The goal of Hamas isn't to stop Israel from building settlements in the West Bank or any other illegal activity as many progressives like to believe, their goal is to re-conquer and re-colonize all of the land of Israel/Palestine and completely dismantle the state of Israel by any means necessary. Israel is a legal entity as voted by the UN General Assembly so Hamas has no right to do that. Jews are the indigenous people of that land, not Arabs, and therefore have a right to a homeland there in some form. Palestinian leaders and their people have never had any desire for a 2-state solution. Israel abandoning that goal 20 years ago once they realized the Palestinians were never going to be interested in peace isn't surprising. Palestinians don't deserve a state if they're just going to use state rights like trade and a military to perpetually launch attacks against Israel because they don't acknowledge their right to exist. Many progressives are naive and don't seem to understand most of this.3 points

That's not possible, we've been paying carbon tax for 10 years, surely Global warming has been solved by now! The issue is not who sells the oil, the issue is who burns the oil. Right now we can sell oil to those who are going to burn oil one way or another and our oil is about as environmentally friendly as you can get also dictator free. Our natural gas is an excellent way to reduce emissions until more permanent solutions can be found So your little map means absolutely nothing at all. Giving money to Russia for example to fund more wars is dumb, and forcing people to go to them will not change the amount of carbon emissions at all I know math is hard, but surely even you can work out but if the same number of liters of oil are going to be burned regardless of who sells it that being the people selling it does not affect climate change1 point

1. My question proves that you hate America and you want to erase its borders. 2. What you don't understand is how illegal crossings work. Every time I bring this up, you retards scatter like roaches. lol Now, explain to me how someone breaking into this country all of sudden becomes legal. Or better yet, point out in the constitution where it states that you can break our immigration laws and still be here lawfully. 3. Point out all the green card holders that Trump is going after, then explain why he is going after them. 4. Wrong. ICE is following orders from the Commander in Chief. If you don't like the actions of the Executive Branch then I suggest you pack your shit and move to Mexico. 5. Trump is the President of the United States. You are a propagandist. I am a true American. You are a border erasing psychopath. I am a patriot. You are a globalist slut. 6. First things first, comrade: First we go after the violent criminals and gangbangers, THEN we go after the general shitbags like the Hamas and Ukraine sluts, then we go after the non-productive like all those leeches on welfare in NY, then we take a look at the ones who are actually being productive and either work out visas or deport them depending on their criminal records. Now see? Isn't that easy? All it takes is scumbag like you to spew mindless shit, and then I step in to clean it up and throw the waste back in your face!1 point

You are correct, minus Senators. Every state gets 2 no matter what, which was the point, to help even out States Rights so it was not just the handful of most populous states controlling everything. There is a forumla that divides up the number of representatives based on state populations. So... the more illegals California has, the more representatives they get.1 point

Have you denounced the riots? Because later in this post you went on to make excuses for them. Yes, calling Trump a fascist is inflammatory rhetoric. Trump exhibits zero traits of a fascist regime. As was pointed out in other threads fascists don't: Cut taxes Reduce the size of government End wars Create new trade agreements with friendly and adversarial regimes Hold fair elections Abide by elections that are clearly flawed Promote small business Reduce penalties for minorities You are the one that is lying. You are the one using fascism as if it is defined by the emotion it elicits in you rather than the true definition. You want to call me a liar and the post this? That is rich! Is this just a peaceful bonfire? And they were just helping these cops collect bricks and broken scooters by throwing them off a bridge at them? And these fireworks are just in celebration of their successful demonstration? The admin isn't breaking the law. I posted the law. Expedited removal is acceptable for aliens here without papers for up to two years. You posted that the administration can have hearings in absentia and that that was an Obama era policy. Every time you say that Trump is breaking the law, you are knowingly misrepresenting reality. That is the true definition of lying. Not the emotional definition of "I dont like what you said" that you are using.1 point

@User is correct of course but just to clarify for those who may not know..... America bases the number of house representatives AND senate reps ( i believe it's both?) on each state's TOTAL POPULATION! Not the population of citizens. So, even though illegals can't vote, the more illegals there are in a state the more reps they get in the house and the senate. (correct me if it's not both). So if state a) has 100 citizens and state b) has 100 citizens PLUS 100 illegals, state b) will have twice the representation in the house despite the fact it has the same number of actual voters. More or less. That's why they want to pack their states with illegals. They still count when working out representation (most of the canadians don't know that, which is why i thought i'd spell it out)1 point

I think there are several reasons, but I will go with the 2 driving motivators: 1. The census. They know if they flood the country will illegals and they then promote illegals staying in leftist states and cities through sanctuary policies and all the other welfare give aways they provide, that drives up the census numbers and skews the representation their way. 2. They ultimately hate America. At least they hate the notion that America is a majority white Christian country and they hold America as being guilty for every wrong in the world and they want to fundamentally change that. They hate the small town, apple pie and ice cream culture, and anything uniquely American and want to destroy that. By flooding the country with 3rd world gangs, criminals, and illegal immigrants in general they are slowy destroying that. 3. I think there is a smaller subset of useful id1ots on the left to both of those causes above who naively think that this is like some lifeboat on the ocean and we have to let everyone on board so they don't die out there... I can't even begin to explain the amount of ignorance that exists behind this one, but they are ignorant having a fundamental lack of comprehension for how many people are in the world and what the root causes are behind the misery and suffering out there. Even when you explain this to them, they choose to be ignorant and ignore this and pretend like it isn't true.1 point

You aren't just saying this stuff to friends and family. You put it on the internet. The entire world can see it. You are contributing to the normalization af radicalization. You are part of the problem. There is no due process for expedited removal. That has always been the law. What was a violation of the law was releasing aliens subject to removal even if they were claiming asylum. What was also illegal was issuing them SSN and work permits: https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/8/235.3 "(ii) No entitlement to hearings and appeals. Except as otherwise provided in this section, such alien is not entitled to a hearing before an immigration judge in proceedings conducted pursuant to section 240 of the Act, or to an appeal of the expedited removal order to the Board of Immigration Appeals. " "(iii) Detention and parole of alien in expedited removal. An alien whose inadmissibility is being considered under this section or who has been ordered removed pursuant to this section shall be detained pending determination and removal. " "(ii) Detention pending credible fear interview. Pending the credible fear determination by an asylum officer and any review of that determination by an immigration judge, the alien shall be detained. " The laws above don't require a hearing.1 point

No, you need to read some history of undocumented immigration to the U.S. It has been going on for many decades under both Republican and Democratic administrations. It is not unique to the Democrats. quote By 1980, the number of people in the U.S. without authorization had grown to 1.5 million. That decade witnessed what Clemens calls a demographic and economic perfect storm. A Mexican economic crisis sent many young Mexicans looking for work, while a booming U.S. economy meant fewer young Americans were entering the workforce. By 1986, there were 3.2 million unauthorized people in the U.S., prompting action from Congress. The Simpson-Mazzoli Act was introduced as a way to end illegal border crossings once and for all. It had three parts: Give amnesty to those who had been in the country for at least five years, crack down on employers who hire people who can't legally work here, and pump up border security to prevent future illegal crossings. President Reagan supported the bill and signed it into law in 1986. Three million people were granted amnesty under the Simpson-Mazzoli Act, but by 1990 the number of unauthorized immigrants was back up to 3.5 million. "Border enforcement never really kicked in in any significant way until about a decade later — the mid '90s," Meissner says. "Then, the real centerpiece of it, which was employer sanctions, was very weak. There was not really an effective way to enforce employer sanctions and lots of ways for both employers and workers to get around it." Moreover, those who had been in the U.S. less than five years weren't eligible for the amnesty. "So those people who couldn't apply for the legalization program became the seedbed for today's 11 million," Meissner says. Boom and bust The U.S enjoyed huge economic expansion through the 1990s, which sent the number of unauthorized immigrants soaring. According to the Pew Research Center, by 1995, despite increased border enforcement, the population hit 5.7 million. As it became more difficult and dangerous for migrants to go back and forth between their homes in Mexico and jobs in the U.S., many of them stayed in the U.S. The growth continued, reaching 8.6 million in the year 2000. "Things slowed down a little bit with the recession in 2001 to [2003]," Passel says. "And then the flows picked up again as the economy heated up through 2006 to [2007]." It was then that the country hit the highest number — more than 12 million. "With the onset of the Great Recession, the flows ceased, pretty much, for a couple of years," Passel says. "After 2009, the U.S. economy expanded, unemployment rates went down, but the unauthorized flows did not pick up again. The number has been around 11 million for almost a decade. 2017 snapshot Today, the population of unauthorized immigrants is more urban, less seasonal and less Mexican than it used to be. About 52 percent are from Mexico, and the population is less single and male than before. U.S. 10 Years After The New Bedford ICE Raid, Immigrant Community Has Hope "At this point, the unauthorized immigrant population is largely a family-based population," Passel says. "About half of the unauthorized immigrant adults in the United States have U.S.-born children." An estimated 40 percent of unauthorized immigrants did not sneak into the country; they entered legally and overstayed their visas. The work they do has changed from being strictly agricultural to a range of mostly low-wage, low-skilled jobs such as landscaping, meat rendering and back kitchen work in restaurants. All Things Considered editor Andrea Hsu and intern Esteban Bustillos contributed to this report. unquote How Did We Get To 11 Million Unauthorized Immigrants? : NPR1 point

So you're saying I have no right to speak if I use the word or idea of fascism. Fascism definition: -extremely authoritarian, intolerant, or oppressive ideas or behavior: -very intolerant or domineering views or practices in a particular area: The way illegal migrants are rounded up and sent to a torture/death prison in El Salvador fits the definition of fascism because it is authoritarian, and intolerant. Action against people that causes harm to them and denies the right to due process and does not respect human rights fits the definition of fascism.1 point

So... no idea if any of that is accurate, but lets assume that is what Carney said... Then Canada was never a reliable military partner to begin with. He just admitted they are not going to meet their obligations as part of NATO, which they are a member of and benefit from, but to spite the United States. And you cheer that on? I mean, do you even realize how stupid of a position that is? America has carried NATO for as long as NATO has existed with our military size and the threat we posed to any adversaries. But yeah, sure, we are not the reliable ones because we fund our military to meet and exceed NATO obligations while Canada doesn't.1 point

That is misinformation you are spreading. Claiming Biden let in 10M people is fake news, which has been debunked by Meta-PolitiFact quote No, 10 million people have not entered the U.S. under Biden as pastor Franklin Graham claims There have been 8.7 million migrant encounters since President Joe Biden took office in January 2021. Encounters are events and do not represent people; the same person can try entering the country multiple times, and each time is an encounter. Encounters don’t represent how many people have entered illegally and are now living in the U.S. No spin, just facts you can trust. Here's how we do it. See the sources for this fact-check Evangelical pastor Franklin Graham made a trip to Texas and, while there, he waded into the immigration debate. "(Joe Biden) undid all of the policies that former President Donald J. Trump put in place," Graham wrote in a Feb. 27 Facebook post. "As a result, over 10 million people have come across the border with no vetting, no plan, and no path." Days later, Graham, son of the late evangelist Billy Graham, shared a photo of himself shaking hands with Trump. "Look who I ran into at the border today! He was a great encouragement to many here," he wrote. The Facebook post was flagged as part of Meta’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram.) Graham did not cite evidence for this claim and did not respond to PolitiFact’s request for comment. A November 2023 report by Pew Research Center estimated that "the unauthorized immigrant population in the United States reached 10.5 million in 2021." But that figure includes people who have lived in the U.S. for years, even decades before Biden became president. We have seen this 10 million figure cited before, with some articles attributing it to The Center Square, a conservative news outlet. The Center Square’s article appears to have based some of its numbers on the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s nationwide encounters data, including for a number of months Trump was in office. The Center Square also said it based its analysis partly on information from a U.S. Border Patrol agent who wanted to remain anonymous. But the encounters data represents stops at the border — not people. These numbers don’t tell us how many people now live in the United States after crossing the border illegally. For example, a person who has been stopped by border officials on three separate occasions would be counted as three encounters. People encountered by immigration officials can be turned away, detained in federal custody or released into the country. Featured Fact-check Donald Trump stated on April 29, 2025 in an interview “If people come into our country illegally, there’s a different standard” for due process. By Maria Ramirez Uribe • May 8, 2025 The Customs and Border Patrol encounters data shows that from February 2021, Biden’s first full month as president, to January 2024, the month with the latest available data, immigration officials recorded nearly 8.8 million encounters nationwide. There also have been more than 3.6 million removals, returns and expulsions from February 2021, Biden’s first month in office, to September 2023, based on Department of Homeland Security estimates. There are no definitive numbers for how many people have entered the country illegally since Biden became president in January 2021. It is also hard to accurately measure the number of people who have illegally crossed the U.S. border because border authorities don’t stop everyone. We rate the claim that "over 10 million people have come across the border with no vetting, no plan, and no path" during Biden’s presidency False. PolitiFact Staff Writer Maria Ramirez Uribe contributed to this report unquote PolitiFact | No, 10 million people have not entered the U.S. under Biden as pastor Franklin Graham claims0 points
