good for you little guy, Trump isn't an organized crime group and neither are the dems so unfortunately you were too stupid to realize you were wrong when you started. However, there's another problem with your analogy. They DIDN'T get the lakeys first. It wasn't until august 2024 that they nailed any of the 'accomplices" Woman charged in Arizona 'fake elector' case pleads guilty, docket shows - ABC News They moved forward in recommending charges to trump in 2022. Two years earlier. So what you're saying is that they BROKE SOP to go after trump. Having provided proof you're wrong i fully expect that you'll put me back on ignore now. You can't tolerate people who provide facts and cites to dispute your constant lies can you -
Biologically it is absolutely a binary. One sex carries the egg, the other sex carries the sperm. When it comes to mammals that's basically it. There are some minor details around it but when you look at the definition that's what it is. Which is a problem for your side because you want to pretend something. You want to pretend that mail is the same as female if the male feels that he is female. But at the end of the day they're male and there is no complicated conversation necessary. There are also only two genders, and everybody exists on a spectrum between them. It can be argued that the spectrum includes more than one line so to speak, a person may be more masculine or feminine in one element of their life and more feminine and less masculine in another element of their life but they are all just on a spectrum between male and female. Sorry for the inconvenience. But that is a simple truth. Everything else is an attempt to obfuscate that truth for a political agenda and to try and make a mental health issue somehow legitimate.

Sorry but you started off with a lie and i kind of lost interest in further lies part way through. Trump announced taht he would run again for pres in november 2022. Donald Trump 2024 presidential campaign - Wikipedia The gov't select committee voted to forward the case for charges in DECEMBER. just a month after trump announced. And then they put it before a grand jury in August of 2023 which meant it wouldn't go to trial till just as the election season was starting in March of 2024. \Tracking the Trump criminal cases: Latest on legal charges and key players It doesn't matter when they were "considering" charges. It matters when they decided to actually PROCEED with charges. And they decided within a month of him announcing he would run. And the ORIGINAL start date for the trial was march 2024. The timing couldn't BE more political. They could have proceeded sooner. But they didn't bother till just after he announced he'd run again. But you lied and said the charges were laid before he announced his run. They were not. When you have to lie to make your point, then even YOU have to know you don't have a point. The charges were completely political. They were designed to suck up time and money along with his other legal challenges during the election cycle and weaken him as a political opponent. That doesn't mean he's not guilty of something of course. But it sure as hell doesn't mean he is. And the report of a gov't funded political hit man that was never tried in court is of limited interest. -

But it didn't buy them any votes. Incompetent -
Might have had a shot if it was a real leadership race timeline over the usual 6 months, but with the 1 month version i doubt she'd get a chance to be known enough to win, and for that reason even if she did win she'd probably lose badly in the election which would follow.

Depending on how you want to define it he was a good leader. he knew how to get people excited gets about to vote so on and so forth. He could rally the troops behind him and get people on his team focused on the right direction. In many respects that is the quality of a good leader. He wasn't a great president at all. His economic policies were fairly weak, he divided people horribly for a race relations with his whole intersectional coalition, he failed almost all of the reform is saying promised and he left the border a disaster. He definitely wasn't their worst president but he wasn't great. Biden was probably worse and trump was probably a hair better although not much

LOL drinking on the weekend again i see I've never referenced the site at all that i'm aware of But here's the problem.... the quote you posted doesn't show them promoting her. At all. It just says she met with him. She did. It doesn't praise her or agree with her or anything And you've got some rando making claims about some other rando and insist it's proof that it's a russian site? Who determined this? Was it the police? or a gov't agency? Whereas we KNOW with 100 percent certainty that you're a liar. Sooooooooo

He had only 4 years as a us senator. A state senate doesnt' count to the Americans, that's like the farm team. Which is close to how much experience trudeau had before becoming leader and then prime minister shortly thereafter. And we've seen how that turned out. The criticizm was that without any real connections or history in the us congress he'd have problems making his grand plans happen. Which in fairness did turn out to be true to a degree especially first term. But at least he had experience as a federal politician at least a little. Trump had none. Justin barely had any and look at that mess. He's never been able to react quickly to a crisis. Carney would be just as bad or worse. He only wants the job because it'll let him play power broker even more and rake in more cash.
-
Nonsense. If that were the case Justin Trudeau would be a traitor for sending china masks and other gear during the pandemic. Biden would be a traitor for negotiating with Hamas for a ceasefire. There's no shortage of things that you say which are kind of dumb, but that one is at least in the top 10 Negotiating with a potentially hostile government to look for a resolution to a conflict is literally the definition of a politician's job as a leader. It happens every day and it's supposed to happen The difference here is she believes that the government's approach is wrong and she believes that it will cause a great deal of harm to her province and she would like to see a different method that winds up with a better result or at least one that she believes will wind up with a better result. She has open chains of communication and negotiation with the opponent and is seeking what is essentially the economic version of a ceasefire. To call that being a traitor is just asinine. This is why it's so hard to take the left seriously anymore, you guys come up with stupid comments like this. You could criticize her approach and explain why you feel it's not effective. You could criticize an individual premier like her or Doug Ford chiming in instead of letting the feds handle it and explain why you feel that is a thing. You could even claim that's for some reason you don't feel she has a mandate from the people to negotiate with the Americans although that's a pretty tough road a hoe But no. Instead of any legitimate discussion you go on with an absolutely blatantly childish claim that anyone with a quarter of a brain can shoot down in 3 seconds. I don't know why you feel the need to lie, but you're not helping your case and there are other legitimate things you could be discussing in the form of criticisms
-
Well he certainly wasn't the best. For that matter a lack of political experience was also one of the criticisms of Obama and honestly he didn't do that great either. Different countries are a little different, but in Canada being a career politician means you're qualified for the job and you know how to get things done. You understand how things work you understand how to make things happen and you understand the consequences of actions. And given that he has a further specialty in economics of the country and that he studied under harper who was comfortably the best economic leader we've ever had even if people didn't like other elements about him, I think most Canadians will see it as a bit of a no-brainer If carney wanted to be prime minister what he would have done is run for a seat in the upcoming election, serve for at least 4 years and then considered making a run. But he's an opportunist, I do not believe for a moment that if he doesn't win that he'll stick it out with the party and rebuild. Just like Ignatief promised that he would stay And rebuild the liberals because he was so dedicated to being a liberal and then fled the country 3 seconds after he lost. The man is an international banker and investment advisor which means he gets paid for introducing people to other important people and opening the door to contracts and money which is exactly what he will do as a liberal leader and he will not give a flying crap about canada. We would literally be better off with Freeland and we know what her skill set is

I've touched on this before but here's my problem with the whole Alberta situation .They are utterly dependent on oil. Trudeau has spent 10 years wrecking their industry, threatening them, hurting them and making them weaker. He then made every effort to guarantee that they only have one customer, the united states. He shot down almost every other attempt to get oil to markets elsewhere even elsewhere in Canada. From other countries because trudeau didn't want to see us buying oil from Alberta and support that So now that he has weakened them, and force them to deal with only one customer, and mistreated them for political gain, now he and other loser lefties are screaming about how unreasonable they are to take steps to protect their income and their industry and lose the only customer that the government has left them with. For 10 years Canada beat up on this province and now after we've left them bloodied and bruised we demand they do what's in best interest of the country. That is just unfair. I tend to agree with the team Canada approach, I tend to agree that we should say all options are on the table even if we don't really believe that, I believe that when a bully bullies you then the best thing to do is punch them as hard as you can in the face even if it means you're going to get beat up afterwards. But I completely and 100% have absolute sympathy for smith and the other albertans even left wing ones who are basically saying after all of that we are not prepared to take yet another hit for your benefit. -

Sure there will be. Trump can put a 25% tax on electrical exports which makes it painful for Americans but there's no stopping the government from putting 100% tariff on and saying well basically you can't buy it and really putting the pain to the Americas. Or just banning the sale outright.
