Especially considering the average number of flu deaths per year is roughly 650,000. But in 2022 there were only about 20,000 flu deaths recorded. Don't you find that interesting Mike? But it doesn't. The University of Berkeley research as well as a couple of other papers demonstrated that wearing a mask made almost no difference whatsoever in most circumstances. At best it would increase the amount of time you would need to be exposed in order to catch a significant dose in very closed quarters such as a personal office. And even in those circumstances it would simply raise the amount of time needed to catch the virus from about 15 minutes to about 30 minutes. Useful if you were going to stick your head in someone's office to talk to them for a minute but that's about it 1 Quote "That which doesn't kill me... Had better start running."
Michael Hardner Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago (edited) @Goddess "estimated vaccine deaths 17 million" I traced this back through Google to this person: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denis_Rancourt It's just bad information practice to take statistics from a single person, especially when they're out of the subject matter they're expert in. I would generously call this person a 'gadfly'. Objectivity is pretty hard to achieve. I would definitely entertain a discussion on the biases of the establishment, economists, public health experts and experts in general. But I have to say if you're drawn to a gadfly who has such a strong clash of opinions with a large consensus (and this person Rancourt does it with Climate Change as well, apparently) then you have to check why that is. I'm trying to be respectful here in pointing out the difficulty of discussing this topic without a strong foundation of common knowledge and methods. You have never entertained discussion on the basis of the establishment economists public health experts or any experts in general. In fact you almost never present anything from any of those sources. All you do is disparage other people and their point of view without advancing your own arguments. In short you argue by attacking others, not by reason or logic. And that's when you're not just simply saying why are we even talking about this Very hypocritical mike. You once again demand that others present an argument rather than present your own so that you can simply dismiss it out of hand and pretend that you've won. 1 Quote "That which doesn't kill me... They theoretically got tested in March, and that was before the US intelligence agencies went public with that info. SpankyMcFarland Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago (edited) I’m willing to regard this as an open question. Two points: 1. The collective molecular evidence gathered from sequences of the virus continues to support the wet market theory. As the years go by this is harder to ignore and the possibility that the Chinese government has been able to falsify the entire record of the virus’s origins becomes more unlikely. 2. China does not emerge with credit either way. Firstly, the level of hygiene in these wet markets was appalling. Whether such markets should exist at all is a reasonable question. Secondly, the Chinese government suppressed early evidence of the outbreak and hinders open research into its origins to this day.
