Napolitano is absolutely incorrect. Let’s first understand Trump’s claim: ”Trump was indicted on Aug. 1. He sought to have the charges against him dismissed on two different grounds. First, he contended, he cannot be prosecuted for acts that were part of his responsibilities as president. Second, he argued, and in any event, he cannot be prosecuted in this case because he had already been impeached, but not convicted, in 2021 on charges arising from the same conduct. ” What Trump is charged with clearly was not part of his official duty. Now, the jury may rule that he’s innocent, but if he is guilty of Conspiracy to Defraud, Obstruction of an Official Proceeding and/or Conspiracy to Violate Civil Rights, none of those things are the duty of a President to perform. President Obama ordered soldiers to invade Pakistan and illegally capture bin Laden, which resulted in bin Laden’s death. Obama was NOT criminally charged, because capturing bin Laden was one of his official duties as President. But if Trump is guilty of the crimes he is accused of, then no, those acts are not the official acts of a President. On the second point, Presidential Impeachment is not a criminal trial, and the punishment of impeachment is limited to removal from office and disqualification. Therefore, double jeopardy does not apply. That’s more than obvious, as the Constitution clearly states: ”Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States; but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law.”2 points

I am sick and tired of seeing these people marching everywhere. Streets, malls, highways, etc. They bring their wars to our country, and disrupt our quality of life. Recently they are now resorting to blocking highway traffic, and harassing people in malls and businesses. Enough is enough. We need to give the Police the right to use force against these people. They can only be dealt with by force, since that is all they know. Then we can initiate deportation hearings.. They are getting on everyone's nerves. They do not belong in this country. Most of the people marching are doing it to be "cool" as it's the latest "in" thing to do. They have no understanding of the conflict. Three years ago they marched for Black Lives Matter. This is their "protest of the month." We need to ban Palestinians from coming into Canada. They are a menace to society, and are not compatible with our culture.1 point

Would you like me to post the G&M article covering why Mulroney tripled immigration back in the 80s because his immigration minister convinced cabinet new immigrants became loyal party supporters of the party in power when they arrived as soon as they get to vote? It's not done for our benefit, but for theirs. I don't know what has given you the idea Conservatives, much less conservatives think Poilievre is a genius. He's a political animal. And he knows that half the population of Toronto and Vancouver are immigrants. He's also way out ahead. The last thing he needs is to allow the Lib/NDP, with their media allies to jump up and down screaming he's anti-immigrant. Which they WOULD do. His most recent comment, when pressed, was that he would tie immigration numbers to our healthcare resources and our ability to build housing as well as the economy. That 'suggests' to the base who want immigration slashed that he will take action while giving the Lib/NDP/media no real ammunition to attack him since what he said is inarguable common sense.1 point

So because you disagree with them, their Charter rights should be removed?1 point

Thanks Greg. Some of us don't acknowledge that everything here is on you. One quibble... a bit of warning before changing over next time please? Even ten seconds!? Just long enough to save.1 point

Well this is it in a nutshell. And of course today we have Michigan essentially agreeing with you, saying trump stays on the ballot, and the US supreme court can be the one who considers the issue. Which is the correct response. This is so obviously a witch hunt that it's painful... but the problem is that now that door is open, it trashes any respect for the law at all. And republicans will use any means at THEIR disposal to cripple the dems and their voters and if the dems complain it'll simply be a case of "you started it" and nobody will care. This was a very very stupid thing to do.1 point

Of course politicians of opposing parties stick together. And of course both parties love the parts of the Constitution they agree with and ignore the parts they don't. Did you actually have a straight face when you posted this nonsense?1 point

Why not use 18 U.S. Code 2383 Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States. Of course then he'd have to be tried in a criminal court which has more stringent due process than a civil court. Right? And why is it that none of those facing charges or who have been charged because of their actions on Jan. 6 have been charged with insurrection?1 point

Sure - you're fairly correct with regards to the nurses, basically their wage is the value of the "work" they 'created", just as the "profit" from selling a "gizmo" is the value of the goods produced in an industry. Where industries produce goods they use that. where industries produce services they use that. It makes sense. In both cases you're basically trying to look at the value of what was created after expenses, and in the case of a service that's the value of the services provided. And yes it's the most efficient way. You can do your analysis another time, this whole thread can't be about educating you. as to point 8 - no, at the end of the day ALL immigration is the responsibility of the federal gov't. No business or other org can bring someone in without their blessing. And if you USED to make 10 dollars profit per person in canada, and it drops to 8 dollars per person - even tho timmies makes a profit the quality of life for the people goes down. We can have an extended discussion about that if you like but at the end of the day that's simply the truth. Right now trudeau has opened the doors to an insanely high amount of immigration - vastly higher by every metric than we've had in history with the possible exception of the early 50's which will be exlipsed in the next year or so. ROFLMAO - Polievre is speaking out against this nonsense, so while i know you're a big justin supporter lets not try to defend justin by claiming its other people who 'don't get it' LOL - mr "not a leftie". Sometimes you're just so painfully transparent In any case - even justin can read basic polling numbers. Whether he agrees or not the public has (correctly) associated high inflation and home rents/prices with immigration. You claim he simply wanted to increase GDP but as we've seen that just doesnt' make sense. So what is his reason to do this in the face of public pushback? Honestly - i can't figure it out. It just makes no sense politically so i assume there's some other motive.1 point

I agree with Napolitano. The SCOTUS will quickly decide he does NOT have immunity for INCITING THE OBSTRUCTION of THE EC VOTE COUNT.1 point

You will find more accurate information on the greenhouse effect in a number of journals in the library and they are free. Mr. Rosenberger's statement: indicates he is a communist and anti-Christian. It is the Constitutional role of the Monarch to guide the government. The term "globalist elite" is straight out of the socialist operating manual. It is a phrase that is anti- conservative. Freer global trade is what makes the computer you are using and the internet you are communicating with affordable to you.1 point

August, thats the example you want to use, you can get a i dunno what for 16 $... Years ago i could get a full meal in Egypt for just 2 bucks American, and i knew what it was, does not mean things were good in the country.... . Thats a pretty shitty example of how we get along....and yet lets talk about how treat our homeless, our veterans, how There are separatist parties in Quebec, Alberta, Sask, how parents rights are being trumped by the school boards and LBGTQ lobby groups, how our government thinks diversity hiring is going to make things even across the board for minority groups...there is a lot more things that tear us apart rather than bring us together... like i said Most Canadians don't give a rats ass about Canada, but rather what this nation can give them for free...we have become a nation of "give it to me now" there is no pride in our nation, we have become divided by our government, by other lobby groups, by other governments...We are the weak link in the running of our own nation let alone in global affairs... Canada use to be a good place, today it is almost embarrassing to be called a Canadian, we have become a nation of free loaders and some how that is something to be proud of......Canada may look like a good place out your window...but if you get a bigger picture it does not look as rosy as you point it out to be...1 point

Small ‘c’ conservatives expect less than liberals. The status quo is closer to what they think they deserve. More of them are religious which may make more grateful for their lot in life.1 point

Again, your lack of self-awareness is hilarious. Your first post in this thread was picking a fight, and having that pointed out triggered your default state of yap-yap-yap, complete with your programmed "aww muffin" response. ??1 point

As a rich you should think about your safety more than your money, with Poilievre or Trudeau I would be afraid of receiving an atomic bomb to the head the way it is going now. These two guys don't care about human live. Or maybe you have enough money to move to Bahamas?-1 points
