This is why everyone calls you an Islamic apologist. You simply CAN NOT accept the slightest criticism of Islam without instantly deflecting by trying to pretend Christianity is just as bad. Well, Christianity never mandated death by stoning, nor that women cover themselves with bedsheets, nor that a woman's word was worth one quarter of a man's. Nor a hundred other things. Nor do Christian societies treat women - universally - as second class citizens valued only for their breeding and purity.2 points

No. Men from all religions are rapists. The claim is that Islam, having a violently misogynistic value system which looks down on women and does little or nothing to protect them has made the men who grow up in that system more likely to abuse women. An entirely reasonable and logical assumption which is supported by things like the new years even attacks in Germany, the huge rise in rapes in Sweden, and the large groups of Muslim men arrested for attacking young, non-Muslim girls.2 points

Can you imagine, on top of having to get through life, you had the burden of continuing a culture and ensuring it didn't go 'extinct' ? Although I don't know what that means, exactly, since the fur trapping, farming, and voyageur traditions amongst others are gone, it still sounds burdensome. We only should be concerned about maintaining freedom, and speaking up about those who succumb to limiting the freedom of others. Next generation's "Muslim arabs" will be like this generation's Canadian born Chinese kids. They'll listen to Canadian pop music, and they will live in a true Multicultural society, which is to say a Melting Pot without pressure to conform. True freedom. Whatever society you are proposing, its preoccupation with maintaining bloodlines of the past will necessarily limit freedom and change. It will close off from the world and end up as death-prone itself.2 points

They don’t really need to worry about that because there was no abuse of power. Funds were released without any conditions.2 points

So, a woman is going to endure 9 months of pregnancy, only to decide at the last possible moment "No"? Seems exceedingly unlikely, as in never gonna happen. In fact, its a pretty misogynistic idea that women are interested in having healthy and viable fetuses aborted within a few weeks of their due date. Maybe do some research on why women have abortions, and when, before making stupidly misogynistic posts that essentially accuse women (and their doctors) of being casual murderers.1 point

Have you ever heard of a thing called progress? When was the last stoning that you are aware of in a western nation? Was it in the year 2020? Nope, you have to go the the ME to see that kind of thing in 2020. You're talking about something that our grandparents grandparents grandparents grandparents grandparents grandparents grandparents grandparents grandparents grandparents grandparents grandparents grandparents grandparents grandparents grandparents did and you're comparing that what people are still doing in 2020. Dialamah we're all aware that zealots & religious bigotry were a problem in most of the ME and most of Europe from pre-history up until 1,000 years ago. Some people changed a lot, some not so much, and in some countries the majority of people still live like it's 1,495 - they have no consideration whatsoever for the lives of humans who don't share their religion and they answer only to the god that's inside their own head. Western nations exorcized that type of radical bigotry and religious stupidity hundreds of years ago. It's enshrined in our constitution, it has 100% grassroots support, and it's upheld by modern-day law enforcement and has been for generations. There were only small pockets of resistance in the last 100 years which have finally been snuffed out. The ME is like a time machine, and the dial is set to the year shithole. I get that there are a lot of great people there. Truly great, decent people who are very altruistic and care far more about their families and friends and peace than they do about human scum like Suleimani or al-Baghdadi. Is that honestly what's preached in 100% of mosques? 50%? If you talk to people from Pakistan how many of them consider the actions of their Pakistani forefathers to be righteous and the actions of the Israelis to be evil? Every single person who holds those opinions is just an ignorant, evil, religious bigot.1 point

China has allegedly quarantined cities, and yet it's still spreading. Furthermore, someone came up with a good point - if an authoritarian regime like China cannot stop the spread of this virus, what more with democratic countries (that can't prevent people from exercising their freedom)?1 point

Sure it does, but not on any of their aircraft since before I can remember, a much safer record than say, most other middle eastern countries, most western countries.... My point is this, I'm not saying these techniques are the end all be all, what I'm saying is they are better than the tools we have right now, and if the only prevent one attack , then it is money and time well invested. I don't want government to solve these problems I want them to provide the will to fund and train those hired into these jobs....thats all...And saying there is no problem well, thats just sticking your head in the sand, troops that went over to Syria to pick Justins 30,000 new Canadians had very little screening, or security back ground checks done, because it was impossible to do in the time frame they had, I get it , that was a one off situation, but it would not matter if those interviews were done in Canada, they did not have access to the proper info they needed to do back ground checks....so I know you don't like this solution of interviews, what is the proper tool to make sure we are at least providing some sort of security back ground check ? … And if something does happen, and the question is asked what are we doing in regards to vetting incoming people into the country.... would you accept stop putting your faith into the government to solve security problems, and we did not want to waste resources because it produces little results, as answers to your question WHY is it your family is now gone , victim to an attack.. And perhaps I am naïve, as I have no experience in the immigration of customs field, but I'm sure like ever government dept. in Canada that is starved of funding and training , that one of their recommendations would be for the government to find the will to do something about this issue, and let the experts seek out the solutions.1 point

It's irrelevant in that you're talking about a situation where, if women here don't take a minimal amount of care, they are still extremely unlikely to be the subject of a violent rape, or sexual assault. Contrast that with places where women need to adhere to strict religious codes or they will definitely be raped and the government won't do anything at all about it. So - definitely raped with no penalty to the attacker whatsoever vs might be kinda raped, but in instances where the attackers can be caught they will definitely go to jail. Regardless of religious affiliations or the type of clothing worn, period. Your stat just says that some people get raped here. Big deal.1 point

Beech forests are one of my favourite places to visit in Europe, green worlds enclosed by enormous trees with those strange, smooth trunks - natural cathedrals of a sort - and carpeted by bluebells in the spring. Unfortunately, the German word for them, buchenwald, carries other associations for us now.1 point

Again, impeachment and removal of a U.S. president is purely a political process...not criminal prosecution. Has nothing to do with "justice".1 point

Ya, we know. That's why a whole bunch of young girls were allowed to burn to death - because they couldn't be rescued without their hijabs on. I think you and I have very different ideas on what is "reasonable and common sense."1 point

Why don't you address the lie you told above about the majority of rape being between relationships and marriages? Better yet, don't bother. The way you twist things is pathological.1 point

I very specifically noted that the "consequences" for rape are different between Islamic/third world countries when I said this: I agree that women in Canada/US/etc are more likely to get a fair hearing and their rapist punished than women in Islamic (or any third world) countries Why do you lie about what I post?1 point

If y'all wanted Bolton called, blame the House Democrats, they could have done it, and instead chose not to because they wanted to rush impeachment. They said the evidence was so overwhelming that they didn't need anymore, hence the rushing, but now they are demanding more evidence, clown show.1 point

Not criminal....not worse than previous presidents....not impeachable. There is no dictatorship if elected Senators acquit per constitution. Emotional hate for Trump does not equal political reality.1 point

I'm struggling to comprehend what the ardent defenders of Islam are trying to establish with all this stuff about rape. There is simply no argument that women who are sexually harassed/assaulted in Western countries are fantastically better served by government agencies and public/social views than in Islamic countries. The former face incredible danger if they even dare to report their rape - from their own families. They could be shunned or even killed for damaging the family's honor. Their claims are unlikely to be taken seriously by the authorities, and they're likely to have to face harsh interviewing from men untrained in sexual assault investigations. That's presuming their country doesn't operate on the Islamic rule which says that in law a woman's worth is only one quarter that of a man's. If that's the case then her word means essentially nothing unless she can find male witnesses to the rape willing to testify. I recall the teenage girl in Iran who got pregnant after her uncle raped her. She told this to the authorities, but since her word was only one quarter his all they did was treat it as a confession that she had sex with her uncle - a married man - and promptly executed her. Oh, it was rape? Says who? Sorry, no male witnesses? Then death to you. If anything, the insistence on trying to, by torturous logic, insinuate that sexual assault on women is in any way treated equivalent to that in Muslim countries, or that we even know the rate in Muslim countries, is evidence of the deep-seated fanaticism of the Left which I mentioned in the opening post. They simply cannot bring themselves to accept any criticism of Islam or Islamic countries because the 'religion' of the Left has come to be anti-racism, and they see any and all criticism of minority identity groups as racist. The fact that Muslims are not at all a minority in the world is irrelevant to them. They're a minority here, and therefore any criticism of the culture or values of the world's 1.5 billion Muslims has to be fought. Their thinking goes no deeper than this. Which is what you typically see in religious fanatics.1 point

Like House speaker Nancy Pelosi, Schiff reiterated the need for a fair Senate trial that takes into account these new documents. “If [the documents] are not produced, the Senate and the American people must ask, what else is the President hiding?” Schiff said in a statement. Sounds like a turtle just got flushed. And once again, Charlie Brown takes a run at that nicely teed-up football........ LMAO. Isn't this the 1,000th time in the last 3 years that Dems/CNN/the FBI have had the juicy dirt that they need to impeach Trump? They have been wrong 999 times in a row, and you just saw them lie for three straight weeks about "Trump asking the Ukrainians to make up dirt", and now you just put your blind faith in them telling the truth about whatever new crap they have.... The Dems want "a fair Senate trial" now? After the kangaroo court they just had in Congress where the GOP couldn't even call their own witnesses? Once again their hypocrisy, childishness and stupidity is at the forefront of their plan of action. "Everwun git on bord, tha impechmint trile is on agin yuk yuk!" The Dems are a bunch of drowning "men" clutching at straws. If Trump farts in the bathroom now they yell "impeach". It's utterly pathetic.1 point
