  1. This is what I voted for! The left has said that only the Federal Government can enforce federal laws while also saying that States don't have to abide by them. Either it is the law or it isn't. You can't have it both ways depending on who is in office. No one is above the law. The means you Ms. Bass.

  2. Whattaboutism. Unity is an issue in this country. It's hard to feel connected to a "team" when you don't know much about it, or feel ashamed of it. No, the point of the 2nd PM is my argument that people know about our history of residential schools, but they don't know much about the rest of our history before the time of one's birth. Young people know about the shame of those schools, but what else? If they can't name the 2nd PM, what about the 3rd? Or 4th? 5th? 6th? Could they name any PM pre-WWI besides Sir John A (who btw we're made to feel ashamed of, see: cancel culture). Do they know what any PM before they were born even looks like besides the ones that are on our money bills? Is our money the main thing teaching us our history? If you want a united country where provinces don't keep threatening to leave we might want to teach Canadians what this country is all about, where we came from, and why its matters that we're a team in he first place. There's no getting through to a liberal-minded person though. Your ilk are the ones who created this problem in the first place. I'll quote the meme saying that isn't it pathetic how Trump united Canada more in a month than Trudeau did in 10 years? We need a unifying national identity other than "We're not America". If anything is old and boring, it's that.

  3. Trump talks about common goals and common interests all the time. Are you telling me that democratic supporters aren't interested in having a stronger economy? Are you foolish enough to believe that legitimate Latino groups are unhappy about illegals and criminals being deported? He ran on all this stuff and the Latinos voted for him in larger numbers than ever. So do the blacks especially the males. So did most of the other ethnic groups. It is Biden and Kamala and obama who have tried to divide Americans. Obama came up with the intersectional coalition, were you literally split smaller groups aside and then frighten them into voting for you to stop the white cis people. Racism and racially related crimes went up tremendously under those Presidents. The only thing that went up during trump's time was race riots driven by the democrats. And here in Canada the liberals have been the most divisive party in our entire history for the last 10 years. Their entire time in office was an exercise in turning one group against the other, who are against the rich, christian against Muslim, Religious against atheist, vaxxed against unvaxed, rich against poor, east against west, Straight against gays etc etc And yet you support them. So are you saying that you're an ídiot?

  4. Does anyone fail to see the irony of celebrating the founding of a nation that our 'elites' disparage on a daily basis? A nation founded by people our academics curse and sneer at, and peopled by those our schools utterly ignore in favour of genuflecting toward natives? Take pride in Canada! Why? Isn't Canada an illegitimate, genocidal, colonial, racist, oppressive, so-called country on stolen land? How many of the Canada Day celebrations will start out with a groveling mea culpa that it's being held on the land that rightly belongs to someone else? This isn't how ordinary Canadians ever felt, but to the elites, its mandatory, and they're doing their best to teach our young the same absurd ideological beliefs they suffer under. 5. No we didn't. We brought in the number one climate saving program in the entire known world, the carbon tax. Had it for 10 years. Climate change must be solved by now, you guys promised!

  6. I saw this on X and it prompted me to do my own research: So here is a verifiable Joe Biden signature: And this is the autopen signature: Like the video said, the B in Biden is different. And, here is a Joe and Jill Biden signed picture: Just like the TikTok video on X and the pharmacist on Gateway Pundit said, Jill Biden's B is the B in the Autopen. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2025/06/constitutional-crisis-researcher-suggests-bidens-autopen-signatures-may/

  7. I know they lead the way in those technologies and I suspect you do too. Of course they still use a lot of coal because China is still a rapidly developing country with 1.4 billion people. You have to look at the direction they are taking to assess where they will soon be.

  8. We are getting a little off track here. Unfortunately, English speakers have generally received a lopsided education in Napoloeon through a British lens of yesteryear that equated him crudely with the likes of Hitler and ignored the way in which he transformed France, and European law. One example would be the emancipation of Jews in his empire and what happened to many of them after he fell from power, eg in the original ghetto of Venice. Needless to say, there were wars in Europe involving the great empires before and after Napoleon. That’s another day’s work. My initial point was that a young French corporal was given an opportunity to seize power in France because of a foreign invasion of the country. To reiterate: foreign ‘liberations’ rarely work because they are usually not aligned with the interests of the invaded nation.

  10. I disagree that we don't have a democracy. We do have a democracy, and we need to learn to use that better to our advantage. But there is no doubt that you are correct that one group of people has their thumb on the scale in a huge way. Democracy is slanted in favor of one group and while that control is not absolute it is powerful and excuse the results in favor of that group. In other words if under normal circumstances the liberals would win 50% of the time and the conservatives would win 50% of the time, with the way things are the liberals will win 75% and the conservatives 25% And yes that is terrible. And yes we need to fix that. But it's not like democracy is entirely gone and we can fight back

  12. ROFLMAO!!!!! Oh NOES! I've hurt your feelings SO BADLY that you're reduced to childish name calling because you can't make an argument LOLOL Not that I was unhappy with the usual brainless crew around here who make hilarious stupid statements that amuse me all day, but it's always nice to have a fresh ídiot who's willing to step up and play class clown as if he was in an elementary school LOL Sorry that I crushed your tiny little ego so badly that you're only way to strike back was to make fun of my name But to be truthfully honest it is delightful to see and absolutely hilarious.

  13. Leading the way in virtue signaling Maybe, but they're also leading the way in pollution. Until this year they were increasing their carbon output at a rate of Canada's total output every 15 months to 18 months. Basically more than one Canada every year and a half.

  23. DSTs are only going to become more common around the world. Governments have been remarkably patient about the shenanigans of American high-tech firms partly because of the benefits their products have brought but their patience has run out. Facebook, Google and the rest have wiped out the revenue from local tax-paying media companies, replacing them with complex arrangements that squirrelled money away in havens like Ireland, the Caymans and Luxembourg. Trump shouting at Canada isn’t going to stem the tide.

  24. Here you go again. There is no monolithic "Jews" to test. You keep making ignorant comments. Jews can be arabs just like they can be white, black, Hispanic... There is no difference between a converted Jew and a born Jew; once you are converted, you are considered 100% Jewish, and becoming Jewish is more than just deciding to be one. Seriously, your views on this are so beyond ignorant they are anti-Semitic.

  27. Well, it is pretty obviously against the law, but here is an article about the law that also references 18 US Code 115 if you'd like to verify it: Then there is the SCOTUS decision that covers this topic as well. The ruling talks about the limits of free speech: In this case, she literally said things that were "directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action" and it "is likely to incite or produce such action". Per the SCOTUS ruling and the law, she's pretty damn guilty.

  28. They probably weren't taught our history that's for sure. And they certainly weren't taught to love Canada. And I'll straight up call you a liar if you claim your children were more patriotic than kids in my day. And there's plenty of proof that you're wrong. A series of polls have been done on this and in about december last year the number of people who were very proud of canada was the lowest in history. IT's bounced back a bit but it's still well below the highs that they saw in the 80's when they started tracking this kind of thing. Canada Day: Do Canadians feel proud? Less than half of canadians are 'very proud' of canada. And that's with a massive bump after the election thanks to trudeau being gone and trump scaring everyone. And that is fading fast, and will get worse as people realize carney isn't going to deliver. Trudeau saw the end of the truly patriotic canadian, and we have never been less patriotic as a country than we have been in the last year or so, even with the blip we see now.

  30. And who would shovel the snow in downtown Toronto? Who would do the sandbagging every year in Winnipeg area? Who would help with flooding in Quebec every year? Who would evacuate all the indigenous villages every fire season? Who would do the 9000 SAR actions every year? Who wild do the almost 2000 medical evacuations the RCAF does every year? Who would do the aid to civil powers every year? Yeah, you get a lot more out to of the military than watching a parade every Canada Day.

  31. With my kids no longer in school I'd like to get out of paying the school tax portion until my grandchildren are fully into the education system. I don't use the library either so don't want to pay that tax line. It doesn't work that way... Lot's of comments saying the military funding is a bad idea, but not one suggesting what it looks like if we had said 'no thanks' and chose to go alone in the world. Does anyone honestly believe that would have been the best route for Canada to take.... militarily or economically.

  38. It may be "just you"? We have what we have because it is what "we" wanted. As I said, most, if not all governments of all parties are not pro active but reactive. They do what people want. We cry and b1tch and moan and yell until the government does something to appease us. They promise and we choose governments based on future promises...whether they are kept or not. I am not supporting the liberal party in any way (and as being a westerner, never have till this last election) but, how can you support the conservatives for the past 10 year when they have had 4 leaders that could not lead or convince Canadians that they can do better. Their promises were not good enough to convince the public 4 ties in a row. Don't be pissed at me...maybe be pissed at the conservative party an the leaders of it. Maybe the conservative party needs to find a leader that can convince Canadians?? My point is and was, anyone can say things are "broken" and often only because they do not agree with the way things are going...according to them.

  39. Canada ‘caved’ - this is the thuggish mentality we have to negotiate with. Really classy people. They hate us when we bargain with them and despise us when we compromise. So it looks like we will have to postpone DSTs because of our geography but rest assured they’re only going to become more common in the rest of the world and will make it to our shores eventually. In a digital age, governments can’t afford not to have them.
    -1 points
  40. There is a big difference between "caving" and being strategic. "They"? The Americans don't "hate" us. This is all a Trump (or his personal puppets) tactic but Carney is not a stupid businessman. He can play as well. Yes, Carney will postpone them but not eliminate them entirely. The European Union has them and some of those countries have a "deal". Carney will just wait for his opportunity.

  41. Of course his staff would call it that LOL Trump and his hangars on have to have a "victory". Fortunately...like so much of their celebrating is often debunked a week or 2 later... like the obliterated Iranian nuclear sites I guess what upsets me the most is our side not debunking Trumps 1diotic claims. Then again, I can see us being quiet lest we pi$$ him off too often LOL
