The UN became obsolete when they elected Muammar Gaddafi's Libya as President - President no less - of the UN Human Rights Commission and that was way back in 2003.3 points

Many people on the left seem to focus way too much on personality and not actions. No doubt about it, Trump's personality does rub a lot of people the wrong way while others see his style as refreshing. Trump Derangement Syndrome is a real thing with left wingers but I would guess that most Trump haters know little about his actions in the White House or his past accomplishments. Before entering politics , I don't recall ever hearing about him being called a racist , that only happened when he ran as a Republican and won. Anyone that only watches CNN ,MSNBC or the like will likely have a very unfavorable opinion of Trump. Let's not forget that the mainstream media is overwhelmingly left-leaning and they have little interest in fairness. So many false assumptions by such low information voters.2 points

The BDS movement and their anti semite supporters are pretty sneaky with their propaganda which is not as most understand. IF BDS HAD HONORABLE INTENTIONS FOR HUMAN RIGHTS et al, they would not be singularly attacking Israel and ignoring such countries as China, North Korea and Russia, and particularly many of the Muslim countries. Why is there no collective organization protesting their continuing deplorable actions? Obviously because it's not in the interests of anti Semites to do so. "The Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel often presents itself as a non-violent method to support Palestinian rights. It is critical to understand however, that to the founders and leaders of the movement, BDS is a tool to bring about the end of the State of Israel." In the video below, Omar Barghouti -- a founding member and leading activist of the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) -- explains frankly and clearly that, despite what many might think, the end of Israel's military presence and the establishment of a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza is not the end game of BDS. Video "If the occupation ends, let's say, would that end your calls for BDS? No, it wouldn't," he said. https://www.creativecommunityforpeace.com/about-bds/1 point

By the time covid is gone, the enduring legacy of it will be: 1) Massive carnage among small to medium businesses, while mega-corporations like Home Depot, FB and Amazon experience growth 2) Twice as many deaths as a regular flu season, but almost exclusively in the very elderly demographic. People of middle age or lower will have very few deaths, and there will be less than 1% of the deaths of a regular flu season among children. (Less people will die of covid in the US this year than die of medical mistakes every single year, and at the height of the covid 'pandemic' in BC, more people died of fentanyl than covid. Yet covid dominates 70% of our newscasts as if it's the biggest killer ever, and everywhere we go we are indoctrinated in the fear of covid) 3) The government has effectively used the MSM as a fear-mongering tool to exert a huge amount of control over us, possibly even forcing vaccinations on every single one of us, even though nothing that they have said and done during the Covid scare has made any sense. Remember that liberal politicians on both sides of the border did everything possible to kill people via covid at the outset - now they all act like they're the champions of the cause. They did things like oppose travel bans, encourage large gatherings in Feb and March, encourage rioting & looting (large groups of people in close proximity exerting themselves and looting buildings), told people NOT to wear masks, put infected people into care homes... (Honestly, lib sycos need to look over that list and try to find a single example of me not being 100% correct - and what I'm saying is = "Libs/Dems intentionally killed tens of thousands of people"). There's no room left for stupidity as an excuse, the overall pattern is too overwhelming. When you look at #s 1 & 3, you can see how covid has been a blessing to a small few elite companies, and how they could easily see the value of promoting C19 hysteria. FB and other social media, busier and more profitable than ever during covid, are all notorious for shutting down all talk of HCQ, and are pro-vaccination. Social media and the MSM are acting as the book-burners and brownshirts of the covid fascism. The government has even allied themselves with agents of social chaos/terrorism in Antifa and BLM. And at the end of the day, when you look at all the things that are wrong with fascism/communism/socialism, compare the actions of the liberal NA gov'ts with the rise of Hitler, Stalin, etc (dither about the differences between fascists and communists all you want, a lot of the evil things they did were achieved the same way) and you see a lot of similarities: The government is killing the entrepreneurial spirit of the country (more gently than true communists) and narrowing down the economy to fewer companies which all promote their screed, stripping away individual rights and freedoms, exercising extreme control over the main societal narratives through their modern-day brownshirts (FB, Antifa, BLM, state-controlled media, etc), pushing false narratives to divide the people, diminishing the power of legitimate policing, increased dependance on the gov't by citizens, etc. The attack on police, by malcontent losers and the liberal government, is outright disgusting. The complete frenzy that liberals go into when you say HCQ is very telling. They don't want a cheap, off-patent drug to protect us from the monster that is covid, which could eventually kill 0.05% of us if we're not careful. We will have our freedoms severely limited if we don't take their precious vaccine - no flights, can't visit or work in certain places, etc.1 point

Well, I'm not on the Left. I had some interest in him prior to the election. Then I found out about his multiple bankruptcies. That somewhat dimmed my respect for him as a great businessman. Then I read the story behind how his Atlantic City casinos went bust, about how he failed to do even rudimentary studies on ongoing costs vs expected revenue (income per square foot of casinos and per hotel room is a largely known quantity). I read how some guy working for a magazine did it, pointed out that there was no way his casino was going to earn enough to pay the bills, and how Trump threatened to sue the magazine if he wasn't fired - which he was. I read a banker who was in on the bankruptcy hearings say he'd never met a CEO who knew and understood his company's finances less than Trump. None of that has anything to do with his juvenile behaviour or his twitter feed. Since he's gotten into power I've seen him bully everyone around him, though only those with no power or influence. I've seen him fail to appoint people to hundreds of important jobs. I've seen him run through a series of cabinet appointments and aides, firing intelligent, capable people until he got down to the yes-men and grifters. I've seen him openly insult and pick fights with American allies while engaging in grovelling flattery with dictators. I've seen him flout all the traditions a state needs to retain widespread acceptance of its legitimacy and respect for government. I've seen him do everything he can to profit off the office, from directing foreign lobbyists to stay at his resorts and hotels to seeking financial investment from China for his resort. I've seen him exhibit a nearly total lack of understanding about how government works, about how an economy works, about business, finance, law, even the basics of constitutional law. I've seen him ignore this pandemic because it was hitting Democratic states first, and then refuse to do anything to help even as it spread. And because he said it was no big deal to begin with he's refused to backtrack. Because Trump never admits he is wrong about anything. So his administration continues to downplay the disease, downplay the precautions needed and refuse to provide organizational or financial assistance to the states while continuing to tout the message that the virus is no big deal and no precautions are needed. Trump would rather have people die than admit he was wrong. That's just how utterly sociopathic a narcissist he is. And if you think all that fails to provide a reason to feel contempt towards him as president then you have some mighty strange standards and judgement.1 point

There was never any real evidence and no charges were brought for any of the many things Star investigated. They finally got Clinton for trying to cover up an affair. Boy! Imagine if Mueller (a lifelong Republican appointed by another lifelong Republican) had demanded an interview with Trump and started asking about his many affairs! How many charges would have come out of that!?1 point

Sorry Michael, I cannot locate the article with the 85% figure. The following article will have to do: Gender-nonconforming and transgender students are four times more likely to report mental health issues compared to the rest of their peers, according to a new study that is the largest so far to focus on this population of college students. Researchers relied on data from the Healthy Minds Study, an annual online report on student mental health from college campuses across the country. The new study examined responses of more than 65,200 students from 71 American institutions who were enrolled in college between 2015 and 2017. Roughly 1,200 respondents said they had an alternate gender identity, meaning they do not identify with the gender that matches their birth sex. The researchers grouped these students -- about 2 percent of the study's sample, which included transgender students, gender-queer students and gender-nonconforming students and others -- into a category called “gender-minority students.” Almost 80 percent of these gender-minority students reported having at least one mental health issue compared to 45 percent of their cisgender peers -- students whose gender aligns with their assigned birth sex. source: https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2019/08/20/survey-finds-mental-health-issues-are-common-among-trans-college-students1 point

Why a lifelong Republican is going to be voting for Biden. In 2016 I broke with the Republican party for the first time and supported the libertarian candidate. I vote in a solidly Democratic state, so I had the luxury of casting a protest vote against a system that made Americans choose between two members of the New York elite, the least popular presidential candidates in history, both of whom acted as though becoming president was their birthright rather than the highest privilege. But this time, I’m protesting by joining the other side. There is a candidate in this race who, while far from perfect, has a history of reaching across the aisle. He has based his campaign on reuniting the nation and, perhaps most importantly in this election cycle, has reminded us that it’s OK to apologise now and again. America does not have a monarchy. The President is our head of state and our moral compass. Trump has proven time and time again that he is unfit for these roles. I like to believe a Republican leader is waiting around the corner to restore the values and principles that once made the party great. Until then, I’m happy for the Oval Office to be filled by someone who has a different vision for America than I have, but who loves the country and what it stands for nonetheless. https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/why-this-lifelong-republican-has-to-vote-for-biden1 point

Ok maybe I need to get some sock puppets to help explain this because you’re clearly not getting it. If Bush had never needlessly invaded Iraq there would never have been an ISIS in the first place. Get it? Bush said in 2003 the troops would be home in a few months, with minimal US casualties minimal civilian casualties, but when he left office six years later the troops were still there dying daily, over a million civilians killed or displaced, no victory in sight so by any definition the war is already a disaster and colossal f-up before Obama has even been sworn into office. Get it? The justifications for the invasion - Saddams alleged WMD and Al-Qaeda links - were all Republican fabrications so this disaster was not just completely avoidable but a massive fraud, perhaps the worst of our times. Get it? Bush’s fraudulent invasion created AlQaeda in Iraq which morphed into ISIS. The founder of ISIS was even a prisoner of US forces under Bush but was released for some unknown reason. When you’re the person who sets the house on fire you don’t get to criticize the people trying to put out the fire. Get it? As to whether things in ‘08 were better or worse than ‘16 probably depends on where you were. If you were in ISIS territory, sure it’s worse. But the reverse can be true elsewhere. But again the whole shitshow was started by Republicans anyway The terrorism not coincidentally began to subside with US withdrawal from Iraqi occupation and went away almost entirely with the defeat of ISIS. Sure wasn’t anything Trump did. And neither BLM or Antifa have committed terrorism but you conveniently gloss over all the right wing ACTUAL terrorists who have come out of the woodwork since Trump came along haven’t you? Just recently a plot to kidnap the governor of Michigan for example.1 point

By standing by instead of taking responsibility as they were duly elected to do. But that is about to be rectified, hopefully, as Federal District Court in Washington just upheld a lawsuit by more than 20 Seattle businesses and citizens who justly claim there lives and businesses were harmed during the protests. "More than 20 businesses and individuals sued the city on June 24, alleging they suffered severe economic losses and were forced to live in fear and among filth for weeks when protesters took over several blocks not far from City Hall, and city officials effectively ceded authority and control to the protesters." “Plaintiffs plausibly allege that the City’s actions — encouraging CHOP participants to wall off the area and agreeing to a “no response” zone within and near CHOP’s borders — foreseeably placed Plaintiffs in a worse position than they would have been in absent any City intervention whatsoever,” Judge Zilly wrote. “Their allegations are also sufficient to show that the City acted with deliberate indifference to that danger,” he wrote." https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/oct/16/seattle-chop-lawsuit-upheld-federal-judge/ I hope they win billions.1 point

Charges have not been levied, and no wrong-doing has been proven in a court of law. Politics is different from criminal liability. The Democrats failed yet again. If Trump was in Canada, he could funnel money to his family members with impunity, just as Trudeau has done with the We scandal.1 point

Socialism/Fascism was well underway long before Covid came along. Comments that do not fall within the current 'woke' ideology are forbidden. Words and phrases are being expunged due to their purported racism/sexism. Weekly there are marches, protests and sit-ins all across our country in direct contravention of pandemic guidelines but ignored by our federal government leaving provincial premiers to clean up the mess. The 'center' has all but disappeared as sides are taken and the divide gets wider. We headed down this slippery slope when the current liberal government took power and it has been all downhill since then. Covid only exacerbated the problem by giving the government under the guise of pandemic relief, the ability to prop up all their woke causes with millions of dollars.1 point

The ME that Obama inherited wasn’t cozy but it had a trajectory, which wasn’t “straight to hell”. The fact that it went that way is all on him. The ME of 2015 2016 was a shit-show of biblical proportions. There was literally a massive country dedicated to religious bigotry, slavery and genocide. Thats what Trump inherited. Obama said that turning it around was a 5-yr process. He was dead wrong. After only 3 years there were suddenly diplomatic relations between Israel and two arab countries. The US was not a racially divided shithole in 2008. It was a racially divided shitshow in 2016. Period.1 point

This crisis has really caused a rift at least here in Finland among nationalists. On one hand there are people who decry that the government isn't doing enough to combat the virus and there should be much stricter regulations, even curfews. On the other hand there are people who say that this crisis is the biggest bullshit ever invented and only created to justify more power to the government. This disagreement goes among people who otherwise agree on issues such as immigration that there is too much of it happening.1 point

This buffoon of a crime mistake of Canukistan should be arrested and charged for all of his crimes against the Canadian people. There is enough chit on him to do so. The liberal PC party won't do a bloody thing to him. I guess that this shows us all that they all do work together protecting each other's asses while they screw we the sheeple every day. But there is some hope on the arisen. There is one organization out there called Action4Canada that still is and has been holding protests for months now against Teflon Don Trudeau and this Convid 19 lie. But most people would probably not have heard of or know about them because of the lying leftist Canadian media who no doubt is ignoring them on purpose. The lying Canadian leftist liberal media is in cahoots with those criminals in Ottawa. We are in a fight for our freedom today. We either want to get back to our old normal lives as we once lived seven months ago and hang onto our freedoms or people can keep on believing what their dear comrade lying politicians and the lying Pravda media keep telling them every day about Convid 19 and protecting the many many Teflon Don crimes being committed against the Canadian people. It's getting later than you think. This is from a member of Action4Canada. You and others here would be wise to check out their website. Just a suggestion to you all here.1 point

Biden is a funny old senile man and certainly not of presidential calibre, never was, but he is unlikely to be passionately hated by anyone and that alone could turn this election to his favour. Namely, 4 years ago people viewed Hillary like a witch. Even more unlikeable than Trump. Another thing working in Trump's favour was that it seemed ridiculous that there had been two members of the Bush-family as President was there going to be two members of another family too. People didn't like that idea.1 point

Generations. Read, then talk. He also created the DPA law for the criminal entity known as SNC Lavalin, the company that was already busted for bribing a Liberal politician with $2.3M for help winning the $127M Jacques Cartier Bridge contract in Mtl. He also made himself the de facto AG of this country when tried to coerce JWR to let SNC off the hook with the shiny new DPA law when she knew they shouldn't be. So the little bastard fired her, and then bad-mouthed her when she couldn't speak in her own defence because of attorney-client privilege, then he forbade his cabinet from speaking to the RCMP and effectively shut down the investigation himself. He lied about all of it, every step of the way, but the MSM that he bought and paid for with $1.3B of our taxpayer money said nothing. They even hid the fact that SNC has a court-documented history of bribery in this country. Trudeau didn't just have "close ties to We". At one point he offered them over $1M of taxpayer money to host an event which his mom got paid to speak at. They also used taxpayer money to make propaganda for him. In short, Trudeau was just a sleazy little criminal with We and once again the media has his back. The media, except for Rebel, but they're banned from being in his glorious presence - they'll get strong-armed by the Gestapo if they get too close. Baloney. He's so god-damned stupid that he followed the WHO's advice, which made Canada one of the first ten countries to 5,000 deaths. The fact that we got so much covid here meant that we had to shut down our economy, costing us hundreds of billions of dollars. As the country with the world's 40th-highest population and 187th-highest population density we should still be shy of 5K deaths, but Trudeau screwed us, either intentionally or with his vast stupidity. His bought-and-paid-for MSM act like he was a hero by comparing our situation to that of the NYC MSA, where the population of Quebec, BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward, Newfoundland, Labrador, Yukon, Nunavit and the Northwest Territories all live in an area the size of Vancouver Island. Sadly, a lot of Canadians are too stupid to comprehend the difference between people from Moosamin giving covid to people in Charlottetown, and people from Queens giving covid to people from Manhattan who are sitting beside them on the subway. Anyone who doesn't realize that Trudeau screwed up badly 'fighting' covid is just a completely worthless dolt. There's no smear campaign QM, you're not calling out anything. You're just being overly sensitive. Trudeau is a sleazy little criminal and the people with whom he associates are sleazy little criminals or they're entirely suspect for their poor choice of company.1 point

Well...at CBC, so-called right-wingers (I do not and will not vote CPC) are not imagining the effort to make an echo chamber of anti-Trump rhetoric. I wouldn't care so much if CBC was a private media outlet, but this is a taxpayer (me & you) funded entity. An entity that had golden days where it was #1 on the planet bar-none in objective reporting/programming...especially CBC Radio which was beyond special in the Peter Gzowski days. Gone...and I'm now their apparent enemy...even if I was once one of them on a regular basis (always loaned-out to CBC Engineering Dept). This is a real problem with the message coming from the left. "Whatever happened before in history is irrelevant to me, as I didn't care back then. But I care now. And my own feelings are more relevant than facts." "And now, I shall go forth and change the world. For the Better!!!" .... Now we know why Stalin needed the dumbocrats. So this thread started getting derailed here: The problem was hyperbole. All he was really saying was many on the right in America believe there is a problem with what is called "the Deep state." They believe neo and anarcho Marxists are causing problems. They believe the Progressive or as some call it, "regressive" leftist infection has even spread into our Canadian system. They believe this segment of the political left is self-destructive. Remove all the hyperbole and there's no real argument with that. Although we on the rational right would be happy to have it. No need to derail.1 point

Corruption in Canada will never end until they the sheeple start to give a chit about what most of their traitorous politicians have been doing to them for decades now. Our dear comrade leaders have given us more taxes, more government, and taken away many of our freedoms but most Canadians do not seem to give a crap. Probably the reason for that is that the lying Canadian media tries to keep the people in a state of stupidity, panic and fear all the time over dumb azz things like Trump, global warming, and now this hoax Covid virus. I always say that when the lying media goes bonkers over things, like I just mentioned, the best thing to do is to ignore them completely. Go the opposite to what they are trying to push. Be and think like a leader, and stop trying to be a follower. What keeps those lying politicians, the lying media, and those so called health experts alive are the ones that they can get to follow them. "Woke" up.1 point

The rules on this forum are that personal insults and comments are forbidden and that such will be sanctioned. I'm merely attempting to help you enforce your rules: Be polite and respect others. No Trolling/Flaming. No personal attacks. If I wanted to censor or control fellow posters, you'd be hearing a lot more from me - especially about the Russian bots and trolls that are allowed free rein here. So next time I feel that someone deserves to be insulted, I expect my post to stand as an expression of my "freedom of expression" and to see nothing from you in my inbox.
