That is why we will again be chasing our tails on this (much like the flu shot). Pfizer is saying the Omicron vaccine will be ready in March, probably ready for roll out by April/June. By then Omicron will have come and gone and we will be onto the next variant.2 points

The only thing misleading here is your post. Not sure if you are even aware of it or if you are deliberately propagating this BS so I will walk you through this for your benefit. As per the claim, the data starts December 14, 2020 when the vaccine rollout allegedly starts. However, take a look at the vaccination curve on the national level: You will note that although the program started in December of 2020, a significant number of Canadians didn't even receive their first dose until June. It wasn't until the end of July that most people got their second dose. Now lets look at the hospitalizations: Visually speaking, the bulk of the hospitalizations occurred in the two middle waves which stared Nov 1, 2020 and ended roughly Jun2 2021....right when vaccination percentages started to actually be a factor. The death total is very similar: Again, look at the yellow section which are deaths included in their data but all occurring at a time when vaccination levels were quite low. The bottom line is they use stats like this to add to the fear mongering and appeal to people like you who blindly following thinking.....wow, the vaccines are perfect. The best comparison of this stat would be to measure the hospitalizations and deaths from a period where the effects can actually be compared and NOT including statistics from a time when vaccines weren't even a factor.2 points

they survived without China and their trade for a long time prior to China opening up why can't they now, because you didn't like Trump retaliating to China's tariffs? lulz2 points

It's extremely arrogant to think any countries can survive without China and their trade. America found that under trump with his silly tariffs. I think you are paranoid about china and communism. There's nothing you can do about it but to ignore and hate them won't change it.2 points

1. Having another bad night Michael... panties jammed up your ass, i mean since we are making assumptions i thought i'd get in on it........ and yet here you are taking your valuable time addressing the very problem you said you would not discuss because it was a waste of time. I appreciate the effort though. I guess an example of that would be the last election Justin called to see if he could gain a majority government, he was really concerned about power distribution. i get it wrong power distribution.... sort of , And to say the actual left what ever in the F8888 that is suppose to mean are the "only" Canadians concerned with distribution of power, equal rights and racism is just bullshit... This entire woke thing is not about a fair distribution of power,it may have started off that way, but today it is changed now it is about revenge for something terrible done in the past something i might add was done by both the left and the right. ya step up and own that , instead of pointing fingers or even suggesting the left thinking are the only righteous Canadians.... And somehow we are being made to atone for our past, so a few white people who feel guilty about themselves can sleep good at night....you can place yourself upon that cross , but not me...I'm good. I'm concerned about the now and today...not yesterday or back in the day. Had this been written any other way, if you where white you get 2 additional days off, or any other race, religion, or creed opinions do not hold as much weight as white ones do, there would be blood in the streets, lots of it...I'm sure you might have changed your opinion ahh this is just a passing fad it won't last long. 2. Having ones life time work destroyed in a couple social media posts, those accusations that may or most likely are not true and for no good reason other than i disagreed with you.... is a point of concern for me, and many others, no one should have that power, and yet we have major companies bending over backwards to accommodate this entire fad of being woke.. Look at the general that was in charge of the vaccine logistics, brought down by a 35 year old accusation that can not be collaborated in any way...fired from his job, relieved of his position, he is now fighting for what is left of his career.... Canceled no way back , and no body gives a shit...it will pass ... Try again Michael, this stories are being carried by both left and right papers or media companies... and there are alot more of them out there.2 points

I do know what happened. I watched it. A bunch of angry Trump supporters, a sprinkling of FBI to push in the desired direction, a cop with a hair trigger, and Chewbaka-guy. If you think they were going to take over the government, you need treatment. BTW...one of the glaring differences between today's angry libbie and a real conservative, is I would never entertain the idea of refusing an American citizen the right to vote. I see the notion has occured to you though...1 point

I'm not fully understanding this 'overthrowing of democracy' thing. They must have had some kind of plan right? Or is it even possible for a bunch of unarmed protesters to overthrow the US government? Maybe you could suggest a plausible sequence of events for such a thing to take place? Or was it just a protest that got out of control and turned into a riot that a lapse in security forces was unable to deal with? Maybe Pelosi and Mayor Bowser should have taken Trump up on his offer to send in the national guard to act as security a few days before? What do you think, eh?1 point

You described a negative feedback loop: the more obvious it is that it's not working, the more effort you put in to not notice. And all the way to the continuity break then with luck, a commission and a belated apology in some decades. And all over again. But wait now we're working with population-level immunity. No, can't go wrong, never did.1 point

I think there’s too little appreciation of the founding cultures in Canada. Post-National State is a void too easily filled by China or some creepy nihilist form of Cultural Marxism. Multiculturalism is nice when we get to enjoy each other’s cultures without forgetting the value of traditional Canada. It becomes a nightmare when we start canceling even the good qualities of the past and pretending that all ideological approaches are of equal value.1 point

Agreed. This is such an alarming level of stupidity that it should be disqualifying for a person in her position. COVID isn't a topic that most people are completely unaware of. She wasn't just a bit wrong, and she wasn't commenting on down quarks, toroids, the cells lining inside of an iguanas colon or the core of a black hole, she was commenting on the most commonly discussed issue of the last two years, and it's like she just came out of a time capsule from 1984. "Like, what's with this corvid thing? Is that like, a plant or an animal or like, [pops gum loudly] that hot guy from the Ramones?" The fact that one of the very key people in the world's foremost democracy is also one of the stupidest people on the planet is really hard to wrap one's head around.1 point

In addition to statistics we can also use natural instruments aka: eyes, ears and that gray matter they are (usually or should be) connected to. Hearing daily about outbreaks in totally vaccinated places, not one or two isolated but so common that there's no need to test and stay home anymore, we know that these treatments for all the good they do are not and cannot be "vaccines" in the same sense as we knew before. If an injection provided a 30% reduction in obesity should it be made mandatory to prevent disproportionate use of health resources due to related conditions? What if it had to be repeated every so many months for the best effect? With some side effects and unknown longer term effects? Astounding is that only some months back we would have laughed it off as some dark fantasy. And look.1 point

https://www.rev.com/blog/transcripts/michelle-obama-commencement-speech-transcript-2020 You obviously don't know the meaning of grossly misinformed. Here's Kamala Harris gushing about how the riots need to continue, and Michelle Obama at the height of the rioting telling high school kids to be angry and to stay angry. Why don't you try to find some videos of Republicans encouraging rioters to stay angry on Jan 6th? Or some videos of those high-profile Dem bimbos telling people to stop rioting? There were violent riots on hundreds of days in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2020. It's weird that they felt like they had to fan the flames, but they did.1 point

Firing unvaccinated people was always arbitrary, fascistic, and unethical. Most of our societal conflict and hardship can be traced to Covid mandates and restrictions. Remove them all, including testing and screening, and watch the staffing shortages disappear. I doubt we’d see a rise in Omicron deaths if our public health authorities got back into the business of healing very sick people instead of trying to maintain their tyranny over every aspect of life in the futile attempt to disinfect society from Omicron.1 point

I get it, vaccines raw raw raw. I get them and I don’t have a superstitious fear of them. The article states that more analysis is required of the immune response of vaccinated people to Omicron. It’s substantially lower than for prior variants, yet Omicron itself is substantially milder, which highlights the importance of looking at all methods of boosting immunity and treatments, not just vaccination. In other words, follow the data as blind faith serves no one. I also think it’s extremely important to remember that we don’t just live our lives in accordance with success in one metric, eliminating Covid, for example. Our anti-Covid measures must be balanced with the whole gamut of other human needs and wants, especially since we can’t eliminate it. Otherwise the cure becomes worse than the disease. I think we’re in that situation currently. Lots of borrowed money and masking and shutting down of businesses, education, and socialization to achieve an outcome that isn’t very good and is probably counter-productive to the overall well-being of humanity. Interesting that India, with fewer government measures and a less vaccinated population, is now a lower travel risk than Canada. It makes one wonder if these waves now are just the cyclical ebb and flow of an endemic disease.1 point

Not everyone can see the big picture. They can't see past the narrative that "if 70%...then 80%....then 90%....now 100% even newborn babies gets jabbed, then life will return to normal." Which were a bald-faced lies after lies after lies told by our governments. No. It won't. In order for everyone, literally everyone, to be force-jabbed - certain civil liberties and human rights must be given up and one of those is you turning your body over to the government and now the government gets to decide your life decisions and medical decisions. That will not be an easy right to get back. We fought hard to get that right. And too many people frivolously threw it out the window over a virus with a 99.5% survival rate.1 point

You prove my point with your intolerance. You need to get some perspective. (By "you", I mean both sides). Politics is a sport. As in any sport, it is not whether you win or lose, it is how you play the game. A friend of mine from Ghana wisely pointed out that democracy depends on not taking politics too seriously. You have to be able to play hard and lose or win gracefully. In the long run, it doesn't matter who wins. Governments have a very narrow range of options and the public service is there to help the government make the best decisions, regardless of party. The enemy of good governance is ideology.1 point

The responsible thing to do, given the novel nature of these treatments and unprecedented breadth of their application would be to implement an effective reporting and tracking mechanism for any adverse reactions. Once again, why it was not done beats everything: reason, common sense, basic responsibility, minimal responsibility, professional standard you name it.1 point

Of course it has. Except nobody tells us to take it to fend off The Rona. Vitamin D isn't an expensive vaccine. Had our "experts" been truly concerned with lives, every news cast and every interview would have been full of information about D, Aspirin, hydroxy, ivermectin and all the other treatments. But they didn't...1 point

Somehow the people who mystically knew in advance that the vaccines would be perfectly safe and 100% effective also knew in advance that every other possible treatment was anti-science and therefor not worth looking into. Remember the IRS targeting scandal? No one ever got punished for it | Washington Examiner This link states that the IRS did indeed look at liberal groups as well . Of 199 groups examined, approximately 75% happened to be conservatives while the rest were left leaning/liberal groups. There are probably an equal number of groups on both sides but one side clearly was targeted more often. "The buck stops here!" Harry Truman.1 point

Once again, Pixey-Dust Trudeau shows just how inept the tyke really is. I happen to be double-vaxxed, but I cannot condemn those who are able to refuse the jab, or simply choose to not take it. That's because I happen to be one of those old fashioned guys who still believe in silly notions like freedom of choice when it comes to certain things...like health...like personal risk...like truth. The TRUTH is, we don't know if the mRNA vaccines pose any danger down the road, because we're still at the first few meters of the road. The vaccines were rushed into use by leadership who were desperate to stop The Rona in its tracks. And while these vaccines appear to have worked in greatly reducing the threat of death from The Rona, they have also been shown to have a very bad effect on a small percentage of recipients. What's waiting as time passes? Nobody knows. Based on this, I cannot condemn those who choose to not get the vaccine and I would ask those who do condemn these "pure-bloods"...'We know there are quite a number of prophylactics and treatments for The Rona. Why are these not being promoted at all?' If Pixey-Dust thinks unvaxxed Canadians are intolerable, then he should resign as leader of Canada and her people.1 point

The same thing is happening in universities. If you don’t accept radical left views you’re painted as a right-wing lunatic. Debate is treated as some kind of trauma triggering event. The fastest way to destroy people’s reputations and careers is to paint them as racist and/or misogynist. Our Prime Minister demonizes people he disagrees with this way too. It’s a sick and dangerous game, defamatory too. Inquisition anyone?1 point

Trudeau is stereotyping people. There are many minorities among anti-vaxxers. Some of them are suspicious of government, for good reason. I also notice many Eastern Europeans who have a similar suspicion about government based on experiences from former communist regimes. Also, some people would just rather wait until the vaccines have had more time to bear results or they want to fight the virus naturally. Personally I think it’s better to take the risk and get vaccinated, but Trudeau is ignorant to dump on these people.1 point

Let's just reflect for a minute what we're having here. When we suspected recklessness life threatening choices in our earlier life not so long back, we would have: a) a court; tribunal, panel, arbitration, etc b) evidence c) an objective and impartial judge, arbiter etc d) thorough examination of the evidence, on all sides e) a legal specialist assisting the defendant f) a process supposedly objective and impartial g) a detailed explanation of the decision by the judge, panel etc h) a review of the decision f) a possibility of an appeal and so on. And now, scroll only a few months forward and we declare a selected group in the society "reckless", "life threatening" and many other bad things just see and listen, please attention here: based on what? Remember, those points A,B,C and so on? Was it that long ago, really?1 point

Critical Race Theory is a silly THEORY that exists as a direct result of our own success. Our own affluence. Our own technology. I'm an old IT guy. Been working in IT since the beginning of the 90's. I remember the beginnings of The Web. I remember information becoming immediately accessible. I remember thinking how wonderful this new medium was. I had a boss back then who said two things which have always stuck in my memory; 1. "Learn this. Its going to be a goldmine." 2. "This is dangerous." The first I ignored and have somewhat regretted at times. The second made no sense to me at the time. Shortly there after, I found myself abroad working for my own country at an embassy. One of the military at the embassy told me the same thing..."This Internet thing...it's dangerous." Decades passed but slowly I began to see what they meant by "dangerous". Imagine...you build a home that has every nicety you could ever want. Then you see...live on The Internet...how most of your neighbors live. They see you too. Empathy...Guilt...and Hatred. It is not my fault that North America has been created as the ideal "home" for most humans. In fact...that is a direct result of the hard work of my own forefathers. Shall I feel guilty about that? Or shall I feel pride in that? We gave ourselves the tools to traverse the globe quickly and to see it all immediately. Then we found a lot of it was not very nice. CRT aims to try to re-distribute that which can never be re-distributed...in the name of a really dumb idea they call "racial equity". It also tries to pollute kids minds with notions of sexual abnormalities...being normal. Ahhhh...but every change of the ages is surrounded by strife and silliness. This one is simply par for the course. So welcome...to the Age of Aquarius. Do try to keep you wits and heads about you...and see things for what they really are...1 point
