Don't play that game that some religions are better than others. All religions are political mind control ... to serve money interests.2 points

It's not a religion either, more so it's a political movement. Islam needs to be classified as a political movement, and rightly so, because Islam demands to laws of the Koran be followed over the laws of secular states. When you understand that Islam is a political system, everything becomes clearer.2 points

So you want to see how much effort the Trudeau party are putting into this? It looks like they're doing their best to pressure Canada's allies to always include anti-white supremacy language and anti-Islamophibia language in statements. All to raise the profile of 'white supremacists' as they move to smear the Conservative party in the upcoming election. When the ministers met in France in early April, some of her counterparts pushed back against Freeland's assertion that white supremacy now poses broader threats, the official said. On Islamophobia and the threat of white nationalism, Canada "tends to be the country that speaks the most about these issues and pushes the hardest to get the language included in communiques." Meanwhile, guess who is the religious group most at threat around the world? If you guessed Christians, you're clearly not a Liberal. https://ipolitics.ca/2019/04/23/persecuted-christians-in-asia-africa-and-middle-east-need-help-and-solidarity/ https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/canada-international-allies-butt-heads-over-focus-on-white-supremacism-1.43915662 points

This whole thing is political driven, answering to special interest groups who just look at the demographic make up of each dept....and want to make changes because of the optics it has to the rest of the country....Nobody was even given a thought to "maybe we should just hire the best man or women" but that was not complicated enough now we have to bring in race and religion...What is more important to Canadians, having a soldier that can actually soldier, and meets ALL the standards...or having the right colors and groups on a number chart on the office wall....todays standards are what ever they need to be in order to meet the quota.... Today the standards have been lowered to the point it may be considered a safety issue, all in the name of diversity, the article already mentions lowered IQ standards for people of the north....But there is also a 350 lb man can pass they basic PT test, which can easily be done....they are in the CF... Ever try and lift or drag a 350 lb man who is injured on the battle field, not to mention soldiering takes a very physically fit person, you think a 350 lb person is fit, think they could march 40 kms a day, run 10 km into battle ….carry a 110 lb rucksack for prolong periods in the mountains, in 55 degree heat, in Afghanistan this was a regular routine, even the very fit had issues doing this day after day..... Once again politics set the standards not the military....2 points

Banning anything is the wrong hill to die on. Banning is what fascists do, frankly. Censor...unperson...de-platform...etc. The only reasonable solution is for the planet to demand Islam reform now. Not later. It simply must.1 point

I... guess... I do believe they may have been smelling their farts for so long they can't recognize a rose. Are people really so into installing a Christian theocracy as they seem to think ? I miss the days when they just denied climate change...1 point

Yup. Libs just carry on where the Cons left off. Then Cons carry on where the Libs left off. A never-ending grab for power and money. Will we ever smarten up and get off the Lib-Con seesaw?1 point

Agreed. The first American POTUS with no government experience, he broke the glass ceiling, and it scares the shit out of Washington DC. Trump has opened the door for a wide diversity of people to run for POTUS who just a few years ago would not have had a chance because they were not career politicians. He's shown that an outsider can be very effective.1 point

I agree. There is an international push back against globalization at the core of all of it. Globalization has sacrificed the working class of the Western World, and concentrated wealth in the hands of Neo-Liberal Mercantilists. This is push back from the working class.1 point

I see Mohammed was born C. 570. So Islam, Muslims did not even exist yet.1 point

Trolling OP right out of the gate and 13 pages of pure trash were produced. Congrats MLW, that sets a new bar!1 point

Britain did that, but it’s no shocker that you’re so utterly ignorant that you didn’t know. Youre the poster boy for “a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing”. Your handlers tell you enough just to fill you with rage and hatred, and make you believe that killing more people will lead to peace. “Now go get yourself some virgins in heaven Johnny! We will just stay here and marry four really boring actual women. We’re so jealous of you”. It’s safe to say that you’re on a terrorist watch-list.1 point

Saint George (Greek: Γεώργιος, Geṓrgios; Latin: Georgius; d. 23 April 303[4]) was a soldier of Cappadocian Greek origins, member of the Praetorian Guard for Roman emperor Diocletian who was sentenced to death for refusing to recant his Christian faith. He became one of the most veneratedsaints and megalo-martyrs in Christianity, and he was especially venerated as a military saint since the Crusades.1 point

Trump is doing an awesome job down south. -the economy is still raging, -there aren't race riots all across the country like there were in 2015 and the first part of 2016, -the US hasn't gotten involved in any new wars, -major islamic terrorist attacks are happening less frequently down there (and more frequently under Trudeau than they were under Harper - it seems as though islamic terrorists attack more frequently when the gov't is tolerant of terrorism), -islamic state isn't the size of an average country anymore, -the government isn't spying on the opposition in the States now, or weaponizing the IRS, and -the American government is putting Americans first, unlike in Canada where the government seems to have unlimited resources for foreigners, and they also give foreigners more access inside our country than our own domestic goods get. 10/10! Trump's detractors are sifting through the garbage for rumors about him, that's all they've got. It's a sad day for the Dems, but they have it coming to them. They're just a pathetic bunch of losers with a long track record of being on the wrong side of hostory.1 point

Tories win PEI election. Media in mourning. They were getting sooo worked up at the thrilling prospect of Canada's first Green party government. There'll be a lot of tears at the CBC tonight.1 point

Irrelevant. Whether or not free speech has utility does not determine whether it should be censored, you can disagree all you want, but you have no good reason for that disagreement and want to restrict people's rights simply because you don't see any utility in the way that some people use those rights. Not good enough, if you want restrict people's rights, you need better than "it has no utility" and "I disagree", step your game up, those arguments are terrible, especially when you are pushing for restricting human rights.1 point

You go way too far. Hate speech should not be censored, offensive speech is not actually damaging, hurting someone's feelings doesn't count as inciting violence. Saying things that people are offended by isn't libel or slander either. Good manners should not be enforced by legislating against free speech.1 point

Er, did Bernier not come within a hair of becoming the next Conservative party leader and future ex-P.M.? Was he not one of yours? Was the Progressive (pun intended) Conservative party leadership contest not, hmm, exactly cricket? Bernier's revenge: Will take just enough votes away from "Rebel" member and NRA admirer Scheer for Trudeau (whom I'm not exactly fond of - - - what a letdown!) to squeak through. Think of the alternative: We already have our Canadian Trump in Ontario. Do we need Scheer, a Trump clone as Canada's P.M.? And, the "French", (sic), leading Canada is a bad thing? Really? Did you mean French-Speaking Prime Ministers? If I accept your appellation of Québécois P.Ms as "French," (only citizens of France are French, no?) then I'm forced to state that all Anglophone P.M.s since Confederation were British. Also, Canada is 152 years old. For one-third of those 152 years. a Québécois (not a Frenchman) has occupied the post of P.M. Tell me, did the Québécois alone, all by themselves, 23% of Canada's population, elect them without the rest of Canada? Some British, oops, English-speaking must have voted for these Québec politicians. no? And, finally, look at the results: Has Canada done that badly during those Liberal tenures, most of them Québécoises? Who brought in Unemployment insurance, Canada Pension Plan, Health coverage, reduced working hours and a 5-day week, safety standards in the workplace, old age pensions, maternity/paternity leave and more? Liberals, half of them French-speaking Liberals. Grateful if you could apprise one and all of Conservative "for-the-people" legislation since 1867. Borden gave women the vote in 1018. That's a plus for a Conservative. Name one other. Yeah, Trudeau is an "elitist." I repeat, not my favourite politician, but compared to Scheer, he wears the "elitist" title like a crown. A naive elitist, yes, but one nonetheless.1 point

That's really indicative of the Trump hatred. Who cares that 300 people are dead, lets just laugh off that there was a mis tweet, and call him a moron. I remember last year, one politician said 90 million americans were dying every day from drug OD's, that happens. I swear these lefties have really lost the plot.1 point

A response to the left's incessant, baseless attempts to smear conservatives as Nazis. It is *your* movement that has a long record of apologising for despotism and murder: https://hitchensblog.mailonsunday.co.uk/2019/04/peter-hitchens-it-starts-with-screeching-lefties-calling-us-nazis-it-ends-in-a-police-state.html …1 point

Do they do this type of crap in other countries? Like in China do they talk about Asian privilege? In India do they talk about Indian privilege? Or is this phenomenon relegated to western countries only?1 point

This seems like pretty good evidence that any group pushed off to the margins results in these sorts of problems. OTOH maybe there's something inherently wrong with white people and they just can't succeed unless they're unfairly advantaged.1 point

Hey, I don't want to go to war with you personally. I just want Quebec to separate. It's sad enough we have to put up with translators, just to understand half the stuff our politicians saying. Forcing English kids to learn French in elementary school, should be considered child abuse.1 point
