There is a publication ban in effect. Don't want to upset the faithful. And by faithful I mean the left.3 points

Maybe you people have a point, if saying you have an allegiance to ISIS makes you a nutjob, don't we have a right under law to round up all the "nutjobs" and institutionalize them. This seems like a pretty good tactic. Considering England now has 23,000 known "nutjobs" on their radar, it should make dealing with this issue a little easier.2 points

i don't really care if leftists are offended by coverage of this news item. I only commented on her age. Mostly because in another topic about a terrorist woman who screamed at doctors who were trying to help her after she was shot to "not touch me!" you argued that you would do the same thing if faced with armed police officers. I don't think you read that article either, because it clearly stated she was injured while being arrested as a terrorist and was refusing help from doctors because they were male.2 points

They easily dismiss radicalism as a "nutjob," like as if it doesn't pose any danger just because it is. Whether she's a nutjob or not - it's sickening to have all these nutjobs in our country! We've already have our own nutjobs to worry about - we shouldn't import any more!2 points

If a WASP committed an act of mass violence and yelled "THIS IS FOR JESUS!" while doing it, and there were well-known Jesus-believing sects of Christianity that committed mass murder based on things Jesus said in the Bible and this WASP was a supporter of that sect, then yes we should associate it with their religion (or their specific sect, to be more accurate).1 point

Ok, Finally we get to the heart of the matter. I agree with you by the way. The past is best left in the past. If we keep dragging it up nothing gets accomplished. Some Muslims (and there's many an Imam that says these guys got it all wrong ) commit atrocities. According to many here All (well, not quite all; Most) Muslims are on the same side. Therefore when those muslims committed atrocities it then follows that most Muslims also want to/will commit atrocities. That is the issue I am arguing. I cannot stand this bullshit of 'those guys did that so do something about every one of them Muslim. Because even without any evidence whatsoever (and this is where History is passed off as evidence of an indicivuals muslims intent) of a muslims desire to commit terror, well we have DoP who points to the Siege of Vienna or the last fall of Constantinople and says See? What more proof is required? I'm all for terrorists being incarcerated for the rest of thier days. Im all in favour of the police forces of our land arresting those who are planning on committing terrorism, putting them on trial and incarcertating them for very long periods of time. But I do not support in anyway whatsoever punishing those that we haven't got a shred of evidence against. And I don't give a shit what thier religion is or even if they have any religion at all.1 point

Islam's defenders are doing exactly that: using Medieval events to justify Islam's current violence...they're the real victims, you know.1 point

They may not be terrorists but they are not compatible culturally with the people here and therefore they should not be allowed to come to Canada. This is a symbol of repression they stand for or represent and is alien to Canadian culture and values which is based on equality for women, You wish to be repressed and be second class where you have no rights then STAY where you are.1 point

You mean after someone claimed moral high ground, as if the violence in our midst is separate from our culture while insisting that violence by Muslims is part of their culture? Perhaps those claiming such moral high ground should keep in mind that the US has been at war with someone for 93% of its history, with Canada often following along, that in 2016 15,000 people died in the US as a result of gun violence and that 1000s of men from Western Countries travel to other countries for sex with children.1 point

I'm not defending radicalism from whatever religion. I just don't like the chatter that blames a whole community for the actions of a small part of the community. It tends to lead to burning mosques, painting graffiti on them, and even murdering people in them.1 point

Really? You think Betsy doesn't have a grasp on what's going on in 2017, but you are the one using the 15th century to excuse Muslim extremism in 2017?1 point

And the slaughter of hundreds of millions of Hindus made the rape of Americas look like a little light roughousing. The Crusades were a response to Muslim aggression, to Muslim attacks on Christian territories. Do you even know enough history to understand that Turkey, Egypt, Israel and Syria used to be Christian lands?1 point

I don't know. You're the one proposing it as justification for Islamic terrorism in this day and age. You tell me.1 point

This always seems to me the equivalent of children who excuse bad conduct by saying, "Well So-and-So did the same thing in 1478!!" I really just don't understand your reasoning that since something happened in Christianity many moons ago, it's okay for Islam to be doing worse than that right now.....?? Please explain how the Inquisition is bad, but somehow is a great excuse for what Islam is doing now. (Keeping in mind that a LOT has changed in the world since the Inquisition. Christianity did not have the benefit of access to knowledge and past history like Islam has today.)1 point

For me, I can't support any politician, who has any connection to Geo. Soros and son and apparently, Trudeau had meetings with this guy in the last elections and now Trudeau hooked up with former Prez Obama in Montreal and Obama too has connection to Soros. Is the New World Order back on track?1 point

More likely to hide the truth from the public......sweep it under the rug. See? In Canada we don't have any problems with Islamic terrorists!1 point

It certainly reveals that the burka/niqab is not worn for modesty. Where was this woman's modesty? No, it was worn in allegiance to ISIS and to hide a knife for attacking people. Modesty is not a garment that you put on. When do you think Islam will figure that one out?1 point

When you refuse to read anything negative about Islam, you probably shouldn't comment on the article. She's 32. It says so right in the article.1 point

Oh I know ... Let's admire freedom-limiting countries and emulate them! No problem standing beside women in niqabs. Much riskier to stand beside a man, unless of course I want to be groped.1 point

More likely to protect the woman's family from xenophobes or because she's under 18.1 point

One woman wearing a niqab does something criminal, therefore all women wearing niqabs are ISIS terrorists. Dumb and bigotted.1 point

Why is London so surprised? Elect a Muslim mayor with ties to terrorist groups you gotta think shit's gonna happen.1 point

What makes any of you think she is a "nutjob"? Kinda weird assessment isn't it?1 point

A point was mentioned today. According to the U.S. commentator, Trump has the constitutional right to tweet like any other citizen. You might not like his tweets because they might not be politically correct, but how much different are they than the tweets from the rest of the world on social media? If he wants to tweet, he has that right. Remember it is just a tweet. I wouldn't put too much in it. It's not an executive order. Remember, the MSM criticized him for tweeting during the election campaign. but what happened when he continued. It worked for him and he won the election. Didn't seem to hurt him then. He says the MSM hates that he can get the truth out.1 point

Freeland has convinced herself that Canada can now lead the world by spending a few more billion pesos while urging the United States to still have its back with the serious military hardware and resolve. Even Merkel wasn't stupid enough to say such things. Just who does JT and the Sunshine Band think they are fooling with such nonsense ? The reality is that the world hasn't taken Canada seriously on such matters for decades.1 point

I do find the slogan "Islam is peace" that's being shoved down our throats all the time to be both a farce and frankly, offensive. Anyone with a history book and a newspaper knows that Islam is not peace. The various groups of Muslims have never even had any peace amongst themselves, so trying to pass it off as a "peaceful" religion is an offensive farce. Are there peaceful Muslims? I'm sure there must be, but that is certainly not the mainstream focus of the religion.1 point

Indeed....poor Sadiq Khan had no problem criticizing candidate Trump when he was running for Mayor. Now he can't take the heat....1 point
