  1. oil companies, including canadian ones, are currently launching major pipeline projects in the states. And oil isn't expected to peak for another 25 years, and 'peak' doesn't mean that suddenly people stop wanting it So no, it has nothing to do with that.
  2. Political ambitions are not evil in and of themselves. It would appear that trump genuinely wants to cripple the venezuelan drug trade. Unlike his fake canada concerns, venezuela genuinely is funding it's gov't with billions of dollars in drugs being smuggled up and Maduro's gov't was a big player in that. I also have no doubt that trump wants to secure access to the oil, and possibly deny it to his enemies such as russia and china. Aside from Canada Venezuela is the closest major reserves. And it has also be raised by 3rd party experts that military bases were begin built in venezuela that would have allowed for long range missiles and icbm's. They were not operational yet and no missiles are thought to be in place but given the ties to russia and china he may have wanted to nip that in the bud. And i don't think trump liked the guy at all. Which is pretty much reason enough for trump to go after someone All of those things are plausible and have been thoroughly explored in the media but you are contention is the only possible reason he could be interested was to make Corporate America rich. Once again very dishonest of you
  3. Oh Robo.... don't tell me you ate that dictionary i gave you AGAIN? LOL And your use of caps and bolds tells me you KNOW i'm right
  4. Can't be a cultist, to be a cultist you have to be brainwashed. It's pretty clear he has no brain. Probably doesn't wash much either.
  5. I suspect you only trust her because you agree with her bias. And it takes two sentences to realize there's an incredible amount of bias there. It's like asking Hitler if he thinks Judaism is a good religion or not. At this point in time trump hasn't done anything that most other presidents haven't done and they're certainly no end of precedent for what he did. I do believe that he probably was motivated by oil at least in part although two things can be true. But as to whether or not it's a good idea only time will tell. Regime change has worked both well and very badly for the united states. A particular concern here is that the US has no boots on the ground the way it did in Panama so controlling the cartels who are now running amok and who sound like they're prepared to fight may not be all that easy.
  6. well that's cleared that right up for us i think. Ya know, egg nog goes bad about 5 days after xmas. Just thought i'd point that out
  7. No it wasn't lawfully rescinded and the equipment was seized. There's no doubt that that's an active theft Some reparations were eventually paid but it's always been said it was nowhere near enough I think saying it's their oil is probably a gross exaggeration but it's not wrong either
  8. There is absolutely nothing in that rather lengthy story about him claiming he's taking back their oil. In fact the story specifically says that oil doesn't seem to be his motive, but it's personal dislike of the guy and a return to the Monroe doctorine Once again you post evidence that you yourself are wrong 🙄🙄🙄🙄 Do you even read this stuff before you post it
  9. Not really but it's the kind of stupid thing uninformed Lefty's say to try and make other people feel bad for having their own opinion . Venezuela's oil production is extremely low. It has huge reserves that could potentially be tapped but it is always been said that it will take between 10 and 15 years i've investment and development for that to happen. And at that point it would just start to begin to produce more. And that assumes that the investment starts tomorrow which is probably pretty unlikely. The head honcho was captured but it's going to take a little time to get rid of his supporters and minions we're going to be pretty desperate right now knowing that they committed all kinds of crimes. There will be civil unrest there for a little while and probably it will require a significant American troop presence There's no doubt that it's going to eventually impact oil sales and any oil selling country around the world is going to be affected. But it will be a long time off And Alberta was never going to get another pipeline. Carney is just playing games so that he looks like he's being reasonable while still keeping his environmental core happy
  10. If it was obama, he would have just killed him Or did you forget about that. And this guy wasn't the president. Very few countries ever recognized that election as legit. You mean the drug traffickers? True.... not sure anyone who's not a left wing nutbar is really unhappy about that. That is traditional if a country takes over another country. That's how it worked with japan and germany and iraq and every other country. Sorry, you guys lowered the bar SO low with trudeau and biden that it's really hard to care about this. Blowing up a few drug boats and arresting a drug kingpin who terrorizes the citizens is a welcome change from the afghanistan withdrawal and declaring the emergency act on inncoent protesters and illegally seizing people's bank accounts at home.
  11. Arguably true, but that doesn't mean he was wrong to yank the guy. So basically the same as biden then Yeah well, that's american politics for you ????? So what you're saying is that ONE sentence is about how long your sanity can last for before you go nuttier than a fruitcake again.
  12. I see...... you're saying that statistically you're due for a win LOLOLOL No, i get what you're saying. Fair enough. I know you lean left but that did strike me as overboard for you.
  13. There's not much attacking going on there. It went in and arrested a guy with pretty minimal bloodshed as I understand it. It's not cowardly to arrest criminals. The guy was a bad guy he got arrested.
  14. There are a couple problems with your questions First in this particular case he wasn't the leader of a foreign sovereign country. Vast number of countries including America under Biden and Canada have never recognized him as legitimate. Continuing with that he was arrested not really kidnapped. And more importantly it's not a question of should they be able to, they very clearly are able to. And this is hardly the first time. Obama had bin Laden killed without trial and without the permission of the country he was living in. And he was certainly a political leader. And there's lots of other cases. So the question feels a little late. It probably should be more like 'can we stop it and should we'? Because it's been allowed for many decades. With your guards to your second question, nothing. Many other countries have and continue to do so. India killed a prominent political figure in British Columbia. Russia is certainly killed it's fair share around the world. Many of the other countries have as well. As to the president, what it says is that you better have a fairly strong country if you want to prevent this. Militarily economically etc if you are weak someone may very well do this to you.
  15. LOL oh noes!!!! Robosmith is regretting his substandard american education and can't keep up!!!!
  16. It wasn't 'germ infested', i wiped it with my bare hand each time to be sure.
  17. Oh it's kind of a step up for him, most of the time he posts links to a website that proves him wrong. No web page at all is in fact an improvement from his point of view
  18. Uhhh no, no the businesses have been paying it. Not carney. Many businesses either charged less to the buyers (that would be us sellers paying it) or the suppliers reduced their price to account for it (that would be canadian business). But not carney, where did you get that?
  19. Agreed but that's all Poilievre said Possibly true but that does not change the fact that getting rid of maduro is a good idea. Two things can be true at the same time. And you can still be happy about the fact that this guy is going to jail. You've lost your teeny tiny little mind. He may try and bully us economically but he's not going to invade Canada. Our carney has been brown nosing a million times harder, calling trump a transformative president and stating that the G7 can't function without him and he being praise after praise on him, and you're freaking out and wondering why Poilievre congratulated him for taking out a tyrant?? Your hypocrisy is showing badly here kiddo Hey if he wants to come arrest Carney and throw him in jail I'm all over it I don't think we'd get that lucky though And again where was this concern when Carnie was sucking up to him? Trump is going to come after Canada financially. And yes we do have to prepare for that, the whole plan for that was to eliminate interprovincial trade barriers, get housing starts going again, and attract massive investment back to Canada and start some major nation building projects. Sadly none of that has happened. And it doesn't look like it's going to happen this year either
  20. Well I think that removing the guy is going to be genuinely well received. The hard part will be what happens next. Regime change often goes sideways real fast, and you can bet that China and Russia are not happy about this in the slightest and won't be afraid to provoke agitation. History has shown that you can go from hail or glorious us liberators to kill the capitalist running dogs extremely fast if things aren't handled well. My guess is that america will do its own version of the UN oil for food program and will hunt around for an 'interim' leader to take over who's willing to sign a long term oil deal favorable to the us. Whether the people go for that will depend on how fast their lives improve and how much they believe there will one day be free elections and such.
  21. No No, he's deranged about everything. More like EDS
  22. LOLOL holy shit kid Did you really like Maduro or something? Pierre said: "Congratulations to President Trump on successfully arresting narco-terrorist and socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro, who should live out his days in prison," Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre said in a social media post on Saturday morning. The liberals said: Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand said Canada has "refused to recognize any legitimacy of the Maduro regime and opposed its repression of the Venezuelan people, including the persecution of dissenters and particularly political leaders opposed to the regime." It's pretty clear that both the liberals and the conservatives are okay with this arrest. Sorry kid if you were a big socialist fan you were on the wrong side of this one
  23. No we didn't. And if we have to blow boats out of the water then that's what we'll do. But it won't come to that we both know it. All we have to do is deport them back to their countries or lock them up permanently. As we saw in America when people realized that they couldn't just sneak into the country and stay there the number of attempted border crossings plummeted. And no, there's nothing we can do to rebuild somebody else's country. That's something they have to do on their own. The Americans had to learn that you cannot "Export" democracy either. Other countries can worry about other countries and if they're people trying come here we could just simply send them back and drop them off. It's not complicated
  24. How about the fact that regardless of how we got it it's a sovereign nation and has been so for well over a century and a half. That alone is justification enough
