    I certainly think Qanon supporters are domestic terrorists. And the people who stormed the Capitol are 100% terrorists. And just to get out in front of Captain Whataboutism, I think Antifa are also domestic terrorists. BTW I don't think anyone is saying Qanon is worse than ISIS, just that they're a more present threat to US National security.

    It seems to be the prevailing appetite for the GOP actually. Big Boy Conservatives are often castigated as RINOs. Many have left the party and oppose Trumpism. See the Lincoln Project. How else can you explain the shrugs for MTG's antics, while Liz Cheney is facing expulsion or demotion for voting to Impeach Trump. It speaks to a bigger crisis in the GOP. For election success they need the votes of both Fiscal and responsible Conservatives and the crazies in QAnon. It appears, it'll be tough to keep them both under the same tent.

    Well there have only been four POTUS impeachments. Trump has two of them. But impeachment can happen for a variety of Federal officials. And there is precedent from other Impeachment trials. It'll clearly be a legal debate. Quit being so resolute, your opinion is not indisputable fact.

      Conflating any opposition Democrats ever used to Trump's election and his supporters telling the big lie is the hypocrisy. Was there ever even a court case in the instances you mention? 

      You can live in your bubble of hypocrisy comparing events that don't even remotely compare. 

      Trump led a legal and pressure campaign claiming he won the election by a landslide, making his followers believe the entire US government was against free and fair elections. Leading to an insurrection. 

      And we can now see, even the most right-wing media outlets have to now concede that the election was free and fair.

      I'm not a hypocrite by pointing out your gross hypocrisy.  You have absolutely no intellectual honesty.  Democrats began the process of challenging free and fair elections.  Democrats began the process of challenging election certification.  Democrats began the process of voting machine conspiracies.  Yet you said nothing, and only speak up now when Trump does it?   Bitch please.  Democrats literally said the election was rigged just 4 years ago!  Democrats challenged election certification just 4 years ago!  Where the hell were you?  You're the biggest GD hypocrite in this forum.  You have the political memory of a 5 year old.  Your history beings in 2017.   Democrat voters terrorized cities for several months.  People died, injured, business destroyed, you said nothing.  In fact, you defended the behavior! ?

      I've actually never seen a hypocrite on your level.  You're like a hypocrite God.  But keep speaking truth to power!  I love how you change your profile picture to whoever the conservative leader is, even though they hold no power, and haven't been responsible for governing the country for 7 years!  You're completely pathetic.  Get some help.

      So because you can find something, you think, in some way compares to what Trump did, that means it absolves Trump of any wrongdoing. 

      And you're so desperate to make your point you always use the crutch of ad hominem attacks. "Pathetic", "No Intellectual honesty."

      It's easy to sling insults. It actually shows your lack of intellect that you can't have a decent debate without descending into mudsling. 

      If you were actually intellectually honest, you'd realize the likes of Argus and I are actually on the Conservative side of the Political spectrum, but the antics of Trump are disgusting to even us. We're not Libtard Hacks. 

      And most a good majority of Canadian Conservatives, for that matter.

    Congress can walk and chew gum at the same time. Biden had Senators over to discuss a compromise, they seem far off. What the Democrats and, I suspect many Republicans, would want from a Convictions is to then have vote barring him from every holding federal office again. The legal argument that he can't be impeached after leaving office is spurious. If it was true, any POTUS could commit any number of crimes on their last in office and face no consequences.

    If anything, the Democrats want to paint Senators that vote to Acquit as being pro-insurrection. You can see the attack ads showing videos of January 6th. It'll be the Dems version of Bengazi. It's actually astonishing how banning Trump from Twitter has completely neutered his messaging. There's no way he can get his crazy thoughts to market. It's oddly refreshing, but weird.
