The entire Middleeast hates the idea of Israel. And that's likely only escalated seeing what they've done to civilians in Gaza. It doesn't mean that Iran would nuke Israel. But it sure would mean that Israel would think twice about attacking Iran.

MAD is a thing. North Korea isn't nuking anyone. The one thing that's clear is that not having a nuke seems to make it more likely for the likes of the West to continue to bomb and/or invade them to prevent them from making a nuke. All these last two weeks have done is ensure Iran will be less transparent about their nuclear power.

The stated goal is to deport 1 million people this year. It's quickly moved away from simply deporting criminals. Stephen Miller was angry that those goal aren't being met, he told ICE agents to go to Home Depot to try and snag day labourers. This is not about safety, it's about reaching a quota. So they're snatching people off the street and figuring it out later. Last week there was a report of ICE detaining a high school student that came to the country when he was 5 while he was going to a Volleyball practice. This is inhumane. If Canada was doing this, I'd be appalled. It's certainly a big reason why tourism to the US is down, and why I'm not going to be eager to give them my tourism dollars anytime soon. The US is going down a very dark path.

You know you've won an argument when someone claims sealioning. The goal here has always been to prompt a violent response. ICE has been picking up kids going to school, separating families, arresting people on their way to immigration hearings. All the while they're wearing masks to hide their identity. When people stand up, Trump can set the precedent that he can send the troops in the incite more violence. This all is straight out of the fascist playbook. America is quickly losing any reputation of actually being a free country. "Conservatives" were appalled when law enforcement was carrying out federal orders in Ottawa during the convoy. They were allowed to protest for 3 freakin' weeks and wouldn't leave.
