Yes exactly. Maybe Hamas should be the enemy of the Palestinians too?2 points
-
They can prevent the shots from reaching them with their dome and incursions into their territory with their army more equipped with weapons and number of soldiers. They can negotiate with Hamas for their withdrawal from the occupied territories and the return of refugees in exchange for peace. They cannot go into Gaza and try to fight Hamas over there because of the lost of innocent lives.2 points

By protesting, they hope that Canada will stop helping Netanyahu kill people and put pressure on him to stop his slaughter. I thought you knew this, it was Netanyahu who brought the war here, not the Palestinians2 points

Want to demonstrate then do so...but you will find their message is not so peaceful, nor legal... No the demonstrations are pretty clear in their messages, they want a one state solution, and the complete state of Palestine which includes the state of Israel....not sure how they can do that with out pushing Israelis into the sea, pretty sure that is hate speech at it's finest... And the number of 20,000 comes from Hamas...which has not been confirmed by no other NGO in the area...remember the hospital bombing that killed 500 , the one that turned out to be a malfunction rocket, that did not kill anyone but rather injured people...Nothing out of Gaza can be taken as fact... No but Hamas was elected by a huge majority, and people seem fine with that result, as there has been very little uprising or talk of it...2 points

There is a hot book on Amazon called: "O CHINADA, The Manchurian Canadaian: Communist Patsy of Canada, CHANNELING CASTRO" O CHINADA, The Manchurian Canadaian: Communist Patsy of Canada, CHANNELING CASTRO eBook : Rosenberger, Richard Abram: Amazon.ca: Kindle Store "We are witnessing the globalist hostile takeover of Canada through Justin Trudeau. Following the World Economic Forum playbook, Marxist powers of this age have "penetrated" the Liberal Government of Canada by the Queen's Royal Assent. Foreign actors and interests currently control the Prime Minister, all under the guiding eye of the Monarchy. An autocoup has already dismissed our Constitution, mandated tyranny, holding many nations. Treaties are signed, but you were NOT at the table!" Is this for real or is this some kind of scam? I don't know. We do know the Trudeau government puts a lot of trust in what the U.N. says and parrots them on some things like Covid vaccinations, climate change and now the war between Israel and Hamas, and mass immigration into Canada. Canada already seems to be less of a sovereign country and more of some kind of property of the U.N. We know Canada also sends billions of dollars to other countries. Four billion to Iraq. And we know Canada is spending tens of billions of dollars on EV battery plants as part of their war on climate change and the U.N. has been banging the gavel about the war on climate change along with COP28. We need to ask why Trudeau and his minister Guilbeault need to using Canada on the war against climate change likely more fervently than any other country in the world. Why are we paying such a heavy price for this war on climate change? Maybe I will get the book on Kindle or get the paperback. It is hard to judge a book by its cover.1 point

https://www.foxnews.com/us/texas-arrested-thousands-us-mexico-border-state-expands-powers-arrest-migrants Texas has arrested thousands at the US-Mexico border as state expands powers to arrest migrants Texas authorities have arrested nearly 10,000 migrants who illegally crossed the U.S.-Mexico border under a new "arrest and jail" operation aimed at deterring illegal immigration. Following the successful arrests, Texas passed a new law that will bolster the smaller-scale operation to expand the authority to make arrests, as well as give local judges the authority to order the migrants out of the country. The changes go into effect in March. The new law comes after Texas first launched the smaller-scale operation to arrest migrants on misdemeanor trespassing charges in July 2021 as Texas-Mexico border crossings reached 1.2 million that fiscal year. Republican Gov. Greg Abbott had predicted the trespassing arrests would produce swift results. "When people start learning about this, they’re going to stop coming across the Texas border," Abbott told Fox News in July 2021. Soon enough, word will get out in Central America, Iran, Afghanistan, Russia, North Korea and whatever other shithole vomiting its human feces into our southern borders. Those animals are not welcome in Texas and they will be put in jail and sent back. They'll have to find other parts of the world to commit violent crimes, engage in child prostitution and deal deadly drugs. This is not immigration. It is an invasion. And it is about to be stopped in the Lone Star State.1 point

As noted elsewhere they pretty much all seem to now. I'm not seeing a lot of "hamas should surrender' protests going on, are you? You mean like the innocent people gaza slaughtered to start this war? It's a damn sight better than the check you just did. From the river to the sea is a right-wing Israeli election slogan going back to 1979. It means as little as when anyone else uses it. That's not how it works, my f*cked up little communist. Now, get off your Marxist worshipping ass, and go prove my sources wrong. We don't move forward until you do.1 point

See, the problem with you leftoids is that you're operating under the mistaken belief that Trump is guilty of insurrection when he hasn't been convicted of insurrection or even charged with insurrection. Based on that alone, Napolitano doesn't even need venture into this area. The Colorado SC overstepped its bounds and the SCOTUS is going to have to step in and swat them on the nose. The REAL crime in all of this is found with the Colorado SC and its interference with Trump's campaign for US President.1 point

They could take off and nuke 'em from orbit. It's the only way to be sure Movie quotes aside, honestly it's hard to disagree. I suppose it's possible that the gazans have finally had it so bad that after this they will do anything to avoid another war and will start seriously pursuing a peaceful resolution. But that does seem unlikely. I think in the long run peace comes when the Palestinians are gone, but hopefully that's not the case.1 point

By and large the various forms of PR simply DON'T work on a riding by riding basis. You either have to give up the riding system or run a hybrid FPTP/ PR model when you elect a local rep but ALSO a number of MP's are assigned by the party. The only model that still really allows for a riding based system is instant run off, which isn't really PR.1 point

You are completely irrational. Has anybody ever told you or are you aware of a thinking problem? You make absolutely no sense. It is impossible to discuss anything rationally with you. You need help, seriously. There was a truce. Hamas broke the truce by killing 1,200 people and taking 200 hostage on Oct. 7th. That is the simple fact. Why do you not understand that? Please seek help.1 point

That figure came from Hamas and is not verified. It could be true or it could be far less. Why are you so willing to believe terrorists like Hamas? So you are ok with terrorists killing Israelis and then hiding behind the people?1 point

Why yes. They did invade, attack and kill. They had very little in the way of resistance...until Russia leveled the playing field. Now they're fcked.1 point

What you are saying it is ok for Hamas to kill 1,200 Israeli citizens and take 200 hostage, but Israel is not supposed to fight back or destroy the terrorists? Seriously! You need to give your head a shake. You are living in a dream world, not reality. That is not true. There was a truce until October 7th. But Hamas broke that truce and attacked Israeli citizens. Are you ok with Hamas doing that?1 point
-
Negotiate? With Hamas? Now there's a stupid idea. While I would like to see the west bank given nationhood for the Palestinians, to create such a nation would be to invite more conflict. No...the only way to ensure peace and the existence of Israel, is to decisively destroy Gaza.1 point

Yes, they absolutely can. Impeachment is a political process, particularly right now. It can acquit, but not exonerate, btw. In the case of both impeachments, there is no question that Trump was guilty. His political party simply chose, for political reasons, not to hold him accountable. Case in point, for the 2nd impeachment McConnell and allies roundly and publicly condemned Trump for doing all of the things of which he was accused, but still voted against conviction on the thin premise that the process was negated when Trump was removed from office. The plain truth is that McConnell thought that after the coup attempt Trump was all done--no longer a threat to party or country, so he sought a politically expedient end to save further embarrassment to the party. He didn't want the next election cycle to be about how "the last Republican was convicted." I guarantee you that if those establishment folks had any inkling that Trump wouldn't go away, they would have bitten the bullet and voted to convict. To be fair, to Mitch and crew, it does seem preposterous to thinking Republicans that people would support the man after a coup attempt. They underestimated their success over two decades of grooming their base to tolerate anything that would spite the "liberals." And now here we are. The first President in the history of the country to subvert the peaceful transfer of power is the leading the race for the Republican nomination. The old guard did their work too well. Today's GOP doesn't believe in America. They don't believe in the constitution. They don't believe in elections and democracy. They believe in power at any price. They believe in vengeance and spite.1 point

I think the main issue that people of most political stripes and economic status can and should rally around is the idea of subsidiarity: Keep decision-making as local as possible. Whenever too much authority accumulates at the top over how people should live their lives, alienation and oppression ensue. We absolutely must be wary of unaccountable organizations, especially global ones, influencing national and local policy. We must also be very careful not to let “crisis” or “safety” become the justification for suspending or removing constitutional rights. The ends don’t justify the means. I think that the main reason Canadians feel such frustration with government is the sense that the people at the top are out of touch with the grassroots and don’t face the challenges of most Canadians. I’m always wary now of elitist trends/hobbies, because they tend to treat regular people like play armies to be moved around on a battlefield, sacrificed, and pressed into the service of some Cabinet or Politburo central planning dream. It’s fine to have causes, such as climate change and inclusion, but when the policies created to champion these causes lower living standards and alienate people on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, etc., we are creating new problems with no assurance that any significant impact will be made on climate or equal opportunity. There are many revolutionaries who want to destroy the institutions and esteem for the people who built much of Canada: scientific, religious, white, European, etc. There’s a desire to destroy our industries and energy sector in the name of “saving the planet”, but rather than actually making industry cleaner in sustainable ways and creating more opportunity for all, the revolutionaries in government are simply raising the cost of living and shipping industry and jobs overseas. We lose our strengths in the process, feel ashamed of what is good about Canada, and feel like our political and organizational leaders don’t actually have the interests of ordinary Canadians in mind. They use their platforms to make themselves look good internationally and throw Canada under the bus. Of course none of their policies meaningfully reduce climate change. Our inhabitable land simply gets more crowded with immigrants to meet some international UN/WEF target, emissions go up, and per capita growth drops along with our living standards and quality of life. Generally I would call what’s underway an attack on tradition. What are we getting in return? We have the freedom to have government help us kill ourselves, the right to take hard drugs and abuse ourselves in countless ways, yet we have made homes unaffordable for young people, raised the cost of living, and cheapened life by ridiculing those who proclaim that life is sacred and constitutional rights are inalienable. Canada is worse today than it was several years ago, not just financially but politically, socially, and spiritually. Somewhere along the way too many bad influences gained too much power. I hope we can rediscover what made us strong. I’m not sure the country will be as good as it was in the past in my remaining years. There’s a dark, anti-human nihilism in the movement to reduce our carbon footprints. There’s a divisiveness in the equity movement and identity politics. There’s a dangerous overlap of biotech, government, surveillance, and automated data collection in the mission to “keep us safe”. The growing influence of A.I., if left unchecked, adds to human vulnerability.1 point

I'm comparing BLM, which was 100% supported by the Dems, including ridiculously supportive statements from people like Michelle Obama and Kamala Harris, to the rioting on Jan 6th, which was not supported by the GOP or Trump, and which Trump asked people to quit at least once per hour for the whole time it was happening. Do you understand me when I say that the Dems 100% supported rioting, and CNN 100% supported rioting, and Kamala and M. Obama both supported rioting? Do you understand me when I say that Trump put out two tweets and a video tweet asking for a return to peace during the rioting? I'm comparing Trump to the Democrats who 100% supported all of the BLM rioting, not to BLM. Maybe sympathy isn't a big part of what you feel, but just remember that AOC told the nation that she got PTSD from a few hrs of rioting while she was surrounded by armed cops, but she supported years of riots in people's neighbourhoods, where they were trying to work, and live, and where their kids were trying to go to school and where they were trying to sleep. AOC experienced 1% of what they did, which she supported, then she cried PTSD. Stop caring about 1 set of laws and disregarding all of the others. No, not at all. Trump has never supported any rioting or violence at all, ever. The Dems, Hillary included, supported rioting, looting, arson, assaults and murder for years on end. The fact that this is theoretically a debate is sad. Well, there's the rub. If it was spontaneous then it wasn't an insurrection, it was just a riot: one that Trump asked his followers to end at least once every hour that it was occurring. All that the Dems did for 3 years was egg the rioters on, and hide bodycam footage that seems somewhat exculpatory, even to black activists. Not even one warning shot was fired. The police didn't even yell. They just killed an unarmed woman. The police never even said "We saw a gun", ever, anywhere. Grow up ffs. Who has Trump slandered, maligned, etc? The Dems do it all the time. It's literally their main election strategy. They have nothing else, especially not policy or successes to crow about.1 point

He didn't ask Pence to do anything illegal. Dems do dodgy things like that all the time. A far more egregious example is Colorado SCJs trying to pick the 2024 candidates. It was just an avg day in America circa 2017. If "the amount of violence" was the indicator then the USA had 200 insurrections since Jan 2014, and there was definitely an insurrection at the WHO in Aug 2020. I mean, you have to admit that if Jan 6th was an insurrection then it's reasonable to conclude that Aug 2020 was as well, and it happened not long after Michelle Obama's hate-mongering commencement speech. Almost none compared to the BLM riots, and BLM had several cops killed as well. The cops killed one civilian on Jan 6th, an unarmed girl, and zero civilians during all of the BLM riots of the past 9 years. Totally wrong bud. The lawmakers (Pelosi, Schiff, the squad, Kamala, etc) who cheered on years worth of rioting, and subjected millions of unarmed/unprotected civilians, business owners and cops to deadly violence, were behind a wall of fully armed policemen for a total of about 3 hrs. I have absolutely no sympathy for them at all - they can all go to hell. I'll go so far as to say that they didn't even get 1% of what they deserved. Did BLM rioters seek blood for 3 full years of rioting? Yep. Fully supported by Dems. If this was a planned insurrection then why was it completely unarmed? "Let's take over the USA with no guns" said no one, ever. Was there ever any danger at all that a bunch of unarmed rioters were going to get past the cops with guns at the capitol? C'mon dude, the insurrection angle is pure posturing. The Demonrats are doing what they always do: accuse, slander, malign, lie, divide, etc.1 point

You have presented ZERO credible science links. Only a MORE ON would even give those left wing opinion rags the time of day. Did you finally figure out that weather highs and lows have never been stationary and that the climate has fluctuated in much more drastic ways BEFORE THE ARRIVAL OF HOMO SAPE? The earth's surface is SEVENTY PERCENT WATER. Greenhouse gasses are NINETY FIVE PERCENT WATER VAPOR. Humans can't even warm a house very efficiently, much less a planet that they only inhabit LESS THAN TEN PERCENT OF THE SURFACE. I know math was never your strong suit. But didn't with this one. or about this subject. Which doesn't mean there aren't legit concerns someone out there might bring forward - but this wasn't one of them. This was a witch hunt. Zero victims, much time has passed, and no chance ot defend himself at all regarding the basis for the fine. It would be like me coming up to you and saying "We've already decided you raped a girl without a trial - we'd like to hold a sentancing hearing to decide how much time you'll spend behind bars now.
