  1. Canada's Vaccine response is only a failure when compared with the US and the UK. Both countries who have handled the outbreak amongst the worst of any Developed nation in terms of cases and death.

Canada's percentage of doses given is inline with much of Europe. While it has way fewer cases and deaths that most of Europe.

      Did you read the link?

Canada's percentage of first dose vaccination is 8.58%.

That's within half a percentage behind Germany, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, Spain and Sweden.

It's better than France, Netherlands, Poland and Belgium (Where we get the Pfizer Vaccine).

The countries, that aren't tiny nations, where we're far behind are the UK, the US, Israel, Finalnd and Serbia.

Canada's ranking remains very low despite its government bragging about having the largest vaccine "portfolio" in the solar system.   Maybe don't brag so much next time or take COVAX doses from third world nations.

And the US remains very high when it comes to COVID-19 deaths per capita.

  2. I wonder if the motive of a person that kills 8 Asians in cold blood would matter if that person was a Muslim.

Did he kill them just because he was Asian or because he had some bizarre sex addiction.

I think it testifies as to WHO is working in today's massage parlors.

But everything is racism to you...if all you have is a hammer and other great axioms.

So yeah...he hates Asians and is a bigoted white supremist. Probably a KKK Grand Lizard or Wizard or whatever you call them.

If he was Muslim, would his motive matter to you?

You mean like the pulse night club?  Or Virginia Tech?  Etc?

  3. Yeah lots of bullshit. Clips of Tucker doing his Shtick.
  4. So, can you cite any lies Oliver made in the Tucker piece? Much of it was clips from Tucker's own mouth. Like his commentary on Iraqis.
  5. So that's the biggest lie told about the Inauguration?
  6. In the piece he references how Tucker deflects this accusation by only narrowly defining it. Yet his schtick is often focused on "preserving heritage" and denigrating diversity. He's also really popular amongst White Supremacists.
  7. Good Takedown of Tucker. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/john-oliver-scathingly-denounces-tucker-carlson-as-a-white-supremacist
  8. The biggest obstacle to Herd Immunity in the US appears to be Republicans who refuse to get vaccinated.

America still records almost double the daily cases and 5 times the daily deaths per capita as Canada.

Yes, Cuomo and Newsome have done a terrible job with covid.  Destroying their state economies while having equal or worse covid records as other similar size states.

But why are rural areas always so Conservative? They vote against their interests.

Life Free or Die. . . Wait that's New Hamshire. They're number 17. Not very Urban, but Blue.

  10. Canada added 259,000 jobs in February. That's like the US adding more than 2.5 million jobs per capita.

And you're a corrosive troll embarrassing debate skills.

You just dismissed the great job gains as no-big deal because people were told they can't work.

Then you pivot to the catastrophe of having to have those Stay-At-Home orders in the first place.

These numbers would indicate the economy is headed for a rebound.

Sure the hospitality industry is seeing some serious losses, but other industries have seen a boon time because of the pandemic.

    3. Shady

      Shady

There not actual job gains.  Provinces have been in lockdown for two months.  It’s businesses bringing back laid off employees.  You have no idea what you’re taking about as usual.  And to compare to to the united states makes zero sense.  They’re not going to have the same job numbers this quarter because most of their economy hasn’t been locked down, hence those jobs are already been added to the economy.  You’re an economic illiterate.

    4. Boges

      Boges

If they're not economic gains then the previous losses aren't actually losses either.

It's good news because it's an indication that many of these jobs aren't permanently lost, which is what your caustic post indicated.

  11. Apparently in Georgia they want to ban giving people food and water while waiting in line to vote. https://www.foodandwine.com/news/offering-water-and-snacks-to-voters-in-line-may-be-outlawed-in-georgia This is facism. Not some Cartoon Skunk being removed from a movie.
  12. Except. . . Now states are trying to ban Mail-In voting altogether. What excuse does Trump have? It's not like he has a job or anything. He lives in the state he votes in.
  13. So do you have Biden supporting Antifa? But you have Trump comment on Qanon.
  14. Let's break it down for you. 1) Qanon is an inconvenient truth for Republicans at this point. Trump has mentioned them. They're at Trump rallies. They certainly were at the Jan 6 Rally/Riot. But now we're supposed to believe they're a fabrication? I'll concede they are a fringe group. But the GOP needs to also concede ANTIFA is a fringe group, not representative of the Mainstream Democratic party. 2) Every single Republican voted against Aide for COVID-19 relief. The GOP has less agreement on impeaching Trump then a bill that has 70% Approval. Talk about being on the wrong side of history. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/02/03/biden-1point9-trillion-covid-relief-plan-has-wide-support-poll-finds.html https://ktla.com/news/nationworld/americans-largely-approve-of-bidens-coronavirus-response-poll-shows/ 3) Instead of talking about above. Conservative media is in hysteria about Dr. Seuss books not being published and the Rebranding of Mr. Potato Head, to Potato Head. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/kevin-mccarthy-dr-seuss https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/bette-midler-concerns-mr-potato-head-toy-hasbro-rebrand
  15. An inconvenient truth at this point. Like the fact that every Repub in Washington voted against COVID-19 aide. Better to talk about Mr. Potato Head and Dr. Seuss.

Twitter and Facebook receive special exemptions from the government, these exemptions are based on Twitter and Facebook not acting like a publisher.  They have violated that exemption.

I look forward to that court case. I think both Conservatives and Liberals alike would like to see Social Media giants be treated like Publishers.

  18. Trump didn't do anything. Except remove regulations that allow Amazon to avoid paying any taxes. So now to bitch about Corporate overreach, when they make decisions in their interest as a private company, is rich.
  19. So then you have the likes of OAC who steps up to Amazon, and she's pilloried for killing jobs. I don't think this new anti-corporatist bent that Conservatives are on are well thought out. It's the logical outcome of unfettered capitalism.
  20. Why didn't Trump try to Divest them? His distain for Bezos is well known. It seems the freedom and capitalism Conservatives love, allow Corporations to become so gigantic that they can't control an entire marketplace.
  21. So then we should break up large corporations. Force Facebook and Amazon to divest. It's refreshing that the likes AOC and Trump have the same Enemy now.
  22. Trump's main accomplishment during his term was a huge tax cut for corporations. Would you not think that a dogmatic surge towards deregulation also benefitted these big corporations?
  23. No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service. FACSISTS!
  24. Anyone have any comments on the absolute insanity of having a literal Trump Golden Idol at CPAC this weekend? I think there's a Commandment that addresses this somewhere in the Bible.
