  3. Blind allegiance to the Chinese state and nation. Work for the nation, fight for the nation, die for the nation. Everyone sacrifice everything for the good of the nation. National socialism. Belief that your nation and race is destined to rule the world. Commit genocide against racial/cultural minorities. Purify the nation. Lock up or kill the non-compliant. Build a military war machine. Create a national myth of resurgence. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2019/11/17/uighurs-their-supporters-decry-chinese-concentration-camps-genocide-after-xinjiang-documents-leaked/ The USSR was an economic union consisting of many different nations and many different cultures. Workers of the world unite. Chinese are only loyal to the Chinese. Proletariat and bourgeoisie are dead in China, all work for the nation now. Maoism was murdered in 1978, buried in 1989. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deng_Xiaoping There is no ideology in China other than do whatever it takes to make China stronger...by whatever means necessary. Capitalism, socialism, whatever it takes. An ideology of no ideology is the purest and most adaptable ideology of all. The weakness of the USA is blind adherence to ideology: blind faith in their military might, capitalism, free markets, fear of socialism. Fear of "socialism" & blind faith in free markets has made healthcare and education decay in the US, only the wealthy can access the good stuff while the masses rot. The masses and wealthy all need to be strong to defeat the next great threat. Profit is king in America. In China, China is king. Everyone is fighting each other in America while the China hive plows forward. Adapt or die. Who will reign in the 21st century: China or USA? I say China, as per above.

  4. I know plenty about lefties, I used to be one. I know them better than they know themselves. The lefties that see the bias and don't share are willing to look the other way when their side does it, and are only outraged when the other side does it.

  9. Says you, anyways. And who are you? A rhetorical question... Anyways...the media claim that ISIS captured the compound in Muthanna and they found VX precursors + a number of highly degraded sarin filled rockets which they promptly threatened to dump in some water supply. But, since you were there with ISIS and know exactly what went down, I suppose this is just another example of the media lying.

  11. They are true, they are based on the factual statements made by the AG and the IG and a judge from the FISA court and no one is denying them. Comey: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/comey-defends-fbis-fisa-process-after-scathing-ig-report Not You're right, but the people who say that what Trump is doing is wrong, but didn't say that what Hillary did was wrong, are just huge hypocrites and/or liars and have no credibility whatsoever. You can lump Pelosi, Schumer, CNN, etc into that group. Your hyperbolic, hypocritical statement is duly noted Rue. I get that you were totally in favour of this type of investigation for the first three years of the bogus scam known as the Russian collusion investigation, and that you're in favour of this new impeachment trial (to protect Biden and the Dems' old boys network from being held responsible for their crimes), but you feel like it was a huge crime that diminishes the entire office of the President for Trump to ask for a fair investigation into Biden. Did I get that right Rue? The Dems can create false evidence and then get members of the FBI to lie to a FISA court to get warrants to investigate a political opponent but the GOP can't even ask politely for a fair investigation. But I agree that it sounds a lot better when you say it.

  13. Yes, yes. Anything in the news that is unflattering to Islam is propaganda, misinformation and lies. Pot, meet kettle. Stuff like "Islam deals harshly with homosexuals." What is that - propaganda, misinformation or a lie? Stuff like "Islam is a very misogynistic religion". Propaganda, misinformation or lies? Stuff like "Women should not have to wear burkas to go out in public." Propaganda, misinformation or lies? Stuff like "Islamic terrorism is a real problem in the world." Propaganda, misinformation or lies? No, my dear - it's YOU who doesn't want to hear these things, have them discussed or known. Unfortunately, your bullying tactics cannot prevent all this from becoming known about Islam. People have figured out it's not the "religion of peace". You can fight it all you want, but people know.

  18. People just need to stop resorting to knee jerk comparison to Hitler of politicians they don't like. Regardless of their politics. If you are pretending someone like Trump is Hitler based on criteria that applies to all kinds of politicians, then every politician is Hitler, and that is just a preposterous assertion. Resorting to Godwin's Law is the kind of argument of someone reacting emotionally and not thinking things through. Just because Hitler did something doesn't mean that everyone else who did something that is similar is Hitler or is acting like Hitler. A politician acting like a politician isn't being Hitler, just because Hitler acted like a politician too.

  21. Most Canadians have some kind of faith. I think a generic “source” or organizing principle might be accepted instead of being as specific as the Hebrew God worshiped by three of the five major religions (Christianity, Judaism, and Islam). but we’re even making an assumption when we say that when we refer to “God” it’s the Hebrew God instead of something different from our understanding of what a supreme being might be. Hindus believe in a godhead. The name God isn’t fixed to one individual or group’s idea of God. it’s a mistake to make the state the supreme master of individuals, as the state is always flawed and has crushed its own citizens time and again. If you’re willing to ascribe that level of authority to the government, I think you’d prefer living in China. We’re fools to give up an iota of the constitutional protection of our founding cultures and languages. They have been major ingredients of our success. If you want Canada to be much less Canadian, emigrate. What official language would you choose, some unnatural Esperanto-type hybrid? It would never fly because language develops organically over time, passed on first and foremost orally in families and communities.

  22. Your culture is your language and all of the influences around you. It directly impacts everything you believe. Of course your culture filters your vote. There is no tabula rasa. The flaw in the glasses through which you see the world cannot be removed, no matter how hard you try to be objective, which is itself an idea.

  24. I hear your concerns from an atheist perspective, or even from a humanist or agnostic perspective. I would argue that the “supremacy of God” is a protection against the supremacy of one person or group over anyone else, and that includes the Pope, President, monarch, or anyone else. As an atheist or an existentialist you could call it the supremacy of that which lies beyond our current grasp or understanding. The point is that any person who claims to have all the answers and supreme authority over people, failing some clearly honorable and supernatural basis, should not be ascribed such authority. This is to protect the people against the Stalins and Hitlers of the world, but really from any overpowering public figure. I think if it was called nothingness instead of God it would garner less respect, so even if you think religion is the opiate of the masses, there are good reasons for placing God, or if you like, the organizing force behind the universe, at the top of the hierarchy. Otherwise it’s the church of Henry the 8th or Caesar. People can’t help but deify people, so we need protection from that. The alternative is supremacy of the state. I don’t wish to submit my being to President Xi or Justin Trudeau for that matter. If you lived through Stalin and watched the community (Orthodox) churches get closed or even blown up, you might see more reason for placing the ultimate authority beyond one person. If the state takes the decision to seize private property, “resettle” people in labour camps, or impose family planning punishable by imprisonment, people need to be able to appeal to a higher authority. If more people followed their consciences we’d have less genocide and state sanctioned abuse.
