  1. The last lockdown did achieve a drop in numbers. It's not about spread, it's about Hospitalization. You have to do something if Hospitals in Hot Zones have to be moving patients out to places without a huge problem. COVID-19 ICU patients seem to stay there for a long time. Meaning patients pile up. It does appear the variants are effecting younger people more than before. Short of isolating these regions, I'm not sure what can be done. Nothing is stopping someone in Toronto from driving out to get a service that isn't available in their city.
  2. Also note this investigation was started under the Barr DOJ Not exactly some Left-wing witch hunt.
  3. When getting married at Mar-a-Lago you can choose to have a rabbling incoherent speech given by the 45th POTUS. . . For FREE!

  4. Following the Law has gotten two Canadians citizens detained. I'm under no illusions that China is in the wrong here. But why is the US dragging their feet on this?
  5. I would blame China, first and foremost. But that was petty retaliation for the US forcing us to keep her under House Arrest. Why can't we just let her go, in exchange for the Micheals release?
  6. You could blame the whole 2 Micheal's think on the US actually.
  7. Patrick Brown would have been a much better Premiere than DoFo. Being beholden to the fringe Right-Wing will always keep the CPC down. Stephen Harper "mostly" kept the crazies in his party at bay.
  8. The question would be, without a vaccinated public, is there any ability for us to have a functioning economy. Toronto and Peel haven't had a fully functioning economy since November, yet they're still, by far, the leading driver in case-counts. AND if you dig deeper into the distribution, you find that it's a socio-economic issue. Places that have higher infection rates are places with a lower income population where people work in front-line jobs in shared living arrangements. My hope is the good weather saves us. People will move public interactions outdoors more. Like what happened last year. I think a further lockdown would just be met with an EFF-YOU to most of the province.
  9. I was referring to the Washington DC protest.
  10. Except it's not. The Flu isn't a Coronavirus. I'm sure all measures to improve one's immune system will help against COVID-19. This is why those that die usually have a co-morbidity of somekind.
  11. The only countries with a larger population than Canada that have a higher COVID-19 Vaccination rate are the US and the UK. Both countries with about 3 times the death rate (per capita). But yeah, complete failure!

But Trudeau bragged that Canada has the largest covid vaccine portfolio in the world...epic failure !    Maybe CanSino will come through from China.

This portfolio is probably why they have a better vaccination that some of the countries that are making the vaccines.

Was Canada's vaccination rate only to be compared to the US?

  12. I certainly think that was in the news. Remember a peaceful BLM protest that #45 broke up so he could hold the Bible upside down?
  13. Some may have been. Like when they burned down the Police Station. But that's ridiculous extrapolation to make it representative of the broad movement of anti-racism.
  14. When they're targeted at institutions of power in order to influence said power, they are.
  15. Please learn the definition of insurrection.
  16. Canada is now ahead of the whole EU in terms of Vaccination.

But please, only compare to a country that still sees a thousand people die a day due to COVID.

Today Canada is in 65th place globally in “total vaccines per 100 people.” In other news: Canada drops to 15th in “World Happiness Index.” Last year we were tenth.  Source: Our World in Data

No Canada isn’t doing quite well. You’re completely detached from reality.  At least you’re not blaming O’Toole! ?

We appear to be behind all of the EU and a lot of other places.

I believe you're looking at the column which says '1st dose'. But in terms of fully vaccinated we're well behind.

  17. I don't want to vote for JT, but the CPC just voted down a softball resolution claiming Climate Change is real. FFS!

If climate change was an urgent issue, leftists would/should be organizing sanctions and tariffs on Chinese goods to force them to act sooner than 2030.  Until then STFU.  Canada shouldn’t be subsidizing China’s refusal to act.  We’ve done more than enough.

All the while China is becoming a world leader in Battery production and EV adoption.

If we just wait until China stops building Coal fired plants to innovate to where the Green economy is headed, we'll have to buy all our Batteries from China anyway.

I'm all for preparing for EVs but I don't see Canada doing much other than subsidizing the purchase of them. Who's building battery plants except Americans?

  18. When is Powell going to prove Dominion fixed the election in Discovery?
  19. Sidney Powell thinks all the Trump supporters in this thread are unreasonable. https://theweek.com/speedreads/973467/sidney-powell-seeks-dismiss-dominion-lawsuit-argues-no-reasonable-person-mistake-claims-fact Sounds like the effort to overturn the election was a huge fundraising grift.
  20. Trump supporters are not reasonable. Know your crowd.
  21. Sidney Powell's defence in the billion dollar Dominion Lawsuit is that no reasonable person would believe her Election conspiracy.

    Trump supporters aren't reasonable.

  22. EU, UK, Canada and the US all impose sanctions on China. Guess that goes against a convenient talking point here.

In other words, Biden isn't a puppet of China.

Why didn't Trump impose sanctions on China because of the Uighurs?

Biden at al have no choice, it's take this stance or be defeated. We knew that their outrage at Trump's approach was feigned, that this approach was working and they are liars. Their own voters seeking reconciliation that they promised are fools for believing them. But, meh
